  1. I was searching for that video as I was scrolling through reading this thread so I could post it here. That's an excellent video on the 2.7. The diesel comes with a 5 year 100,000 mile warranty. More than likely you'll have a new truck before the engine warranty runs out. The lowest trim you can get the diesel in is the LT. Not much difference in the cost of the Custom and LT. The diesel is only a $950 upcharge in the 2021 models.
  2. Bump for price reduction. Wanting to move these.
  3. Eh, I'll spend the cash when I get to the 150k mark to get the belt replaced. It is warrantied until 100k. I'll take the 24+ mpg in a 4wd truck any day.
  4. That's what I'm saying, you need to see what the Instant Cash Offer is or go someplace like Carvana or CarMax. Those websites are months behind what the actual values are as of today. Dealers use daily actual market data for trade-ins now. They do not rely on those sites. It is a market game. It would be like getting GameStop's stock values from 2 months ago and thinking you were going to buy it today for that value.
  5. We've ran 93 octane in it since the full tank of 87 was ran out that the dealer put in it when it was bought. We've never gotten above 22 mpg in it. Granted, it only has 6k miles on it in a year and no trips have been long distance on the highway.
  6. I've got 2 BAK bed covers for a long bed (6'-2") Colorado (Revolver X2 & BAKFlip G2). Both covers are in great shape. The Revolver X2 was purchased on 12/24/2015 and was taken off the truck in December 2016. The BAKFlip G2 was purchased on 7/22/2019 and taken off the truck in October 2020. All mounting hardware is included. These are too big for me to box and ship.
  7. I haven't seen a drop so maybe I've only been using winter blend since I got the truck. If that's the case, I can't wait to see what the mileage is when summer blend gets back to the pumps.
  8. It is fun having data like this. I've got a screen shot of every fill up hand calculation since I got the truck on 10/21/2020. My average fuel mileage is 26.493 mpg with the lowest being 23.983 mpg and the highest being 29.349 mpg. I'm amazed how a 1/2 ton pickup can get better mileage than my wife's 2020 Equinox with the 2.0T engine.
  9. For the ones that I traded in last year, the instant cash value was spot on with what I got. The trade in value if you go through the standard process was about 25-30% lower. Chevy Dude on YouTube has a good video on this topic. I can't seem to locate it now, but if you wanted to search it out you can. He's a salesman for a local Chevy dealer in Louisville, KY.
  10. The 3.0 only cost $900 more in the 2021 models. When I was looking for my truck, the one I got with the 3.0 was cheaper than the other RST with the 5.3 in it. The difference was the other one had factory installed running boards and the leather interior. I'm glad I got the 3.0 one.
  11. I have a 2020 RST crew cab short bed 4wd and consistently get no less than 25 mpg out of my 3.0. that's a combined city/highway driving. If I'm all highway, then I'm getting 27-28 mpg. My highway driving is at 75-80 mph. I can get upwards of 600+ miles out of a tank of fuel (24 gallons).
  12. I usually let mine run for anywhere from 5-10 minutes before I get in it and move. It really all depends on how cold it is for me. You have to remember, at least in my truck, the crew cab is huge. It took me a week or so to get used to the time it took the HVAC to get the cab to comfortable temps. I was coming from a '16 Colorado so the cabin size what 2-3 times more. Idling a diesel will not hurt it like a gas engine. The worst part for the diesel engine is the Auto Stop/Start function. Starting a diesel is what is hard on them.
  13. Go to KBB and do their Instant Cash Offer. The sites like KBB and NADA are nowhere near correct. Every dealer uses a daily market value to give trade values on vehicles for their market. The KBB Instant Cash Offer will pull in dealers from your area and give you an almost exact trade value/offer. You can almost take that amount to the bank as that is the market value of your vehicle in your area. I've used this twice in the last 2 months just to get an idea of what trade I would be getting. It was spot on both times (within a couple hundred). Used car market is like the stock market now. It is up and down daily; even almost hourly
  14. What percentage was showing in the dash on your filter before you changed it? I bet if you removed the new one after putting fuel in it, it would have looked very close to the old one.
  15. In Southern Indiana so far this winter we have seen some single digit mornings. My 3.0 hasn't had any issues starting without the block heater plugged in. I remote start it every morning and let it run for about 8-9 minutes before I push the start button on the dash. By that time, it has already moved slightly above the 160* mark in the dash. I take it easy until the temp gets up to the 210* mark. It generally takes about 4-5 minutes of driving to get to that point. Keep in mind that these trucks have the active shutters in the front and will stay closed until it gets to temperature. These act like the old school grill covers on diesel trucks. If the temps get down to 0*F or lower, you do have the block heater you can plug in. Even with the truck warming up in the morning, I still get between 25-29 mpg on every tank.
  16. Crossed the 10,000 mile mark yesterday. The lowest mpg I've gotten in a tank was 24.5 and that was mainly in town driving. I've only had the truck since 10/21/2020.
  17. The truck still has glow plugs. The ECM holds off starting the truck until it sees the temperature in the engine from the plugs. Mine has shown the "Wait to Start" light several times for a period before starting. As said above, GM doesn't recommend plugging it in until it is lower than a certain temperature. These engines will not lug as much when starting as the larger diesel engines that are using thicker oil. The 3.0 has 0w20 oil spec.
  18. Just make sure you install the drain tubes in the front of the rails. I used the upper plugs on the front corners of the bed. You may want to invest in a tailgate seal as well.
  19. No, there is no need for the front seal. When you get the cover you will see that it has a rubber strip that will lay down on the bed to keep water out.
  20. I got this one right before I made this post. I haven't gotten it installed yet either but probably will this weekend. AmazonSmile: Lund 30002 Genesis Tailgate Seal: Automotive
  21. This. My tailgate gets dirty quick with the bed cover on and stays clean as the rest of the truck when it's off. The aerodynamics change so much with the cover that the vacuum behind the truck pulls in water/dirt/dust. It makes me wonder how the bed cover affects fuel mileage.
  22. My bedcover does an excellent job of keeping water/dust/dirt out of the bed. The short fall is the tailgate isn't sealed. I have more issue with the dust/dirt and the dirt that comes from road water getting in the tailgate. I am a very neat person and opening my bed and seeing the black bedliner covered in dust/dirt on the last 1/3 of the bed drives me nuts (especially when I know I haven't hauled anything that would make it dirty). Not to mention that the little bit of water that gets in my bed is from the tailgate. I like to put stuff in the very back of the bed that would otherwise get wet if it was raining.
  23. How does it do with keeping dust and water out of the bed? It looks like it doesn't do anything for the vertical portions of the tailgate.
  24. Has anyone found a good tailgate seal for the T1? I've got a Bak X4 on my truck and I get a little road dust and water in around the tailgate. I'm wanting to get some sort of gasket to go around it to seal it when it is shut.
  25. Exactly why I went with the DU-HA over the OEM. Not to mention that the "lids" on the OEM are pointless the seat bottom acts as a lid as well. The lids on the OEM one makes an extra step to just get into the storage area.
