  1. Hey Seamus - yes, that was the first call I got when they first took it apart. They said that the flywheel failed and that it also banged up the housing. Didn’t hear from them for 2 weeks and they called back and said the transmission was filled with metal so that was also getting replaced. He said the master tech is also starting to disassemble the engine but it’s looking like that will also get replaced.. truck showed no symptoms and was driving fine. I’m trying to stay optimistic about the new drivetrain… curious how rear diff and transfer case look. I don’t know enough about these drivetrains to know if they’d be affected by this as well. Thanks for the response!
  2. Very true. I guess its a win, frustrating not having the truck for a few months though. Could be worse, could be paying for all this! Thanks for the reply.
  3. I have a 2020 RST with the 3.0 LM2 Duramax with 79k miles… the flywheel failed when I was driving down the highway and left me dead in the water.. I had it towed to the dealership 4 weeks ago and they called today and said the transmission and the engine needs to be replaced. Has anyone experienced this with their trucks? I never towed anything heavy and was religious with service.. luckily all covered under the 100k powertrain warranty…
  4. Possible solution… I’m not an expert by any means but I found that the infotainment system in my 2020 Silverado does some weird things if my iPhone isn’t updated. I got this same screen that everyone is talking about on the backup cam last night for the first time.. couldn’t get it to work. Checked my iPhone for an update and it needed to be updated to the latest version of iOS. Low and behold when I get in the truck this morning it works with no issues. Again, no clue if this is just a coincidence - but updating my phone has fixed glitches in the past. Worth a shot, hopefully this helps.
  5. No word yet… they’re hopefully going to dig into it tomorrow. So frustrating!
  6. Not sure if there's anyone who has had this problem or knows what may have caused it.. I have a 2020 Silverado 3.0 that I was driving yesterday and it completely shut down and I had to get it towed. I was approaching a stop light and when i came to a complete stop I went to disengage my auto start/stop and the second I pressed the button everything in the truck went black and it wouldn't start. I couldn't even put on my 4-ways because nothing would work so I had to wave the cars on behind me and lift the hood so cars would go around. It was almost like the battery was unplugged, but when I looked at it it didn't seem to have any connection issues and nothing seemed totally blown in the fuse box... It is currently sitting at the dealership over the long weekend and cant be seen until Tuesday. Has anyone heard of an electrical issue like this or have any ideas what might have caused it? Truck currently has 40k miles so I'm hoping I don't get totally stiffed with it being outside of the 36k mile bumper to bumper. Any information would be helpful.
