  1. I've had my muffler delete around 500 miles now with no engine light or issues. I had the same concern and did a lot of research beforehand. Doesn't seem like too many issues are out there with exhaust mods.
  2. Thanks! Every truck I've ever had has been red with black wheels so I decided to try something a little different this time. The titanium grey has a lot of personality in the sunlight. I'm glad I went this direction.
  3. Got my new wheels mounted today. 20" TB replicas in titanium grey from Florida Speed Shop. Highly recommend them for wheels. Transaction was easy and shipping was fast. I love the way they turned out on my truck. Still running stock tires until they're due to be replaced and then I may go with something more aggressive.
  4. Bump! New wheels went on today so these need a new home. $900obo.
  5. Found these by accident while changing my front signals to LED the other day. Don't really know what they'd be useful for but they're pretty cool anyways.
  6. I've had it done for a week and about 250 miles. So far, I don't hear any drone on the highway until about 80mph. Anything above that is a slight drone that you'll get with any system at that speed. Very minimal. There is also a slight drone going up hill that immediately goes away when the truck downshifts. If you leave the flapper (or both flappers if you have the 6.2 like me) it really helps cut down the highway noise. I was hesitant. But then I figured the worst thing that could happen is I hate it, buy a new muffler, and lose $75. I'm still way ahead over buying the whole catback. But I'm an accountant and cost saving is my life haha. I think it's worth a try for any owner looking to do an exhaust system. The risk is minimal but the reward is great if you like it. Here are some samples from my truck:
  7. I'm a huge advocate for the muffler delete since I had mine done. No drone from mine and cost me $75. Sure beats $1400. Something to consider anyways.
  8. You can get the bulb out without having to remove the harness. But it takes some patience. I had to turn my hands a bunch of different ways before I figured out an angle that works. It's a pain but it looks really nice when it's done.
  9. I made a very similar jump a few weeks ago. I came from a 2017 LT Z71 5.3 4x4 double cab to my 2020 RST Z71 6.2 4x4 double cab. There are small things I miss about my K2. I liked the gauge cluster a lot better and it seems to make less wind noise on the highway than my T1. The blind spot mirror on the driver's side mirror made me more confident than the blind zone indicators on my new truck. But overall, I like my T1 much better. It feels more solid in every area I can think of. The interior gets awful reviews by the car mags but I think it's great myself. The cameras are much better and so is the infotainment. The paint quality is better and the factory dual exhaust is a nice touch. I also appreciate keyless entry more than I thought I would. There's really no benefit to a 2021 over the 2020. The only big change is wireless Apple Carplay/Android Auto. Trade in values are already starting to come down and 2020 incentives are high so the longer you wait, the more you pay. It sounds from your other thread like you've found a really great deal so I would jump on it.
  10. That sounds like a great deal to me. Just be weary of the 8 speed transmission with the 5.3. It's been problematic for years in various GM vehicles. Some owners never have an issue, some have all kinds. But the price is strong regardless and the trade seems fair, too.
  11. Here's a link to the ones I got from Amazon. Can't beat the price for a set of four. I haven't noticed any heat issues yet but time will tell. They are definitely bright. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07FNH8XZK/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
  12. My tail are LED from the factory so I haven't messed with them. It's strange that you're having those issues with the CANBUS compliant bulbs. Maybe have a dealer reflash your truck to a model that has LED tails from the factory?
  13. My apologies! Forgot that. I'm in Eastern KY.
  14. For sale are new take-off RST wheels. My new wheels will be here Monday. Local pick up preferred but will ship at buyer's expense. Tires and TPMS sensors not included. $1,000 obo
  15. Yeah I installed LED reverse lights too and it makes the truck look a lot more classy. I also did the license plate lights which are a pain to change but look a lot better.
  16. I replaced my front turn signals with a set from Lasfit and they're awesome. After installing I was surprised they let something so dull leave the factory. Best part is built-in resisters so no hyperflashing.
  17. Bump! Make me an offer. I'd like these suckers gone.
  18. Yeah that's way too much for a muffler delete. But some places will try to charge extra for those "delete pipes" even though they're unnecessary. Yours sounds great though!
  19. I just had the same debate on my 6.2 and decided to muffler delete it. Man... what a difference. I left all flappers and resonators in. Cost me $75 and sounds incredible. No drone under 80mph and then a very, very slight drone afterwards. The flappers really help. It isn't too rowdy for neighbors in my opinion. Here's a cold start for you. It calms down really quickly after. I would try it out and worst case scenario, you don't like it and stick a muffler back in its place.
  20. Speaking of exhaust tips, has anyone found a good set of quad tips yet that look good? I've been debating going quad on my truck since I just had the muffler delete done. I really love the set Borla sells but I don't think you can buy them without the whole catback.
  21. Very nice! I took all the emblems off of mine this week. I'm debating on what I want to go back on, if anything. I think I'll keep everything off the tailgate. I went ahead and ordered 6.2 badges in black to replace my chrome, but I'm thinking about moving 6.2 altogether as it doesn't really look like it belongs on the hood. Maybe I'll put those where the Z71 used to be? Decisions, decisions...
  22. I used a hair dryer and dental floss. I would recommend fishing line because the dental floss broke on me a few times. And gloves so you don't slice your hand haha. My biggest issue was getting the glue off. I worked on it forever with heat and Goo Gone. It's tough. My buddy has an attachment for his drill that's made to take pinstripes off and it took care of the glue in about two minutes. Didn't scuff the paint but I hand polished it after just in case. Then I felt dumb for working so long with the Goo Gone haha.
  23. Have you taken the factory badges off yet? I just did that project yesterday. I don't know what kind of adhesive GM uses on those things but you could pave roads with it. It was a project getting those off. Whew. I don't think I'll replace mine with anything but those look really nice.
  24. Thanks! I had a muffler shop fabricate it. There is only a slight bend so you can save your money on the delete pipes.
