Just throwing it out there, but probably whenever the GMT800 model was phased out. We had retooled & were building GMT900s when our plant closure was announced in 2008.

Finally got around to installing the roof marker lights Talking to a friend that had to put lights on her new Dodge, because the dealer messed up the order. She was saying, 3/4 tons should come w/ them standard LOL

The cab lights stay on for about a minute after shutting off the motor

Their site went live to Canada in August. I ordered a set & finally installed them today. Using the dimensions from my brother who has another 2024 2500HD w/ the UO1 option, I made up a template for the center lights:

I remember us building them, but there wasn't much fanfare about them. I don't think there was any badging to denote the displacement.

Doing a search for a hundred mile radius, the other brands that show up are Costco & Inver. I only know of 1 of the latter locations.

Also, according to Google, Petro Canada, Shell and Co-op Fuels are Top Tier. I occasionally fuel up @ the 1st 2 brands & dont recall ever see any Top Tier decals on the pumps.

They replied yesterday and the locations were removed.

I contacted Top Tier via their website to tell them that the Mr Gas brand disappeared and is now owned by an Esso retailer.

I know my brother used to use the Stanadyne additive. Not sure if he still does or not. He's had D'maxes in the GMT800, K2XX models & is on his 2nd T1XX truck.

Im not sure how accurate that site is That station switched to Esso (Exxon in Canada) a couple of years ago.

I had LEDs for both the hi & low beams on my 2017 Silverado HD. I had no issues about getting flashed, but driving during a snowfall (I live in (Ontario Canada) was terrible. W/ the low beams it was like driving w/ halogen or old school high beams on. So when I do the upgrade on my '24, I'll just do the high beams.

Well like someone said earlier, going to a oil viscosity in a truck just to get .01 mpg rules the day you get this. These vehicles aren't Malibus or Civics...

Im not sure if any of the braintrust realised that some people would be disappointed when the base V8 was reduced to a 5.3, probably not born when 327s were common. Likely never heard of 'bigger is better' either. Only thing I can think of is to differentiate it from the 6.0 L which were never offered in the half tons.

Not specifically to topic but on Mon' I saw a fairly new Denali HD, white w/ the 'greenhouse' painted black. The A,B & C pillars plus the roof were painted. No company graphics on it, so I dont know what to make of it. Back in the day only the C (B pillars on regular cabs) pillar got the secondary colour. The painted hood must've been a change (or different option) as I dont recall my father's '75 regular cabs that was 2 tone as well having it. This was his '79 crew cab.

I refer to the tan as 'Desert Storm Tan' As long as GM doesn't copy Plum Crazy and/or the bright green that have been Mopar colours since the muscle car era & now seen on Jeeps... I see some Toyota pickups that are a green that looks similar to OD green. I think Ive seen a couple of Cypress Green trucks in recent weeks.

One of the 2024s the salesman found last year was the metallic grey/silver (it ended up being unavailable). Yes it did look nicer than the usual 'pewter metallic'. Probably my familiarity w/ the elpo colour may have something to do w/ my distaste for it. The general public see it as a new colour. PS: My grandfather's '66 Pontiac Laurentian was a similar colour as the Trailblazer.

What is w/ the OEMs falling all over themselves to offer 'Elpo Grey' as a colour choice? The reason I call it that, is GM's electrodeposit primer is that colour. To me it looks like they ran the car or truck thru the elpo line, then bypassed the colour booths & then gave it a clear coat. Even the Corvette my dealer had in their showroom was that colour... Plus it seem that if the vehicle is a metallic, there's an upcharge. The colour choices appear to be getting fewer & fewer & the 'ones' that aren't black, white, silver, maroon are God awful. I see a new GMC Canyon @ the parts store I deal w/ & it's a yellowish green metallic

Where do I start? My maily has had pick ups since 75 (GM of course since my father and I worked in the Oshawa Truck Plant from 1965 to 2008). Somewhere along the line they went from work vehicles to glorified Impalas. The emphasis like you say has been on gizmos. I will say the Intellibeam system on my 2024 does work. That's more than what can be said about the 'auto dimming' rear view mirrors... I wonder what percentage of trucks don't see a stick of lumber or bag of gardening material in the back?

Back in 2005 out in Alberta & British Columbia (the Oilpatch), the fleet 3/4 tons were Fords & Dodges while the personal use pickups you saw in driveways were mostly GM. I have been out west since, but not in that part of the country, so I dont know if that still stands. I think a lot of it is driven by price. I cant recall the difference, but on similar product (speaking trucks) the Dodges were considerably cheaper. Was the 'classic' Ram model discontinued recently? I'm guessing it had a lower price point than the newer trucks. Was it available as an HD? How do the current Rams compare in price to the T1XX trucks?
