  1. I gotcha, I’m not seriously bothered by anyone here. Just used to forums where people are are actually helpful.
  2. It’s funny, I came in here asking a simple question as I’ve never seen the speedo off on any stock vehicle especially a brand new one with under 500 miles on it. And most people’s answers weren’t helpful at all or even productive to the conversation. I have no problem dealing with my speedometer being off by 1mph if that is occasionally normal but I’ve never seen it so I asked a question.
  3. Another brilliant post! Thanks so much for you thoughtful insight on the topic!
  4. That’s fine I can understand that as well. Just was seeing if this is a common issue or a way to get it fixed.
  5. Thanks for being so helpful!
  6. So I just got a 2021 Crew Cab RST, and I noticed that my GPS speed via my waze app was 1mph slower then what my trucks digital display reads. I know its not my phone/waze as they matched in my 2020 Silverado LT and in my wifes 2021 Traverse LT. And there is one of those speed radar trailers that sit on the side of the road and flash red when your going by to fast, and I set my cruise as I passed it and it showed a mile under what the dash read. Is there a fix for this?
  7. So it appears that the MyChevrolet app was updated sometime in the last week or so. I have the subscription service to use the app as my key fob, but with the new update I can't seem to locate where the fob is inside the app. Anyone else using the app know where its located in the new update? Nevermind, I figured out where its supposed to be. Its just not showing up on my app.
  8. Yeah, mines the same way. And I'll probably never use that seat as a seat. Especially since I have the crew cab and mines only a lease. So when I give it back/trade it in, in a year or so. Then they can worry about fixing it.
  9. Looks like a recall on 2019-2021 1500's that have the bench seat. https://abcnews.go.com/Business/wireStory/gm-recalls-840k-vehicles-seat-belt-suspension-problems-74877884
  10. It'll come back. Mine only lasted about 500 miles. So far since its been cold here in Wisconsin the noise only presents itself after driving for a while. More than I typically do in my day to day driving. I figure come spring(warmer weather) when the noise comes back at a more regular frequency I'll take it back in. I just don't have the time to make an appointment and then go drive the truck for a hour or more just to get the noise back to show the tech.
  11. I understand the concept of this. But isn't that just more work? You remote start the truck from where ever you are, then you either need to unlock the truck right away and leaving it unlocked as its warming/cooling or hit the unlock button before you walk out the door or keep the fob on you so door unlocks when you get to it. But if you keep the fob on you then the fob that's kept in the truck is useless at that point. Not sure his situation/scenario he wants to use this setup for but either way just seems like extra steps. I know I wouldn't leave my truck running unlocked especially if there is a key fob in the truck that just had to be pulled out of a pouch. And I understand you can "hide" the pouch in the truck. But then there's another step you have to do once inside the vehicle just to get going.
  12. Yeah I'm pretty sure that's a coded software(safety type feature) not a simple on/off switch in the truck or app. If the truck detects the key in the cab it assumes your there and can just press the start button. I know when I first got my truck I forgot the extra fob inside it and would try remote starting it with the other fob I was using and the truck wouldn't start with the fob itself.
  13. Are they always in the way? Don't know what you use your back seat for but you can always just fold them down. I really only use the back half of my crew cab for the dog, groceries or other misc things. I think ive only had like one person ever sit in the back. So the seats are always up and head rests folded down.
  14. So I noticed yesterday on my way home that I can hear the noise again. So it only lasted about a month before it came back. What have been peoples experience with brining there truck back again once the noise has come back? Will the dealership even do anything for me?
  15. Yeah I know, I'm just waiting for it to disintegrate. I was messing around the other day and put it in 4x4 and accelerated quickly. I started to smell a funky rubber burning smell. So I'm sure its only a matter of time especially as we are getting into winter and I'll have 4x4 engaged more often.
  16. I have a very similar experience with my 2020 1500, 5.3 w/ 8 speed about 7k miles on it. Was driving doing about 50mph and then all the lights started flashing and saw those same warnings on the dash. After a minute all lights and messages went away and the truck went back to normal. I took it into the dealer and they said there was a stored code for an engine misfire, but that was it. I asked why all the other lights went crazy and there only answer was some sort of power surge to one of the modules caused all the warnings.
  17. So I'm about 500 miles out from getting the new shaft and O-Ring fix done on my 2020 1500, and so far I haven't herd the noise. But its also getting chilly here in Wisconsin so I'm not driving with all my windows down all the time like before. I could still hear it before with my windows up just quieter obviously, but so far so good.
  18. I just had the "fix" done to my truck yesterday(10/15/2020). New axle shaft, seals and the o-ring. So far so good, but I really haven't had the chance to drive it a good amount of time or distance. And the weather is turning cool/cold here in Wisconsin so it would take longer for the noise to happen. And from other posts I've seen some say the problem went away for a couple hundred miles after the fix, then came back. So I'm going to be listening for it to happen again and will come back here now and again to see how others are dealing with there's and to keep people informed on how mine is doing.
  19. Don't know where you live but here in Wisconsin if they fix the same thing 4 times and still doesn't fix the issue or the vehicle is not operable for 30+ days, it can be lemon law'd. You'd have to look up your state laws to determine what they consider lemon law. I'm waiting for them to get the axle shaft, its currently on back order. This will only be the first time they'll have replaced it. But if they replace the shaft 4 time before a real fix is found out, I'm lemon lawing the truck.
  20. Interested to see some responses, currently don't have this issue as my Golden is just over a year old. More or less just seeing if anyone has one and how it holds up to a larger breed dog.
  21. Sorry if you already posted this somewhere else, but what was the settlement you and GM agreed on? Gotcha, well at this point if its not fixable I'll deal with till the point of lemon lawing it and then probably switch to Ram. But who knows how long that will take since I live in Wisconsin and the law states the same issue has to be repaired 4 times and still not fixed or sitting unusable for 30+ days. And well, they still let you drive the truck while it makes the noise and with the parts on back order. Who know how long it will take to get it fixed 4 times.
  22. So I started a different thread not realizing that is the same problem I'm having. I took my truck(2020 1500, 5.3 w/8 speed trans, just over 9k miles) to the dealership today and showed the tech my complaint. The called me back to tell me the same everyone else is being told. GM wants them to replace my Axel Shaft along with the seals and a O-Ring. But the problem now is that the axel shaft is on back order. But they've said its fine to drive my truck and they'll call me when they get the parts in.
  23. Well that sucks, if the truck keeps making that noise its going to irritate me. If there is no fix short of putting in a new updated diff, could you try lemon lawing the truck? I guess what are you doing about it?
  24. So I did try the auto when I got it to make the noise again today. You are right, when I put it in Auto the noise went away. I went to the dealership and had the tech come with me and he herd the noise. They looked into it and talked with GM. GM told them they need to replace my axel shaft along with a couple seals. But the parts are on back order. So they said I can come get my truck and they'll call me when they get the part.
  25. Thanks for the info, I plan on trying to make this happen before I go into the dealership tomorrow, so I’ll test that before I actually go in.
