1. @WeGone - Did you ever figure this out? Mine is leaking from the rear dome light and have a feeling it's the sunroof drain tube. Any luck finding the drains, I just scoured mine and seems like they're impossible to get to. Thanks!
2. Well done! Definitely beats going to the dealer and have them destroy your truck. Mind posting the link for the marine seal? My window has been fixed by the dealer not leaking 8 mos later which is great, but be nice to add a preventative measure. Also looks a lot better than that gap in between the window and spoiler.
3. I wound up pulling my 2 deg pinion shims that came from the factory and my issue is completely gone. My truck was at the dealer for a week them thinking it was a trans issue and then came back with "operating as designed". I ordered a digital angle finder from amazon and got to work. My operating angle was way off - no idea why my truck had shims from the factory and in the wrong direction mind you. It was quite a hassle to get them out but once I did I couldn't be happier. Measured angles afterward and everything is in spec now. Unreal GM, Unreal.

5. Yeah I don’t think they were damaged in shipping. 4/4 wheels are damaged. Each box was packed a little differently and it looks like someone sent this set back in after doing a poor job mounting tires and it wasn’t properly vetted at the warehouse. I contacted the dealer I bought them through. Waiting to hear back this morning. The lip on this one is even bent. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
6. Random question: For those of you guys who got the OE Creations wheels, do you happen to have any of the boxes still? If so can you send me a pic? Do you recall if it said OE Creations on it?mafd2 I pulled the trigger on some and they arrived today and the boxes aren’t labeled. Wheels look right but box only has a model number and no branding - on top of that the FedEx tracking shows they were shipped from Performance Replicas Inc (which could make the wheels for OE, no idea) If you did get them where did you order from? On top of that, every wheel was damaged - looks like someone returned a set after attempting to mount tires and then they got sent to me [emoji2359] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
7. Yeah they’re all black. Would be nice if they would do the grey headliner like in the other trims with black leather. To me if you don’t have a sunroof it makes it feel a bit clostrophibic with everything being dark. That being said, the one plus is it won’t show stains! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
8. Where are you located? Guessing Ohio based on your username? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
9. My current truck is the first one I’ve had a sunroof in. I haven’t used it a ton yet but plan to once it cools off. Something I like about it is even when it’s not open, I slide the shade back to let more light in. It feels a lot more spacious like another comment mentioned and is really nice to have with the color of my interior. The Dark Walnut interior has a dark brown headliner which without the sunroof feels a bit clostrophobic. The AT4 interior also has a charcoal headliner - drove one of those without the sunroof and it was just so dark. Not sure what truck you’re looking at but most of the black interiors other than the AT4 have grey headliners which is nice to make it feel light and airy which is what my last 2 trucks had. Something else that is nice about the GM sunroofs is that they’re pretty simple and tried and true. Manual shade and one panel of glass (would I love to have a pano sunroof - sure) but can’t imagine the whole roof being glass and with the shade Motors to roll it back there is just too much to go wrong. Just something to think about - don’t think it should be a dealbreaker either way. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
10. I paid $45k for my truck back in Nov of 2019 and got offered $48,700 today through Carvana. I’m torn whether to get something else or just keep mine. Like it was said earlier, it’s all relative. We’re getting more for ours but the dealers aren’t discounting theirs as much. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
11. Appreciate the tip! Yeah one of mine I had to unscrew and it got bound up halfway through the leaf pack. That’s when I decided to just spin them and try it to see if it even took care of the problem and it did, hallelujah. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
12. Yeah, putting spring clamps on I had laying around. Probably pulling the springs just slightly out of whack so the springs aren’t perfectly aligned huh? I’m guessing I should ease up on the tension of them I’m guessing until I get the pin out? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
13. Got it, thank you. Huge help! Wanting to remove the center pin so I can remove the 2deg shim completely. Without the shim the angles will be exactly where they need to be. Not sure why they were included on my truck to begin with.
14. Haha don't doubt it! Question for you - I wound up rotating the shim, took care of the problem but after measuring the rear working angle is a little too much. The sweet spot would be with no shims. 1) Do you have any tips to get the centering pin all the way out? Mine got stuck half way through the leaf pack which is why I just rotated it instead of taking it out completely. And 2) Do I need to replace the u-bolts? I have heard they are a one-time use part (I've had them off twice now). Appreciate your feedback!
