  1. On my 2020 different but similar cover. I had to put some foam rubber strips into the corners as they cover does not seem to lay totally flat. You could see light.. I had the stuff. its just 3m tape on one side and like 1/2 inch thick. most box store in there door seals and threshold area will have a similar product that will work.. Good Luck
  2. I have a 2020 Bought back in Aug of last year. But i only have 3700 miles on it . I Still Driving my 04 and will run it until it totally dies. I can only hope this truck will last half as long as the 04 EXPRESS 3500 HD has and still in great shape. Its a TANK . Many people come on here when they have issues about there truck , You rarely see the higher mileage happy owners. They do not think about forums or talking about something that just never lets them down... I think the trucks are reliable and will last.. No they are not built as well any a o3 o4 truck.. Good Luck .
  3. I will look in the paperwork in the truck. that GM Envelope where everything from the sale is at and see if there is anything in there . I Do however know my Truck is Strangely equipped from this dealership then the ones i could find locally. I got the Truck from Salem Indiana. (way out in the middle of no place i would live land) its WT , it has Power everything .Trailering package, all chrome bumpers and aluminum wheels .Its the only one i could find with power windows ,doors and Mirrors, Keyless entry and HAVE VINYL Seats. Absolute Must for me Work Wise. My Assumption was that this dealership is so big out there in the country they order them to specs they can sell to farmers. Anyway if i find anything with a option number ,code or information that would be useful i will post it. It will be over the weekend when i use the Truck... Trailer breaks makes a way better Ride and less wear on the truck. not just the Truck brakes.
  4. YES . Its factory controller.. i Requested to be installed as part of the sale. I went back when the tags came in and they put it in. took them only a few minutes or so .As i said the Wiring Pig tail was in the Glove box. Gm saves 25.00 by not just installing it standard with the Trailer package.
  5. I have a 2020 WT . It did not have the controller but the wiring harness was in the glove box. super simple to install. I do not think they had to do any programming.
  6. My Truck does this as well. Sometimes it will engage itself if I'm parked on level grand and hooking the trailer to its bumper. The bouncing around can cause it.. But sometimes it will just do so to test itself is my uneducated guess . oops I mean hooking trailer to HER !! Bumper..
  7. Ok I think my Truck is a unicorn .. 2020 4.3 v6 8'2" bed . oops forgot pic
  8. This is going in the right direction. I drove truck with 2.7 4.3 and 5.3 engines. I Bought one with the 4.3 only because its Better known for LONG Term Reliability.. The 2.7 does run closer in performance to the 5.3 and my opinion is it will last as well as the outers. Turbo engines Just scare me.. I am old and in the back of my mind they will fail even thou i know its not true . I would say get it if its the MOST Fun for you to drive... Good Luck
  9. I do not have that Truck with that engine. But your asking for a Diesel to do what a gas engine is better at.. OFF The line HP which is usually at higher RPM.. The Diesel engine preforms best at at lower rps and produces power when its under a LOAD .I Blame this on your salesperson. , It sounds like they sold you the wrong truck. Diesel engines . Duramax is for pulling Hauling . Its not going to give you that Sports car put your head back into you seat moment. My opinion from years of Driving Construction Trucks and Equipment a Diesel is a Different kind of power ... Hook a trailer to it and you will see where it shines .
  10. I have one that will move off full rather quick but when its on empty its Empty and you are about to be stranded. Its much older 2004... But generally they take a while to move off full. I think the gauge is off in the 04 express
  11. This is the true Definition of CHEVY COUNTRY...
  12. There are Laws in place to protect consumers from a BAD Produced Products. These laws very by state. Check with your state laws on New Car Lemon Law if you are not satisfied with G M response to the issues. Most lawyers of this type do not charge you up front and are paid at time of settlement at no Cost to you. With the above said . Have you contacted GM Directly and asked the about a buy back. If you have that many issues they may be willing to work something out with you to get you into another truck . Being nice but firm helps best . GOOD Luck.
  13. When i look at this (I really do not want it to happen) But i cant help to think about the Hail storm we had a few weeks back... OUCH.... I May loose sleep over this.
  14. not specific i just seen the upgrade kit listed on a gm parts website. There was information about the parts required and so on. and it was actually in August or early October last year. We bought our truck early August . might be gmparts.com or something like that. So your thinking is Probably correct.
  15. There is a nav only upgrade for the ior radio.. i think you replace the whole radio and it cost around 800.00 . I think your best using Android Auto or car play. the Maps are constantly updated and no map upgrade fees. OHH And its Free.... To pay that much just to add navigation is not worth it.. ohh it might had sat radio as well if you do not have that. I looked into it when i get my truck so the info available may be some different now...
  16. my truck is the same. the debris is small ground up. i think its coming in from the cowing area or under the hood somehow. I noticed it when installing fender flairs
  17. I had this happen using android auto.. it was a bad usb cable . mine was rebooting not shutting down .
  18. Call GM Customer care and tell them you need to get it repaired but must have a compatible vehicle . be nice but firm and they will ok the dealer to rent you something from enterprise . its how it works for us .
  19. From there WEBSITE... I have been kinda watching . This kit will NOT work on IOR equipped vehicles.
  20. We have a 2004 Express 3500 HD that had the oil cooler lines replaces Twice within a short period of time from dripping leaks up near the radiator . Not a cheap repair.. The last time the Shop who worked on it Had some custom made at a Hydraulic hose company that specialize in High pressure LINES.. If you can find someone to do this you are probably better off then buying another factory set that will likely leak again. We park this van on very high end customer Driveways. We can NOT HAVE ON Drip of anything from under it..
  21. The short answer is NO.. Apparently the wiring in the truck does not support the higher end models.. I prefer Android auto as it works in both my new Truck and MY 04 VAN (aftermarket radio) the same ..
  22. HI I have a 2020 4.3v6 Long bed Well equipped WT Truck. I am not sure why they call these trucks grocery getters or OK if you do not really need a truck. The trucks are Lighter then the 4 door SUV With a open trunk (5 foot bed LOL ) . Very capable of pulling trailer and hauling about anything the average person would want. They load mine with a fork lift at the lumber ,I Tile and other materials suppliers. Pulls my Dual axle loaded dump trailer well . it will not match the towing capability of my 3500HD. But it also makes much less stops at the Gas station. OHH I am not sold on 4 cylinder gas turbo on this truck. I think it will be spooled up wide open when loaded or pulling anything. and i believe they will not hold up in the long run using them . My opinion. the 4.3 is a solid engine . I think the high end trim package trucks are pushing the prices thru the roof for people who actually still use a truck for what it was meant for. GRRRRRRR
  23. I have this exact same thing happen on my 2004 express van that has a Lo jack like tracking anti theft after market device. The installation company told me the Battery Tender charges the battery full. Goes off then a few hours later will come back on and starts Discharging the Battery slightly then goes back into charging state .. During the Discharge state on the battery tender the Alarm system senses a battery Drain. The only solution for my Van . which is much older is to NOT Lock the Van. This causes that part of the Alarm System to not active. Since its a aftermarket alarm I am not sure if this will work for you are not. It is possible the hood open might be triggering it as well. I only use the battery tender on the Van when the temps drop super cold out and I use it because i have a Heating pad in a compartment in the back where i Keep Tool Batteries , Caulking and things that need to stay above freezing. If you need a battery tender on a Brand new Truck all while stored inside your garage you might wanna take it in to be serviced . Just my Opinion
