    We did this on the 04, then sprayed Krown rust prevrnter in until it poured out. Never had an issue with rust, plan on doing the same with the 11.

    The gasket is a metal lined rubber gasket that is reuseable. I am gonna pick one up though, it my only vehicle. Better safe than sorry.

    Thank you. So spray the inside of the diff, wipe inside and good to go? Chlorinated or non? Does it matter? Swapping out front to Amsoil too. Thanks again.

    Is getting the rear cover gasket from the dealer the best option? To clean the G80, brake cleaner? No silicone, right?

    Does the Amsoil PSF meet or exceed the Cold Climate fluid that GM sells?

    I agree 100%! The only things I miss about my 04 was the auto dim mirrors, right mirror and led down when in reverse, and the rear window defrost. The seats are more comfortable, and I like that they are narrower too. I am glad the gmt900 does not have factory fender flares, they were a salt magnet.

    I agree on the rear blind spot, hope a back up cmaera is an option? What happened to the twin turbocharged 3.6? it was rumoured to compete with the Ecoboost from Ford.

    Just bought a 2011 4.8 - no oil use with 1,500 km/938 miles on what ever the dealer puts in. Going 5W30 Petro Can full syn next change.

    Sorry to hear, but did you ever undercoat it? We Krown (rust control) our 2004 every year, after a thorough bath in the spring. All cross members were dripping with oil after the Krown was sprayed. Traded the 04 off last week, frame was solid. My 2011 will be getting the same treatment.
