  1. Were you driving in 4wd auto? If so that would indicate why your front diffs kept blowing up on you. These trucks have 12 bolt ifs front diffs from aam that are one of the best front ends you can get, period, but if you are driving in 4wd auto and the front tires go from spinning to hooking up, youll easily destroy that front diff, especially at freeway speeds. Other than that, they are disengaged if driving in 2wd so no way they could randomly blow up in 2wd unless physics are being defied here?
  2. Interesting that 35's rubbed for you. Im on stock height and 35's fit with only minor trimming of the front wheel well liner needed at full lock, no level kit. +18mm offset on my wheels. 12.5 wides and no level kit either. I feel like 37's would fit with some bumper mods/trimming with how much extra space these wheel wells have. Maybe your wheels are giving you trouble? Stock wheels would not work at all with this tire size.
  3. How do you like the toyo at3's?
  4. What was this regarding? 6.6 engines dont have afm/dfm but i saw the 6.2 engines had a bulletin for faulty afm/dfm lifters.
  5. Im hoping i hear something by today as we are going into the weekend and they are closed on weekends. This is annoying and BS. Truck doesnt even have 3k miles!!! And already without it.
  6. Heard nothing from the dealer so far. Dont know whats taking them so long honestly. But it is annoying.
  7. Chevy's accessory website tells me part # 84991144 but when i put it in part sites it tells me it does not fit 2023 trucks. What is the correct part # if anyone has it? Thank you
  8. Dealer has truck. Will update this thread when i hear back.
  9. Lmao hopefully he didnt put in 15w40 oil too!
  10. Nah mines more comparable to lifter noise or a rod bearing preparing to spin itself or a bent rod tapping the heads hard to describe but it isn't normal.
  11. Would be nice to have a correctly functioning gauge. Makes me wonder if it will even tell you correctly if the engines overheating or not since it sounds like its a dummy gauge.
  12. Thats good to know! So the gauge works correctly but real life temps are ~190 or so?
  13. Great trans temp on the chevy. Anyone else notice how the temp gauge for the engine doesnt look like it was getting to 210 degrees? Wonder if its not supposed to and if my trucks been overheating from other problems.
  14. Confirmed engine is misfiring, maybe on two cylinders, continuous misfires not intermittent. All three cats glow purple/red hot after short distance drives like 10 min drives maybe and just from idling. Very audible and loud ticking noises from the engine. Trucks not even fully broken in yet. Oil reeks in pure gasoline smell on the dipstick. No check engine light but you can feel it misfire sitting in the truck and you can hear the engine stumble and can see the rpm's stumble. Didnt do this before until after my first oil change which the dealer themselves did. Edit: dealer overfilled it so much that it was an inch and a half maybe two inches past full and was up to the wire part on the dipstick. I have pics of all this to show the dealer. Just doesnt seem good at all.
  15. True. I was thinking more of the guys that do extreme off road and would want to put big 44's or bigger on the trucks though too.
  16. My thoughts would be because of how they come with 14 bolt 11.5" rear ends and 12 bolt ifs front ends stock vs the half tons and smaller come with weaker diffs and axles for offroad. Easier to have it set up stock with beefier components than to be wrenching and swapping stuff.
  17. Double cab long bed? Best way to get the truck in my opinion. But yes parking does suck, parking spots are made for tiny toyotas and hondas it feels like.
  18. Thank you! I appreciate it.
  19. Interesting. Dealers are a little over an hour away and they are iffy, techs are a bit dumb and i dont trust them but ill see what I can do. This is my second issue with a new GM truck engine related within a year.
  20. Hmm. Yours is 100% silent in the drivetrain? Its not any knocking noise or anything and the stumbles feel like your typical rpm stumble when the ac compressor kicks on or off for example. But it is an audible and noticeable noise. I only notice it with the door open. I hear no noise inside the cab. It only happens when the engine is hot, too. So i dont know if this is normal or not still. Maybe its in correlation to when the dealer overfilled my oil and that caused damage?
  21. I wonder if something is up with mine. When letting it warm up, its noisy. And after driving for a while, i can rev it to 1700 rpm and theres a very loud noise coming from the engine that doesnt sound normal. Not even 3k miles yet. Its pretty damn noisy and does seem to skip and dip in rpms causing an intermittent shake of the whole truck.
  22. As in do they all just tick a lot out the gate and make a ton of ticking noises as rpm's increase? Or are the majority of them out there pretty quiet when listening to the engine by the engine bay? I know of the typical lifter tick but curious how much noise is normal for these new engines.
  23. The hiss noise you hear is the power steering system. Its a hydraulic system and the noises are perfectly normal. You hear a howl noise at idle with no movement on the steering wheel. Noise changes when moving the steering wheel. Totally normal. 6.6 gas comes with hydraulic power steering and hydraulic brakes.
