  1. There are 3 holes pierced in the ZR2 skidplate towards the rear.
  2. No. You just use 2 of the 3 mounting bolts.
  3. The PN is 85569359 for the ZR2 skidplate. You will need to drill & tap 2 holes in the Xmember for the rear mounting bolts. Use either 3/8"-16 x 1" or M10 x 1.5 x 25 mm bolts. The tap drill for the SAE/Imperial bolts is 5/16". Use a 8.5 mm drill when drilling for the metric fasteners. Be careful when tapping & torquing the bolts as the metal thickness is only 1/8" or 3 mm thick. I'm guessing the ZR2s use a different frame as I imagine those holes would be pierced & tapped when the Xmember is produced.
  4. Swapped the tow hooks & skidplate.
  5. Not sure where you get that from the article...
  6. Is it around the outside where the glass meet the body (not the @ the sliding portion)? If yes, maybe tell the beancounters 'X' amount of urethane is required to effect a proper seal...
  7. All recalls have to be dealt with before a vehicle is sold. I dont think the dealership wants someone willing to buy a car or truck, but they cant take delivery of it until the recall is done. 'Sorry we're waiting for parts, can you pick it up two weeks from tomorrow?'
  8. Anyone have a U bolt nut kicking around that they can thread a known metric bolt into? I can crawl under my truck tomorrow and check.
  9. I was referring to the orange. I've seen @ least 3 in Canada. I think 2 were maroon & white, while the 3rd had blue as the primary colour.
  10. Nice. Never saw that colour in Canada w/ the 2 tone package.
  11. Qa@64BAwagon Did the aftermarket 2 tone for K2XX models appear in the US? I saw a few here in Canada during the model run. It looked pretty good, but the CHEVROLET graphic on the tailgate was a bit off. Im not sure if it was the font or size that didnt look right to my eyes. There is a thread in the K2XX 1500 forum. That all being said, I'm not sure if the T1XX 1500s w/ the swooping feature line in the fenders & front doors is conducive to a 2 tone.
  12. Same RPOs on my 2024 gasser.
  13. I asked over on the Forest River Forum, but the respondents were in the dark like me but curious too. If towing & the truck's electronics detect trailer sway, is there any indication on the cluster icons or info center that the TSC has been activated? TV is a 2024 Silverado 2500HD SBCC gasser. Truck is not equipped w/ the 5th wheel/Gooseneck package. We were also wondering w/ trucks equipped w/ the electronic TSC is it necessary to use an aftermarket sway control device? TIA
  14. No engines are produced in Oshawa.
  15. I have no knowledge of the K2XX or T1XX assembly process but after the GMT400 model run, I saw no special fixture being used to set the Z height near the end of assembly. In the orginial Oshawa truck it was done on the 'flat top'/main line after the truck was pretty much complete & before initial start up. I assume the other truck/SUV plants used the same tool. One of our tool makers made some revisions to improve durability & ease of use. Corporate showed some interest. I havent looked under my truck @ the torsion adjusters or measured ride height.
  16. Last fall after camping season, I replaced my 2017 K2XX 3/4 ton w/ a 2024 T1XX 3/4 ton. Last week was the 1st time I hooked up to my Rockwood Mimi Lite 2106 w/ the new truck. After hooking up I went to lower the tailgate, to put the caster in the box & grab the sway control, I found I could not completely lower the tailgate. W/ the 2017, there was no interference between the top pf the tailgate & the tongue jack. Afterwards I took some measurements & redrilled the hole in the drawbar 3" 'forward. Yes the drawbar is still completely in the receiver, but the amount it sticks out rearward is noticeable. I know there has been talk online about the Multipro tailgate interference w/ trailers since its intro, but nothing about the conventional tailgate. Has anyone had the same experience?
  17. OK, so now that I'll be towing my trailer, is there a workaround to raise the threshold above 65 psi (the limitation of the edit function) to 80 psi as per the door jamb sticker?
  18. 'If it's not broke, why fix it?' My pet peeve is the 'chrome' inlay in the floor trim for the front doors. I can see if a person isn't careful w/ their boots getting in & out they will be scraped up in no time. Does GM's braintrust not know that some of us use them as trucks, not cars?
  19. I use it in my 2024 Silverado HD. It's hit or miss as I can seem to see if the phone is connected just by looking @ the dash, iso there an icon? I know if I remember to look @ my phone's notifications, I'll see 'Android Auto Connected'. Most of the time I forget to look @ my phone after starting it only to get a text message on the infotainment, that doesn't play when I press play... When it works it works OK, I wish it was more consistent. Annoying to say the least.
  20. That sounds like what I heard from my father. I'll have to look for the invoice from my '82 K15 that was hauled from Oshawa to Apsley. For me after Friday's shift it, was not quite 2 hours direct.
  21. Correct me if I'm wrong, but is the shipping cost the same whether you live 350 miles or 3500 away from the assembly plant? Up until sometime in the 80s Canadian customers outside of Ontario could pick up their vehicles in Oshawa.
  22. I should drop by the 1 alignment shop that I've dealt w/ in the past. Ask them what the situation is w/ the GM pick ups & their torsion bar adjustment. @newdude What is the PN for the transfer case skidplate bolts?
  23. I hear you when we were building GMT400s there was a checking fixture for the Z height. One of my jobs was validating the spare fixture & then exchanging & validating the fixture that had been in use. This was done @ the start of each shift, days & nights. Fast forward to 1997 when I transferred back to the Truck Plant. This was near the end of the GMT800 run. Imagine my surprise when I was out along the 'flat top' conveyor & saw no fixture in use. Same thing during GMT900 production. I have no idea how the Z height has been set since.
  24. I thought we were supposed to be driving not watching TV?
