  1. your passlock is bad , you need to buy a new passlock module, it is located in the dash right below either cubby hole or cd player whichever you have, to get to it you must remove kick panel and ash tray assembly and reach in and to the left of ash tray hole, unplug it first then pop it out , they dont make new ones but you can get a reman out of St. Louis , Mo, but you need to get old one out first as you need serial number on old one
  2. you might still have air in the system, turn your heater valves on, and start squeezing hoses to try and force the air out.
  3. rear bumper bracket are easy to fabricate , or go to wrecking yard and get used
  4. 96 thru 98 after that they went digital
  5. take your vin number to dealer parts and the can look it up for you , or there is a website that you can do it there too, i just dont remember the name of the site, but i did it last year and i have a list of all rpo codes and what they represent
  6. all aftermarket mirrors i have seen are the same as what you have , they are distorted , or they vibrate so bad you cannot see out of them, that is the reason behind my last reply
  7. sounds like bearing in rear diff making noise, you said rear diff is new , or is it new to you , when mine went out it was howling loud, out of 6 bearing in rear end 4 were bad, as ring and pinion worn till teeth were sharp
  8. could you tell us a little about your vehicle , year make engine size, maybe with close up pic show a wide angle pic, top pic looks like evap purge solenoid , but can be sure without more info
  9. yes your pressure are low, but to cause backfire, not so sure , i think that would be a timing issue.
  10. as txab has shown you there are many aftermarket pans , i have been told the aluminum are better sealing and displace heat faster, amazon , summit racing , jegs , all have pans with drains , you have many choices, i also was told by transmission builders , get a deep pan
  11. the only good mirrors are factory , you get them at dealer if available , or wrecking yard , or gm forums, sorry , but those are your choices
  12. you probably have a bad pinion bearing
  13. scan tool , not a code reader , scan tool has bi directional controls , it can talk to computer
  14. did he do a relearn on crank and cam , these are computer controlled systems , gotta reboot the computer system , making sure the computer sees everything, like putting a new mouse on a desktop you have to tell the computer its there
  15. start by checking wrecking yards , maybe you can replace whole box, or if you just want to replace socket hardware you might hit dealer up , they shouldnt be model specific, all trucks have fuse boxes and all boxes have the clips to hold fuses in
  16. i would start with powers and grounds to injector pump, check fuses and relays , swapping parts get expensive fast
  17. if you're going to pull a fifth wheel maybe electric fans should be in your future, saves gas (i know a 454 will pass anything but a gas station)and runs cooler.
  18. there is no difference in the bodies of these two trucks, should be same exact grill, unless your changing years, but you not asking that
  19. there is a vent on top of trans , it could be leaking there, or maybe your oil pressure sensor might be leaking, can you tell what type of oil is leaking ,
  20. you should have dropped the oil pan when replacing timing cover , its the only way to get it to seal , timing cover install first then oil pan , otherwise it will never seal correctly
  21. my choice would be gm performance , if you can get it, they dont make as many anymore
  22. sorry , but modifications are difficult to predict, and measuring is the best advice i can give to something like what you want to do, im sure it will fit with a few modifications , but that depends on you and your skills
  23. i would say , take measurements and see, your talking about 2 different truck platforms and the only way to know for sure it to take measurements
