  1. So today horn seems fine. I popped the hood and placed my hand on both sections of the horn while hitting the panic button on the fob and it seems both sections are generating noise.
  2. Mine is still under a little warranty, so I will visit the dealer about this. Anyone have any thoughts as to what causes this?
  3. I noticed this on my 2016 tonight. Press lock twice and the horn sounds really muted or like it's going out
  4. It's right above the BCM module located under the kick panel.
  5. Now that's a tight fit in the garage
  6. Got my heated wheel installed yesterday, thanks to the video tutorial on here and a big thanks to @pgamboa who helped with some technical questions and made me a wiring harness. I have a 2016 LTZ that had the factory heated wheel plug under the dash (steering column) but it was not live. pgamboa made me a harness to connect from the X51L block to the X203 block that worked perfectly. Now that it is installed, it's great having a warm wheel on these cold Nebraska mornings. I will say, I do actually prefer the texture of the non-heated leather wheel vs. the texture of the heated one, but am glad to have the heat. I do now have a non-heated leather wheel and the accompanying clock spring for sale if anyone is looking ;)
  7. I haven't looked yet, but I assume that X203 block disconnects (unplugs) before you try to push that wire into an empty terminal location?
  8. Will this video help? (Start at about 6:15 mark)
  9. Thank you. On both locations, I assume that connectors can only be inserted one way?
  10. So on the X51L the blue face of that block slides down a bit to allow insertion, correct? How is a terminal inserted into the X203?
  11. This is awesome news!
  12. To change the trim on the wheel probably requires a whole new steering wheel.
  13. I usually order from GMPartsDirect.com and have never had to enter a VIN. I ordered these steering components from CheapestGMParts.com, and VIN was optional, so I entered it, and the sales department just wanted to verify that I wanted these parts since they don't "match" my VIN. I confirmed I wanted what I originally ordered and they have now processed it. Makes sense on the volume vs. price thing with the clock springs.
  14. Quick question on parts: I placed an order last night for a heated steering wheel (part #84222909) and associated clock spring (23381964) on cheapestgmparts.com (first time ever using that site). Got an email response back today informing me those parts are not correct for my VIN # (I assume my VIN shows that I don't currently have heated steering). Those are the parts I want though, correct, and they will work? The website is suggesting part #'s 23278606 / 23381963, which are the components with no heat (which I assume is what I currently have in the truck). On a side note, why is the clock spring with heat ($48.81) so much cheaper than the clock spring without it ($100.02)? Thanks
  15. Awesome. Let me know details and I will get you some $$$
  16. @pgamboa were you ever able to work on building some harnesses? Got down to below zero again here.....I'm ready for some heat on my fingertips
  17. Thanks. Truck only has 16,000 mi on it and was pretty clean to start with, but I did run some CRC GDI cleaner through it before my can install.
  18. Got my Elite E2-X catch can installed today. Used braided black hose and ordered some OEM PCV tubes that I took the ends off of to put the OEM clip ends on the braided hose. @Elite Engineering
  19. Thank you. So if I come across any of those part numbers for 2016 Silverado/Tahoe/Suburban, they should work (pending confirmation with Chris)?
  20. Can someone tell me how to interpret these part numbers? For 2016 specifically? There is a part # that begins with a 2, and that drills down to another "2" part number to finally a part number that begins with an "8". Is each number a different cluster model? How would I know which one to go after?
