  1. ( for those of you that love to trollllll, and argue about anything. ) This post isnt about arguing, just sharing what i have first hand information on the/my problem so far. I dont even have the recall. Yet, or maybe i wont get it. But i do seem to have the check connection message on this 5ver, the only thing i have towed so far. My simple pig, has towed 3 times, but will be heading south from the very north of MN in 1.5ish months. The first tow picking up this new to me 5ver, the camper was in storage in the sellers pole barn, not plugged in. I towed about 65 miles, no problem without the dash giving any warning. Second tow, after the camper being plugged in. As i am retired and full time rv it till i get sick of travel. The camper was plugged in for months. I took it for a 120 mile trip, the dash lit up with the warning almost right away, and intermittent till tow was done. 3rd tow about 160 mile trip, dash lit up right away, same intermittent. I had cleaned connections and did a little dielectric grease before connecting. As well as tightened up the connections on the plug, that seemed a little sloppy. I installed the diode on the camper side in the pin box. If it works, ill post back and say so on my 1,600 mile trip south. If not, ill post back and say so. A friend has a gmc 3500 gasser, also a 2024, tows another brand 5ver 1 battery in camper, i had 2 at the time of tow, now 3. No solar on either camper. He tows often and has not had the dash light up, also keeps the camper plugged in at home. He did get a recall and did get, said recall done. Still no problem.
  2. Thats great. You 2 stick with your term delta. My lineman term ill stick with, that is a delta primary or secondary connection, AC. Phase to phase connection/s. Not to be confused with a Y connection/s, phase to ground, also used in primary and secondary AC. Both have a different voltage/number.
  3. Im not sure what the larger delta is on DC. I went to school for my electric lineman career, but delta is a connection, in my job.
  4. A quick search shows the roadmaster 690 diode lets up to 85 amps flow, so charging the rv batteries shouldnt be a problem from the tow vehicle installing it. If,,, that is a problem, lots of other one way diodes rated for bigger loads for things like solar installation are also an option.
  5. In the blurry pic is a little orange light by the speedo diel. Its either for the side warning something is there off, and or the front collision off. Both are off. Dont take it personal as i dont want to scroll through the screens to list what i do have or dont have and have shut off, some can/were wile driving some needed to be parked, odds are not running. I love and wanted the regular cab WT with just what i needed. I didnt want a diesel again, and i read up on the new cheby 24's with the 6.6 gasser and 10 speed trans and went that route, and am very happy and totally trouble free so far at over 16,000 miles.
  6. WOW, now 2 people want to be spoon fed.
  7. I am not going to or need to list what ( everything ) is. A simple search with the information under my user information and you can get the answer to your question.
  8. All/everything i could/anything i could. Added things i cant shut off but would, would be the auto locking door locks, auto headlights coming on each start, i just shut them off each start. I cant shut off the backup camera or i would. The seatbelt chime i would shut off if i could, but cant.
  9. First well known i have heard of. I have over 15,000 miles on my 2024 3500 gasser and not a bit of a problem on anything. But then again, first thing i did when i got in it and headed home, was to shut all the safety stuff off, and its never been turned back on.
  10. I have a 2024 3500 WT, gasser,,, but deactivated all the things i dont, wont/use/like, on the way home. One was the collision stuff. Scrolling through the screen on the little info for trip A B and such, is collision and it says seconds, thats all i know. Its off and will stay that way... I could be wrong..................................... But, seems to be a just joined post and dump, complain and never to return. But it still seems to be a hot topic with no one i can see that actually has a WT...........
  11. What i found interesting a month ago when i specked out my 2024 6.6 gasser 3500 regular cab 4x4 WT SRW, to a DRW. To maybe go the fulltime truck camper life, instead of the currant comfy 5ver life. Of course the dually has way more payload, and ball hitch towing is 2,000lbs more, as well as the/a 5ver hitch lbs. But,,,,,,,,,, the towing part was 300lbs less than the srw on the 5ver/goose part.
  12. Your not referring to ,, this,, manual are you? I got one in my 2024 WT 3500. In the glove box.
  13. A rear slider window for my 2024 regular cab like i had in my past ram. How to install or activate the E85 option, that i dont have on my L8T WT pickup.
  14. Interesting... That looks just like when a rear tag axel on a truck or trailer that is lifted hits, some dont go very high, and on a slight incline, like there, there is 2 as it inclines, then levels out, then inclines again and both spots seem to be the same.
