  5. It seems as though he wants only a level not a full lift. In being smart, he asked this community to help him with advice before he just jumped in feet first....plenty of us have just levels....even has a pined thread. Don't be so hard on someone asking for help.
  6. Correct math that x" spacer does not = x" lift. Many people just don't understand how lifts and drops work. I have done several of each on GM 1500's from 1988 to 2014. This is a 1.5" kit and I did not install all 3 spacers (left 1 bottom one out)....so it is under 1.5". I meant the lift I did was 1/2 lift amount on top and 1/2 lift amount on bottom. It is probably a hair over 1" total lift amount. I know mine is a 14 and doesn't come with magna ride. I was putting my info down as this kit may work without the sensor relocators due to the lower lift amount and that it is split between the top and bottom of the strut. Unsure if anyone has tried to do this lift instead of a bottom only 2.5". For such a cheap kit....would it be an option? Sorry for any confusion and good luck.
  7. Mine is a 14 and still has a small rake. I like the look better and I can tow my camper with no "high front". If I get a lighter camper I can add in the second bottom spacer. Each spacer gives 1/2" lift. http://www.topguncustomz.com/p-6392-tgc-15-07-14-gmcadillac-1500-pickup1500-suv-front-leveling-lift-spacers.aspx#.VMpcAsnnbqB
  8. I did a 1" (1/2 top and 1/2 bottom spacers) and it rides as oem and tows my camper level. Also way easier to install as all I had to do was loosen sway bar nuts and remove coils to add spacers so took less than an hour for both sides. Still need alignment. 2.5 is way too much as it looks like the front is higher and if all the spacing is on one side of the coils (especially that much), be looking to replace ball joints soon. I do think my 14 z71cc sits a little higher than my 14 4x4cc.
  9. The GM nickel plated ones were like $400 for previous models..and they to eventually wore out. Try filling 2wd splines with Lucas red and tacky #2 or really good marine grease. on 4wd you can't use grease but supposed to use atf. ..which won't do anything. the only fix I know for a 4wd is a slip yoke eliminator or a stainless yolk (I don't know where to buy it though). Mine only clunks at low rpm at low speeds...not from dead stop so unsure if it is the old slip yoke issue or TM...but could be one or a combination of both.

  11. Sounds like removing 50% of the TM via a tune corrects it.
  12. Interesting TM comment... when I had the 3.08 I joked because when pulling out in front of traffic (usually to make a quick turn into somewhere), it had a "rev up delay then go" like a "buildup"... it was like not letting go of the clutch in time in a manual....or the little train that could...3.42 still clunks but no delay. ...I'm goin....i'm goin...i'm goin.......and here I go.
  13. Those look great!
  14. When the 6-speeds came out this was an issue and even though the 2014+ 6-speeds shift better, still has some issues and as far as I know GM did not do much to address it on the 900 series so I doubt they will address on the newer trucks (6 or 8 speed) either...there are no options for them to do other than GM issuing an updated tune(doubtful). Most dealer techs are just "Part Changers" or have their hands tied so the best source is a forum like this. You can also ask to speak to their GM rep which may help. I agree that the clunk is annoying at least but unless you get a tune....or another brand truck with its own different set if issues...you may be stuck with it. The clunk didn't seem to affect any long term reliability on the older trucks so I am not too worried about it. and the 8-speeds are even stronger than the 6-speeds. I still rather the smoothness of my 4-speed but the more gears the better MPG and towing stats so those days are gone. I am sure I will get some crap for this post but.....it is what it is.......
  15. Both 2014 I have did this. Current one still does. Low speed down shifts and after letting go of throttle then applying...especially on an angle up or down hill...clunk. I think it is the 6 speed Trans and have heard that a good tune will fix it. But until the warranty runs out I am not touching anything.
  16. As an update I love mine. Perfect for going camping with bikes and stuff in the bed where a non fold or tri-fold would not work. And no drain tubes or flapping.
  17. Are their any visual differences we could look for? Some of you guys with post some pics and if you have max tow and 6.2 or 5.3???? But according to the response... all 6.2 and only the 5.3 with max tow.
  18. I added cruise to my 07 NBA by doing just that. I had to show that all the parts were purchased from gm and that gm installed them and then the dealer tech had to call GM tech line to get info how to reflash vin with the cruise added in....and now it is permanently added in my vin info at GM. Thus may help. I actually did the instructions in the NBS thread which may still be pinned there. ..but for something like mag shocks...seems like buying an already equipped truck may be cheaper.
  19. How would the best/smoothest aftermarket shocks compare for ride quality and price? What ones are the best?
  20. Would the addition of this rear sway bar hurt any aspect of the ride quality (basically will the ride be more stiff). I may add one to help with towing the camper and just wanted some 1st hand experiences. Thanks