15. Yep, wound up doing that this weekend and problem is completely gone. Amazing a backyard mechanic can figure it out but leaving it at the dealer for a week they had no idea what was causing it.
16. Mine is fixed!!! For anyone who is still following this. Mine was the pinion shims that came from the factory. Measured my driveline angles and the working angle from the rear end to the drive shaft was 4* difference. Shouldn’t be any greater than 1*. I Spun the shims around and it’s completely gone. Can’t believe the dealer couldn’t figure something this simple out. Guess if you want it done right you have to do it yourself. Not sure why the 2019’s came with shims from the factory when they weren’t needed. Seems the 2020’s don’t have shims and this problem is gone on them. Check your angles, I bet this is your problem! 17. That seems like a pretty good deal to me. I’m going to do some shopping on getting all those pieces done and then I can just swap the grille out to the black one. Wondering how long a good vinyl job lasts these days. Or I guess a lot of shops probably have a guarentee of some kind. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
18. Katzskin has a heated and cooled seat option now. From what I hear they work really well and the fans are built into the seat module so no reprogramming just need a power source. https://katzkin.com/degreez/
19. I think you are onto something with the ARC. You have to keep in mind that your new tire/wheel setup is probably close to 25lbs more of unsprung weight per corner due to the LT tires so they computer is having a hard time keeping up with that amount of rolling mass and constantly trying to adjust. Nitto does make the Ridge Grappler in a P Metric XL 4 ply 305/55/20 which is about 18lbs lighter than your current tire. Only about .6" shorter too. Might be worth swapping to those - your ride quality should vastly improve.
20. Those look great! Where did you get the paint? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
21. Couldn’t agree more with all of this. I wanted an AT4 but got a smokin deal on my Denali. I much prefer the ride of the Denali so that’s good and I could get the walnut interior and some of the features I wanted like the digital dash without having to upgrade to the “technology package” like you do in the AT4. Soon I’ll level mine and color match everything. Has anyone gotten any quotes on color matching (or blacking out) the grille, door handles, vents and trim yet? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
22. I drove a brand new trail boss this morning that arrived at the dealer yesterday and was built earlier this month. It had an E9 window which was known to be a leaker. I can’t believe they’re still putting them in brand new trucks. My 2019 Denali had the E9 window replaced with the E4 which has the updated frame and hasn’t leaked since. Crazy they haven’t sorted it out yet. Guess they’re just trying to use the leftover windows until they run out. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
23. I checked my stock truck prior to posting this topic and mine is off. The rear end already has shims and they need to come out to put it in spec. Trans - 5.45* Shaft - 5.2* Rear end - 1.56* Currently has 2* shims with the fat end towards the front of the truck. Taking them out would move it to 3.56 degrees and the operating angle would be back in spec. I took the passenger shim out this weekend and got to the driver side and my denali has the magnaride bracket in the way so I put the pass shim back in until I can figure out the best way to tackle the driver side. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
24. Has anyone spun the shims on a Denali? I got mine apart this morning, did the pass side and then got to the driver side and there’s this fun bracket for the magnaride. Pretty much makes it impossible to spin the shim without pulling the centering pin out. I might try and tackle it again tomorrow but dropping the axel low enough below the leaf pack to pull the centering bolt out makes me a little nervous to say the least. 25. Yeah, I think these trucks are super sensitve to driveline angle. I took mine to the dealer back in January and they had it for a week and couldn't figure it out. That being said, they didn't even mess with the shims or driveline angle, they are not very competent to say the least. All they did was tests on the transmission and reported back to GM and GM deemed it "operating as normal". They said they drove a few trucks on their lot and a few did it worse than mine and a few were better. I wouldn't want to feel the trucks that were worse than mine because mine is VERY noticeable. I think they put shims in all of the 2019's because they didn't know what they were doing. The fact my rear diff is 4 degrees off from the factory is pretty alarming. I had the rear window leak on my truck and had two 2020 loaners, same config as my truck, 8 speed trans and neither one of them had the shims and they didn't have the rumble on decel. I think that's the culprit on mine, just need to get some time to remove or spin the shims. By my calculations, removing it is better than spinning it to correct my angles.
