  1. So. tow/haul mode starts in 2nd gear but no other modes on the 1500 Series trucks
  2. Check this video out and read down his comments and he give a review on how it worked for him. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u5hnFhd1tss
  3. Not an answer to the shutter being removed but what most guys are doing with the stillen if they decide to use it is to actually trim approx 1/8 of an inch off the entire length of the opening of the stillen "scoop". This eliminates the rub that causes the scary sounds when interference with the shutters is encountered. However I see your plan is for the cool air to be flowing through the Stillen at all road speeds and temps, I have read that the top row was removed completely with no apparent issues after 40k miles of driving with the Stillen product. The new versions of the intake supposedly have addressed the rubbing issue but I cannot confirm that. Hope this is of some help/value to you.
  4. Common and crappy, wife HATES it, always a cool draft at the feet. Truck looks great and with CAI and Corsa exhaust with Pulsar set on 4 she loves the performance enough to live with it!
  5. Have you guys checked these out yet? https://www.holley.com/products/tuners_and_programmers/handheld_tuners/2019-2022_gm_truck_tuning/ I am thinking about the inTune 3 GM E90/T93 Unlock Kit The engine and trans tunes sound like it could be fun, any thoughts and or input? TIA Gents
  6. AS stated above only on one side as they will wear at the same rate so YES it is how the truck knows the wear on the pads. very difficult to unplug for me anyway.
  7. Camp Chevrolet in Spokane, Wa. Frankly I could give a big review on here but I am a slow typer. Better to do stuff myself I am only 57 and am very thorough with my mechanical endeavors and YES we are moving in 19 months too liberal here and likely getting worse until Joey and his Boy move from Pennsylvania ave
  8. Personally I cannot imagine that a "dealer" would drain tranny fluid and have it scientifically analyzed to see of it is GM approved or not. I would not offer the information that I changed the fluids to anything else if an issue occurred either. Most sevice departments that I have seen have what appear to be dope addicts or recovering dope addicts/ ex cons working there, the true "service technician: is a rare find anymore so I do EVERYTHING myself. Look at this point GM knows these transmissions have issues so I doubt that if something happens that they will blame the consumer. Good luck with whatever way you decide to go.
  9. i always find what I want eventually on Craigslist or marketplace but I am glad you found what you needed!
  10. Roadmaster Active Suspension may help and is a quick and easy install, I used it and am quite happy, I haul a 24" Enclosed car hauler. I do also have a set of Bilstein 5100's back there. Just a thought.
  11. I totally agree if your are happy with how it drives for you by all means enjoy!
  12. 2 differing opinions on n"The most common issue" both rather frightening to me.
  13. I put 22 inch denali wheels on my RST with Z71 package and factory 20" wheels. works perfectly and looks great, I just put the 20" wheels back on for winter as the tires are much more aggressive. Enjoy
  14. Looks GREAT In have more lighting stuff coming as well that I plan on in the next week as well as a "so simple I can use it" 3 channel dash cam! Thanks for watching and your input.
  15. It seemed obvious in the video though that the ranchos were/ are way too soft by how easily they were pushed down by hand, the Bilsteins were a no go and with the weight of the truck being much heavier than pushing down it seems they would not be firm enough for anyone. JMO
  16. My 2017 LTZ seats were great. my 2020 seats hurt my butt and are too firm for me and wifey, both heated leather but 2017 was cooled as well. Wifes 2022 Escalade is very comfy, tried a Denali in 2020 seats were they same as mine.
  17. The AFM delete can be done in your driveway in an afternoon, and the ECM can be sent off to be SURE it is programmed to not activate the AFM again. I have done this myself and quite frankly it was pretty straightforward and easy. I am pretty thorough and if you can follow simple instructions you can do this yourself as well, it is NOT a full delete but rerouting the oil flow and shutting down of the computer program that makes the lifters fail.
  18. Odd that so many wires tested poorly all at once........good place to start though is where you are going already with it. Keep us posted as to how it turns out please.
  19. EXCELLENT thank you very much!
  20. Hey try this as well buddy, again just do it yourself most "mechanics" I have found are buffoons these days a true pro is a rare breed that takes time to do things right.
  21. Any info on where you did the wiring taps etc? Thanks in advance.
  22. It will be loud as hell, and I have no answer to that but who is/ how are you going to get it tuned?
  23. The Harness was like $80 bucks for me, I LOVE how mine looks and the reverse lights are ludicrous with the LED bulbs I put in the factory reverse bulb locations as well. Hopefully you get this worked out I agree PUTCO is f'ing up email them and tell them you are on this HUGE forum and their Repuation is at risk if they don't help you out.
  24. Brother, drop the $80 bucks and enjoy the product I did the video referenced above and this guy did the freedom blade as well. Check it out and sorry you have a bad experience with it thus far, forget the so called mechanics or "installers" you don't need them.
