  1. Had all four tires balanced today by an actual tire shop this time. A little less vibration but still has the shake. The steering wheel vibration has decreased a bit too. Oh well. At least I had it done for free. Guy said the balance that the dealership had done was horrible.
  2. Hey guys just a thought. Would it be possible to lift the truck up on a lift, all four wheels off the ground, bring the truck up to speed, get underneath the truck and try and see if anything sticks out as the source of vibration?
  3. I will do that next. Thanks. If it was the axle flange, wouldn't I feel the shake all the time? Mine does it at 45mph exactly and between 72-85. Thanks
  4. I had my driveshaft balanced by a professional shop and my truck still vibrates.
  5. I did some heavy hauling/towing recently. My bed had at least 800 pounds in it, and I was hauling a trailer with cargo weighing around 5,000 pounds. My truck still shook. At certain speeds the center console shook like it always does. Many friends always told me that if I loaded the bed it would be fine. Nope. She was fully loaded and still shook.
  6. How would I check that? My dad and I rotated both rear tires while on the truck and they were spinning true. We put a dial gauge on the edge of both tires and had zero readings on the gauge. They were spinning true. I would think if it was the axle flange then my tire wouldn't be spinning true and the dial indicator would show a reading.
  7. I did exactly that. Driveshaft was slightly out of balance. They fixed it and still vibrates.
  8. Pretty much. I'm giving up on this soon. Tired of worrying about it. Soon as I can I'll get a other truck and never look at a GM product again.
  9. How do you remove the lower bumper?
  10. The engineer was perplexed? I call BS. No way that after all these years they still don't know what's causing the problems.
  11. Never said they did.
  12. Yeah if I wasn't taking a gigantic hit, I'd buy a Tundra tomorrow.
  13. It's cool. It'll be the last dime they'll ever take from me. Next truck will be a Toyota or Nissan.
  14. Exactly. How is it that this started with the 2014s and the 2017s are also having the same vibration problems.
  15. Did a 3 hour drive again yesterday. Man it was torture. Steering wheel vibration, drivers seat vibration, crazy center console shake between 70-82mph, gas pedal vibration Everytime the truck goes into V4. What a piece of junk truck.
  16. I'd get another truck if I were you. At this point I couldn't recommend these trucks to anyone. Only got 4K on my truck and its been to the shop 4 times for shaking/vibration issues. Get a Toyota or Titan
  17. Had this done this Saturday. Truck feels smoother but center console still shakes pretty bad.
  18. If I could I would. I took a big hit trading in my 2013 ford edge for this truck. My Edge was having tons of issues. Traded it in for another car with issues. Great luck right ??
  19. Update 2 As some of you know, I have a shake/vibration issues between 70-82mph, where the entire center console shakes pretty bad. I also had vibrations under my driver's seat. I had my truck at a driveline shop yesterday and they confirmed my driveshaft was out of balance. They also said there was minor run-out but not bad enough to where he felt it would create issues. They fixed the balance issues and reinstalled the driveshaft for $70 out the door. Well today I had a lot of time to test the truck. I took her on a 25 mile test drive on open roads. The seat vibration is practically gone, I'd say 98% gone if I had to give it a number. Now the bad news. The center console still shakes pretty bad between 70-82mph, especially on good roads. My guess at this point is the tires. I'll go for visit 4 at the dealership soon. I don't have much hope that they'll actually fix it.
  20. Ok so update time. Took my truck to a driveline shop here in Vegas. Very professional guys. They came and test drove the truck with me and confirmed my vibrations. I left it there for a few hours and I was told that the driveshaft definitely was out of balance. They balanced it and checked for run-out. The tech said it had slight run-out but was within spec. He said it wasn't enough to where he thinks it would cause an issue. The truck does feel smoother now for sure. I only had a small amount of time to test the truck on the highway, which is where I have 90% of my problems. It felt smoother but still had a slight vibration. Next week i will have a lot more time to drive it and see how she does. Don't think my short road test was long enough to confirm anything yet.
  21. That's more than my 3 dealership visits have accomplished. My truck is at a driveline shop as we speak. They're checking the driveshaft. I will report back as soon as I hear back.
  22. That's insane. You should have told him to take out to driveshaft and check it anyways. The driveline shop I'm going to on Saturday told me the same thing but said if I still wanted them to check and balance the driveshaft, he'd change $70 and would have it done by the end of the day. Your mechanic seemed like he didn't want the work. I will report back on what they find on Saturday.
  23. Pretty freaking shady.. your friend is an A-hole. Now some unsuspecting person is going to buy that truck and pay for an LTZ and he's getting a shitty grill.
  24. Yeah no problem. I will definitely keep you guys posted. I am hopeful, since mine is not AS bad as some people here. I'm gonna tackle the steering wheel vibration next. It's minor but drives me nuts.
  25. Crazy! Those are my issues exactly! Vibration between 70-82 and it's worse on smooth roads. I'm taking my truck in to a driveline shop this Saturday. They are a very respectable shop. I'll see what they say. Hopefully it's just a bad driveshaft. Keep me posted on what they tell you. 3 dealerships ive gone to. They were all useless.