  15. Im not hear to give the wrong impression, hear, i just dont like wrong information. I am NOT perfect, but i do know the ins and outs of a simple pig like i got, i did a lot of research and it fit the bill perfectly.
  16. I hate to have to add this and waist my time... Go to the ( online manual ) unless you can get ahold of a paper one like i have, i have both online and paper, as i have proven. That being said. Go to chevrolet,,,, NOT GMC, and look at the HD manual for 2024 2500s and 3500s gassers. Page 267, gives the information on E85 if the vehicle is equiped for it and how to tell. That is the 6.6 chegy gasser..........
  17. If you go to build and price build a 2024 3500 gasser, you ( will ) find that on a WT and only a wt pickup is the option to order E85. I went to order one but the build time for a 2 door was unknown, so i found close to what i wanted on a lot, that wasnt ordered with the E85. And,,,, the manual i posted sais cheby, NOT GMC like the one you posted. I dont know where you are getting your information, but it seems totally wrong for a 2024 3500 6.6 gasser cheby WT.
  18. Yep that other manual looks different, as well as the wording on the cover. Maybe the thinking is for the WT for fleet owners as more than just one person might be operating the thing and its helpful to have a paper manual in the glovebox. For some reason the WT seems to be treated different, as it was the only model able to be ordered with the E85 package. ( that wasnt able to be ordered ) because not available????? They say.
  19. I have the online one downloaded for quick reference so i dont have to go out and dig out my paper one, if i want to reference something wile inside.... Do you have a paper one? i am not going word for word online and paper, but it seems to be just the same. It would be great if you could find and point out what is missing.
  20. Thats why its better to buy a 2024 3500 gasser, WT regular cab 4x4. Its less than $55,000 and ( comes ) with a printed 2024 manual. Mine was in the glove box along with the silly supplemental thingy. So, they have one, print one and give it out... Carry on..........................................
  21. A big NOPE, ill stick with my nice small simple WT screen.
  22. Its terrible. I did research on what i could find on what i might expect on all the aspects of my 2024 3500 regular cab gasser WT 4x4. Before i got it. I set my sights on being happy if i got a solid 15mpg tank to tank. I get more 1-1.5mpg more, i can live with that. Not a single problem with it yet in its almost 12,000 miles, I still havent gotten the tailgate recall, and wont go if i get it, as i sealed it myself. Not a drop of noticeable oil usage per oil changes, and i just did the 2nd change. The darn thing is just so smooth, motor and transmission. 3.5 more months and i can comment on heading south for the winter pulling a simple 10,000lbs 5ver that is tall with the added front ac unit for even more drag.
  23. I just changed oil at 11,200 miles a few days ago, still using the reusable filter, still no strange noises and the motor hasnt crapped out yet.
  24. 11,500ish miles on my 2024 3500 gasser and has always and still does shift perfect.
  25. 2024 3500 regular cab 4x4 6.6 gasser. My absolute worst was when it was new with maybe 1,000 miles on it on a trip, on a 80mph interstate, going 82mph, with a almost dead headwind enough that the wind turbines were making good electric power. So that tank got about 12mpg, hand calculated, winter so the temps were around 15f. Also, that was 10% ethanol fuel 87. No choice up north hear. Best tank to tank so far, with the same type fuel is 16.5mpg, Thats rural roads, calm one day, windy the next, hand calculated. The dash is very close to hand calculated. 11,200 miles on it today, bought 1/23/23. A person has to come to reality, that the L8T 6.6 gasser is made to work, and like it, alllll day long, every day, for those that dont want or need a diesel but need more than a half ton. Then be a car, that isnt the best on fuel economy, but fun to drive. I am retired and full time rv it, its my home. I took last winter off, but am back at it with a new to me 5ver and my new cheby. I am coming from a 2500 diesel after 8 years of that. The simplicity of the gasser is refreshing, with its simplicity. All winter hear, way up north in MN, diesel was a solid $1.35 more a gallon, and now its .50-.60 cents more a gallon. So the cost tank to tank is a wash or better, for me and my driving needs and area. I have only towed my 10,000lbs 5ver for 70 miles so far, as it will sit till fall then head south. If i get 6mpg worst ill be happy, if i get 8 mpg or more, that will be a treat. my 5ver is tall with the front added AC unit, so lots of air to catch.
