  1. I trimmed my mat in that spot around the box.
  2. Do yourself a favor and buy this under seat storage from DU-HA. It is not only larger but eliminates that gap. It's worth the cost. AmazonSmile: DU-HA Chevrolet & GMC Silverado/Sierra Light Duty Crew Cab, 2019 New Body Style: Automotive This is mine installed.
  3. Installed the GM black chrome exhaust tip. Looks much better than the stock setup.
  4. If there is any friction, you haven't gotten them tight. The boards won't move if they are installed properly.
  5. The Duramax hood on the Silverado 1500 is the exact same as the other engine offerings, other than the "Duramax" emblem. The induction system for the 3.0 Duramax is the exact same.
  6. This is correct. The T1 trucks can't even run the older Silverado wheels in the same size because they will hit the caliper. I'd suggest picking up a set of 18" takeoffs from a T1 truck and running the tire you are looking at. This is a good side by side comparison site as well. Custom wheels, rim tire packages (rimsntires.com)
  7. My Note 20 Ultra connects to my trucks Bluetooth fine (shows signal and battery on the screen). However, when I try to use voice dial (steering wheel button) it only "finds" a phone about 50% of the time. I drive a lot and the states I drive in it is illegal to have a phone in your hand. Is this common for everyone else?
  8. I agree with these two. I also had one on my '16 Colorado and loved it. The one on my Colorado was the original design. I did not install the front foam seal on my T1 and have only had a little water come in around the tailgate when it was raining hard or I was washing at the car wash. I'm going to get a tailgate seal and see how that works out.
  9. I have almost 7k on my truck since I got it (10/21/2020) and with the radio on you don't hear the engine unless it is reving into the 3k+ RPM. I keep the volume fairly low because I like to hear if something changes in the trucks normal sounds. This isn't my first diesel so I'm used to kind of blanking out the noise. The 3.0 is no where near as noisy as the 6.6. I've had several people ask why I have a Duramax emblem on my hood of a 1500. When I pop the hood and they see the Duramax on the engine and hear the slight rattle from it they are shocked they couldn't tell it was a diesel with the hood closed. Plenty of power at low RPM (460 ft/lb at 1,500 RPM) and excellent fuel mileage. No, it will not out run a 6.2, but it will get 550-600 miles on a tank of fuel that is cheaper than 91 octane (at least in my area). I don't see a 6.2 going that range between fuel stops. You will not be disappointed with the 3.0. In my 7k miles, I've averaged just shy of 28 MPG. That is a 4wd crew cab truck. My wife's 2020 Equinox (2.0T AWD) only averages 22 MPG and she drives like a grandma on a Sunday drive. I will get the 3.0 again if it is still available in 4 years when I get another truck. The only difference in another truck is I will get either the LTZ or High Country next time. It is nothing on the RST (I love the truck), but there are a couple features that I'd like to have that are not available on the RST (cooled seats, surround view camera).
  10. The "baby" Duramax 3.0 in the 1/2 tons also use 1000 watts according to my 3.0 cord tag.
  11. I've been plugging my truck (2020 3.0) in during the nights it gets in the 20's and 30's where I live (southern Indiana) because I'm a volunteer firefighter and don't want to jump in a cold diesel and take off. Granted my truck is in an attached garage, but it still is cold in the garage. When I get in the truck in the morning to start it for work, it comes up on the temperature gauge between 160* and 210* marks. Not sure if the diesel thermostat control is different than the gas trucks.
  12. Go to KBB's site and do their cash offer. You will be surprised how accurate they will be on what your trade in is. I've bought 5 trucks in the last month for work and new was considerably better than used. Used car pricing has exploded because of COVID.
  13. Check one of the last couple post on the last page. I didn those yesterday. LOL They are super bright and should have came factory. They are very well built and bright; not to mention Firewire is in Indiana. Cool. I'm in Salem. I've got family in Jasper.
  14. Replaced the backup lights with the LED's in the link below. Holy smokes, much better light. Now just waiting on my license plate LED's to get here tomorrow and I won't have any more halogen bulbs in the truck. AmazonSmile: NINGLE 921 LED Reverse Light Bulb White Extremely Bright 906 912 T15 W16W 579 921 LED Bulb for Backup Reverse Light Pickup Truck Cargo Light Bulbs Canbus Error Free 6000K (Pack of 2): Automotive Amazon says they won't fit a 2020 Silverado, but they obviously do.
  15. Nice looking ride. Check out www.firewireleds.com. I've got their 32" light strip in my grill (blue/blue). It is better than anything else I've had on a vehicle. For the price, you can't beat them. They are bright as all get out and very noticeable during the day and night. Off, these are not very noticeable. They are ran into the cab with a switch in the power outlet on the dash. Jasper, IN?
  16. Do it. The amount of light these LED's put out is amazing. You can see it flashing at night on road signs and ground around the truck. No one will ever doubt you are turning. This makes the front turn signals as bright or maybe a little brighter than the rear OEM LED turn signals.
  17. Good to know! It is hard telling. I'm surprised they go away with only the very small amber LED by the headlights. I've gotten comments on how there isn't any front facing amber lights, then I point out the small one by the headlight. It's almost impossible to see from the front.
  18. Absolutely. I've got a good video of the lights flashing on the wall in my garage. It is crazy how much different they are. Are you using the same LED's in the link?
  19. Replaced the halogen bulbs in my front turn signals with the LED's in the link below. Picture on the top is the halogen bulb and bottom is LED. I let them run for about 10 minutes without any hyper flash. AmazonSmile: OXILAM 7440 LED Bulbs Amber Yellow 2800LM for Turn Signal Lights with Build-in Load Resistor CANBUS Error Free T20 7440NA 7441 W21W WY21W Blinker Bulb Replacement (2PCS): Automotive
  20. My 2020 has Michelin Primacy LTX in a 265/65R18. So far they have performed great. My '16 Colorado I had before this truck came stock with Goodyear tires that were horrible. I switch to Michelin LTX tires on it and loved them. I ran 2 sets of them on my Colorado before getting the RST. When these OEM Michelin tires need replacing I will probably go with the LTX or if I can find a set of black 18" or 20" take off wheels whatever tires are on them.
  21. Whew. I got the wires I needed into the cab on the passenger side where it shows in the video. Man was it a pain to get to. The 3.0 has a bunch of stuff shoved under the hood. I felt like I was standing on my head just to get to the spot. Thanks for the help.
  22. Surpassed 4,000 miles on the truck. I got it on 10/21/2020.
  23. FYI, this is in stock now from Amazon.
  24. Keep me in mind for a beta tester. ?
