  1. No, I bridged the valve covers, T fitting off that to the small can then to the intake air box with a check valve. Most CSS go from the oil fill cap valve cover to the air box. I assume your breather tank eventually gets some in it?
  2. Now how did that help this lazy old man?
  3. Man, I gotta break a promise...wasn't gonna post anymore in this thread BUT...I too am a CSS believer although my CSS is it's own second can but functions the same with the tiny additional catch, doesn't catch a lot but it's not really used as much. I saw yours, you have the valve covers bridged as do I. They both work great IMHO.
  4. Last post, I promise but just how is it going to get burned if it doesn't get introduced into the combustion chamber via your intake valves? The old Port Injection used to wash the valves off DI does not.
  5. None of them are 100% not sure what brand you had but imagine (if you emptied weekly) what they would have looked like without it??
  6. A simple Google search can show you all sorts of DI intake valves with build-up. Not going to try to persuade you either way but the fact that other manufactures have gone to DI along with the older PI (it's a dual system) and GM designing an internal system should tell you plenty. I doubt you will find a specific controlled scientific study on the K2 trucks but (not trying to be a smart@ss) I don't need to rub poison oak all over my face to know I'm gonna have some itching really soon. The above picture is from only 650 miles on my personal truck. Even if it somehow didn't get baked onto the valves, I don't want it being sucked down my intake and into the combustion chamber. It's a personal choice obviously and one that I made for me. I believe that @Snowcamo is going to be tearing down his intake (if not already) and I asked him to take pictures, he is at about 100K but I am not sure if he runs a can or not. I plan on bore scoping my intake at 20K just to see how well OR bad my catch can is or isn't working. I didn't provide you with a study you seek but I did give you a nice long answer to help pass the time LOL
  7. Well, post up the part number and a how to for those of us who are too lazy to search for it LOL
  8. Click on the link in my post! Use GMTRUCKS code!! Or just click here: http://battlebornoffroad.net/bilstein-new-products/bilstein-6112/47273702/i-7531506.aspx
  9. Right now you can get them for $600 shipped...
  10. Yep, I have the Borla ATAK (loud) and use the Range AFM disable module. Never using V4 (to me) is much more advantageous than using the AFM. Sounds great and I believe it minimizes the risk of AFM lifter failure.
  11. Man I hate when crap like that happens sorry to hear this...
  12. Yeah, from looking at the cap, it doesn't look like it will work with stock handles...I am just gonna go with what I've already done LOL
  13. Are the end caps compatible with the stock handle?
  14. Well...I added that part because it's all wet. Either way, if I was selling it I would make sure it was looking it's best. Oddly I see this all the time...people selling their vehicles and they are looking like it just got home from a 3 month road trip... Here is the listing (not sure if this is allowed so MODS if it isn't I can delete it: https://okaloosa.craigslist.org/cto/d/santa-rosa-beach-2014-gmc-sierra/6839313414.html
  15. LOL....no offense taken! It's not my truck and I agree (see mine in my profile) about the lack of soap ...No, I posted this picture (and another) so the OP could see the Topper. This truck is for sale locally on CL and I just borrowed the pics so the OP could better see how the Topper n a RCSB looked!
  16. Well maybe that sand grew into rocks since 84? Either way it’s brutal. Still, I’d go back...for a visit lol
  17. LOL...I was one of those people! Until now I’ll keep an eye out for one now, but for now this will work
  18. Well sort of I guess lol, I did it so the lock cylinder is not ripe for the popping. As long as my fob and truck battery are good I will never need the key. I thought of this when I read another members thread about his truck getting broken into. I figure this MIGHT just persuade some stupid thief to move along to an easier target. Even if I get locked out, I will just drill through the end cap and use my key but for now I’m just hoping it works as a deterrent. Here is the thread that better explains it:
  19. Edwards is not as bad as a lot of people say but still...unless you’ve been there ya just don’t know! I remember in 1984, had just bought a brand new (gutless) Z-28 and got caught in a sand storm ended up having the front clip repainted and a new windshield...all I could do was pull over and shut it down before it ingested sand. Still loved it there though, if you don’t have one get ya a dirt bike or some other toy
  20. Well...I picked up a new right side handle (part number 22923598) off eBay for $20.69 with free shipping so I will swap out the cap without the key hole when it gets here. I had a eBay coupon so I used it and got a pretty good deal, now I will have a spare handle should I ever need one

  22. Very nice! Thank you for your SERVICE
  23. LOL...mine above is free for the most part
  24. I swapped my door handle end caps to make a thief's job just a little harder. Eventually I will get a new end cap and replace my drivers-side rear door cap so it wont have a hole but for a super easy thing to do here is my thread...
