  1. Well GM did my final repair attempt under lemon law. They inspected it and said there was no more leak. Low and behold a week later we have a hard rain for a few hours and it is still leaking. I reopened my BBB auto line case and an awaiting an arbitration date with GM for them to repurchase the truck.
  2. Finally got some good pics of mine. Man this truck looks mean.
  3. Yes the window frame has been updated. It is a much thicker plastic now.
  4. That’s great that it’s holding. In my opinion it’s holding because the cracks are not the source of any of our leaks. Mine turned out to be a popped bubble in the body seam seal applied at the factory right under the spoiler. I think it is just a convenient coincidence for GM that the frames were cracking. the TsB never stops the leak because it does not address the true source of the leaks.
  5. Well the saga continues. Its still leaking water. Filed a BBB Auto Line complaint as well as started the lemon process with the state of FL
  6. Not at all. That piece is easy to remove and wrap
  7. It is 3M matte metallic red. I order the bulk film from fellers.com
  8. So we have finally found the source of the leak in my truck. I went to the service department yesterday to get an update and they took me back and showed me. on the line of body seam sealer that was applied at the factory by the robots which sits directly under the spoiler there was a air bubble in it that popped. This was filling with water and then leaking through the seam to the truck. You can see it in the attached pic. what they did was filled the void from the while with flexible dealer and then are also sealing it on the top also.
  9. I wrapped it without removing it. If you take your time its a piece of cake.
  10. I’m my opinion. If it doesn’t leak don’t change it and give it a reason to leak.
  11. They redesigned the frame and track for the slider window. The made the plastic thicker. The new design windows don’t seem to crack. Which is why people are realizing that the window frame is not the only source of water leaks. I got an update on my truck Friday and they said they have narrowed it down to the spoiler bolts in the middle behind the 3rd break light.
  12. If they do it obviously is not right since my truck has been back 4 times for it leaking lol
  13. That is correct. And the TSB does not really address the spoiler bolts all that well.
  14. If you are referring to the 2019 models before the slider window frame design was changed then yes it has to do with the window. But "ALL" Silverados and Sierras of the new body style suffer from the spoiler leakage issue. That is where my leak is coming from since I have the new style slider window without any cracks in the frame.
  15. Welp not home 45 minutes and it starts raining. Low and behold the leak they fixed is still there. Now it’s in 2 places. And now I have a water spot on the headliner which I never had before. I will be contacting a lemon law attorney tomorrow. if I go to trade this truck in on something else I would take such a hit. This is ridiculous.
  16. Well got my truck back. I’m semi-confident in the seal since they specifically mentioned it was coming from the spoiler and they said the seal didn’t cure last time so they used a better sealant than the tsb recommends. But my problem doesn’t end there. Now they have to replace the headliner since it is dropping in one corner and resting on the slider trim. They also cracked the cardboard of the head liner. then I come home and find a scratch/slit in my leather seat. Someone must have had something in their back pocket when they moved my truck around. caller GM today to start a case.
  17. I agree but until GM admits it and actually designs some gaskets it’s even adds some weather stripping where the spoiler meets the roof it’s just going to keep happening. they have 1 more time to get it right if it happens again in my truck with less than 1500 miles on it before I lemon law it honestly this TSB should be part of PDI before the trucks make it to the customer.
  18. Spoke to the service director today. They were not happy with the seal as it was still leaking so they are doing it for a third time. As I suspected the leak is not coming from the window. They confirmed that It is coming from the spoiler bolts on the roof and channeling down to the window. This is such a piss poor design on GMs part. This has to be a much larger problem but I just think that most people don’t notice it.
  19. It’s not a trim piece. It’s the silk screening on the glass the flash is making it look grey.
  20. Well 2 weeks with the TSB done and it held up during some storms. Last night it rained. When I check it there was water again. It was not nearly as bad but none the less it is back at the dealer for the weekend. it is definitely coming from the spoiler. Because I dried the window and then tapped the spoiler and out can a drop of water. You can see the water following the contour of the window frame. oh 2020 LT Trail Boss with 1200 miles on the clock. First repair was done at 700 miles. Only had the truck 6 weeks. Build 11/19
