    Have all the problems in this thread. Picking up my truck tomorrow after the 5th attempt to repair. Will post repair details and updates. Anyone else have a permanent fix?

    Yes I’ve had 4 previous updates and have all the latest as gm comes out with it. They have no fix I'm told until gm gives direction. Ive never lost my brakes just my power steering and having parking brake apply while at stop lights. Also service esc.

    Received the new recall today. Did absolutely nothing. Dash flashing like a Christmas tree before even leaving the parking lot.

    Im starting to think the truck may actually be programmed to run rich for initial break in. Truck hit 5000km recently and mileage has started improving. Right when it hit 5000 i noticed the change so not sure if there is any science to this.

    Yes, Any exhaust shop will be able to fit just the muffler. Cut out the flappers and weld in the new muffler, they will have to fab a little extra pipe due to shorter muffler. These trucks come with larger diameter pipe which is free flowing unlike from years past where more benefits were had from full cat back system. The restriction is in the muffler and flapper valves and is where the gains will be had.

    Actaully the OP is correct, Mine do the exact same, Sound like shi*t . To much low frequency trying to come through the door speakers causing a vibrating sound from them. Bose sends to low of frequency to the door speakers. Call it mid or bass either way the speakers can not effectively play the low frequency they are being sent.

    It’s been tested through and through, showed no loss what so ever. Do a search was a very detailed thread about it. conclusion is your wasting your money.

    I’ve owned 2009 6.2 which I replaced with a 2014 5.3... never again, honestly horrible power and towing. I tow max weights. Now have 2016 6.2 8 speed Yukon denali and 2019 6.2 max tow Sierra. Will never drive a 5.3 again. Also the 6.2 mpg was better than the 2014 5.3 6 speed. Best $2-3k option you’ll ever spend. As far as reliability, never touched the 5.3 in 125,000km. 2016 6.2 had collapsed lifters which ruined the cam at 25,000km. However fixed in 3 days all on warranty and good as new. Like it never happened. Bad luck? Could it happen to the 5.3? I don’t know.

    Just swap the muffler. Waste of money getting a cat-back in my opinion. Cut out the flappers and replace muffler. It already has 3.5" pipe split to duals. Catback is just basically replacing good pipe.

    Mic drop!!! There you have it folks. I had the same opinion hating on the turbo but after checking the numbers they are very respectable. Torque will also be made down low, bet it pulls within its capacity better than the 5.3.

    oh wow, i didnt realize it was rated that well. Guess it is a strong little motor. More power than earlier 5.3's. I assumed 200 hp and 250ft.

    Wouldn't the costs of those mods be about the same as upgrade to 5.3? Just don't understand, leave it stock or buy the 5.3. Your wasting your time.

    With the k2's people were saving tenths shifting from 4x4 back to 2wd after launch also. Read the new ford limited and raptors run 5.2 0-60. 450hp/510ftlbs

    Awesome information. Anyone have any rule of thumb for losing 2 tenths with a 5500lbs truck to hp comparisons. Ex. 15 whp result in 1 tenth. Either way awesome gains

    FYI for 6.2 owners: clamped open both my flappers valves and noticed zero difference in sound. Seems to do nothing on the 6.2

    First Day, 6.2 SLT max tow. Since, De-badge 4x4, + rear SLT. Added 22" OEM denali wheels. Black vinyl on front/ rear gmc. Running boards Box liner.

    Interested to see someone dyno the 6.2 with dfm and locked down computer. The engine they tested with would be the old tech 5.3 with afm which is still available in 2019 in some trims. Many are saying we won't see the gains with the new engine. Very interested to see someone dyno one to confirm before I purchase.

    My experience is with the 06-13 trucks. Mine were all in that year. dependable but not great on fuel lol.

    I’m sure that’s in perfect conditions. Reality is the 6.0 gets bad mileage. I’ve had 7 of them up to 2014. Might squeeze 14 on highway but usually 12 average

    That considerably better than a 6.0. All my work 6.0 get 12mpg unloaded
