  1. First tow with more than an unloaded flatbed.
  2. I just got mine from realtruck as well. Slightly discounted plus $100 mail in rebate. I ran a full ARE canopy for years and just got sick of washing and buffing it and not being able to load tall items in it. It was nice for the dogs, but that's about the only thing I miss about the full canopy.
  3. I didn't know there was more than one size.
  4. I am probably having an outfit in Portland gut the whole Bose system and throw it in the trash, and I'm sure they can fab up a box, but it sure would be nice if it fit. I had a stealth box two trucks ago and it really was butter. You just know it is going to be perfect volume for the drivers if JL makes the box.
  5. If anyone knows, is the Crew Cab the same under seats for the HD's as the 1500s? I am looking at a Stealth Box: https://www.abt.com/product/133728/JL-Audio-Stealthbox-For-2019-Up-Gen-4-Chevrolet-Silverado-GMC-Sierra-Crew-Cab-Trucks-SBGMSLVCC412TW3.html
  6. Looks like I got pretty even coverage after first rain:
  7. Here is a pic from Yesterday:
  8. Post polish, pre top coat (too dark for final pics).
  9. Over the last three days I buffed and prepped for ceramic coating, coated it (Car Pro CQuartz UK 3.0), and then top coated it (Car Pro Gliss). And battled the weather, some rain, and cold. I probably should have waited for warmer weather, but I think it came out great, all things considered.
  10. This seems bizarre to me. At my dealership I use the same sales person and finance manager (I have their cell phone number) and I work with the same two people each time I buy a truck. I pick up the phone and call their cell and tell them what I want and they either find it or order it for very competitive price, every time. Then I roll in, sign some papers, and roll out. I don't see how dealers stay in business who make it so hard on a person who wants to buy a new truck.
  11. https://www.autoblog.com/2020/02/27/killing-a-duramax-youtube-videos-gale-banks/ From the video series, it looks like the stock turbo charger is a big limiter, but that there's a lot of power to be squeezed out of the stock internals, if you are so inclined.
  12. I went from 1/2 tons in 2007 to a 3/4 ton gasser in 2010, to a 3/4 ton diesel in 2013 and 2016 to a 3500 DRW in 2019. All of these trucks have been my daily and I'll never go back to a gas truck or a 1/2 ton (I may go back to an SRW, I am still on the fence on this). I prefer driving the diesel loaded or unloaded, hands down. And I really like towing whatever I want, when I want, or throwing whatever I want in the bed, without having to do a bunch of math. Everyone has their preference, but unless you are off-roading and need a lighter truck, my preference is for having a truck that will do whatever work I want it to do, especially now that they ride like luxury sedans.
  13. That is so much more truck. Congrats on the DMax.
  14. For those who have diesels, what size is your fuel tank? My 13, 16, and 19 all came with a 36 gallon tank, but there are reports of much smaller tanks now. Thanks.
  15. Both my 2013 and 2016 standard bed Crew Cab with Duramax came with 36 gal tank, so did my '19 DRW Crew Cab with long bed and Duramax. I seriously doubt GM is going backwards on this.
  16. Ugg. That would suck if you can't easily tap straight into the factory head unit.
  17. 500 lbs. vs. 250 lbs. of carry weight and better construction from what I can tell. I went with the pro and am pretty pleased with it but can't say i would have been disappointed with the cheaper model. https://realtruck.com/blog/retraxone-vs-retraxpro-comparison/
  18. My wife's Benz has adaptive cruise coupled with other safety features and these features together are the bees knees. These features actually saved her once when she was towing our boat and a van had a blow out just in front and to the right of her. Her ML 400's brakes came on slowed her down and pushed her to the side and she avoided a collision by inches before she even realized the car in front was crossing right into her. It is also awesome in a traffic jam or severe congestion. Adaptive cruise is one feature I would for sure like on my next truck if they could get it right when towing heavy.
