  1. My dealer did multiple updates at my first oil change. They did ECM, TCM, BCM and another brake related one to address the rapid decline with the brake wear indicator. Also got a radio update while there too plus first oil change. All at no cost to me! My brake wear indicator now shows 100% front and rears. Hopefully this issue is fixed for me.
  2. I have my TB in for its first oil change today and I've asked that they inspect these cooler lines for signs of failure. We'll see what they say. An ounce of prevention, right?
  3. For those of us who don't know, what's an AAM front differential? Would that be on a Trail Boss LT??
  4. Is it just me, or does the plastic covering around the steering column feel extraordinarily cheap? If I don't leave my steering wheel in a higher position, the plastic covering comes apart. I have to "snap" it back together. Trail Boss LT.
  5. No, really! It's normal. I don't know why, but they all seem to do it.
  6. It's normal..
  7. Isn't there an eboost software update that addresses this issue? Seems like I read that somewhere..
  8. Are they visible from the top or is this picture taken from underneath? Thanks for this information!
  9. O ring? That’s not related to the oil cooler line, right? Something else we have to worry about. Ugh..
  10. Mine's an 08/21/2018 build. Hope ours is okay!
  11. Is there any sign or symptoms that this catastrophic engine failure is about to occur, or does it just let go?
  12. Inquiry minds want to know! Following..
  13. I guess what I struggle with on this issue is, my truck was built 08/21/18 in Indiana, the same week as some of y'all's trucks that are leaking. I didn't purchase my truck until about two weeks ago. On top of that, my LT Trail Boss was a dealer trade from a deep south Texas dealership as my dealership needed some Trail Bosses on the lot. So, I know for a fact since August of 2018 until I purchased my truck two weeks ago that it has been routinely rained and snowed on for seven months and there is no sign of leakage. I'm trying to wrap my head around what happens to cause the leaks after these trucks leave the dealership and become daily drivers and how that is somehow the trigger for the leaks? My truck had nearly 700 miles on it when I bought it, as it was driven from south Texas up to Amarillo for the swap. Wouldn't that type of driving trigger a leaking event? Perhaps it leaked while sitting on the dealership lot and my dealer repaired it before I purchased the truck? I see no evidence that it was worked on like that. Color me confused!
  14. Where on the engine is this line located, for future reference?
  15. Y'all are freaking me out about this problem, however; I live in the Panhandle of Texas and it doesn't rain a lot. I'm hoping that I won't have the issues some of you are. Side note; did y'all's trucks leak right away or did you drive them for a while and the the leak started. I'm wondering if the rear window frame was always broken or if something happened as a result of driving (e.g., body flexing, etc.)?
  16. It’s not personal. It’s business. I’m under no illusion that the dealership or salesman gives two craps about me.
  17. Do y’all think this is a widespread issue affecting thousands (or more) of trucks or just a handful of unfortunate owners? Aside from this forum, I cannot find a mention of this issue anywhere else on the inter-webs. This thread has certainly made me paranoid about my truck! Ugh..
  18. https://accessories.chevrolet.com/search/2019/Chevrolet/Silverado 1500#/98014/Decals?sortId=top There you go!
  19. Chevrolet accessories sells the letters for $150 and you install yourself. I went to a local auto trim shop and had vinyl letters added to my tailgate where it's stamped CHEVROLET. Looks amazing! Cost was $99. My truck is an LT Trail Boss so I don't have the grill letters, but same concept applies.
  20. Mine is 117xxx. Does that mean my truck was the 117th built?
  21. Yes! This is what I was referring to. It's very tight shifting out of park into drive, but then I can wiggle it up and down like you mentioned. My wife has an '18 Tahoe and it the same with hers. I guess I'm worried for nothing as this seems to be "normal". Thanks for the reply!
  22. Is there a definitive time frame of truck builds that this is an issue? My Trail Boss is a 08/21/18 build at Ft. Wayne. No water issues that I’ve observed thus far.
  23. So they (the dealership) could benefit from the incentive discounts from GM. I was like, sure! Not really. I'll see what, if anything happens sooner than latter! :-)
  24. I've owned my Trail Boss LT for 2 weeks and yesterday I refinanced it with my local credit union for a MUCH lower rate without making a single payment to GM. Guess I'll wait and see if the dealer balks. I don't recall signing anything saying I couldn't refinance, but rather they asked me to make 3 payments to GM.
