  1. Wanted to throw in a update on my 2014 silverado, my truck has always had that issue with the drive train knocking when slowing down, multiple times GM had looked at it and stated it was normal, at 87k miles the dealer replaced the torque converter, transmission mount and rear pinion seal. Now last week it did it again however for the first time a grinding sound followed and it began to do the same knock when accelerating, took it into my local Chevy dealer, at 92900 miles and with 26 days left on my power train warranty they are telling me the transmission has damage and needs repairs, ill keep you all posted with exactly what it is that they are replacing, im glad I also have extended warranty after my factory warranty expires, now im enjoying a 2019 LTZ for the mean time.
  2. I have a 2014 silverado, replaced the battery back in November, every few weeks the truck acts like the alternator is going bad and the power steering gets tight and the lights would dim as i turn the wheel. Went to my local auto zone to test the system, truck was dead and the guy there looked at the block on top shook it a bit and everything returned to normal, some how the main bolt going to the alt was loose tightened it all down and now no more issues with anything. Maybe its a loose connection from moving everything around.
  3. I have a 2014 silverado and just hit 80k miles, condensor had to be replaced at 42k miles and again this summer at 74k miles but GM warrantied the second job, now it needs a new pinion seal in the rear end. Aside from these the truck has been amazing.
