  1. this. has happened a few times. have to make sure the connection is good
  2. They noted that a bolt had either worked is way out or was not tightened correctly at the factory. They didn't seen to reference a TSB or any prior experience with this issue. Just that they noticed the loose bolt causing the issue. It's a small dealership so it's likely that hadn't cube across this yet. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  3. This sounds similar to what I noticed when mine went out of wack. Was making a sharp turn down a corkscrew parking ramp exit, heard the pop (thunk - felt like traction control kicked in or something). When I got on the highway after that, I had the 2-3 inches of slop. Had to get a new steering box installed. They pulled on off another truck on the lot because it was on backorder and I needed the truck ready to go for a long trip a few days later. Dealer took care of me pretty well to get it fixed quickly
  4. Appreciate it - thanks for sharing!
  5. Can you share the TSB info so I can take it in? Heading in pretty soon to have the truck aligned again. Steering slop has been gone for about 11000 miles, but can't seem to get the sucker aligned. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  6. Same here. This is one of the cooler mods I've seen Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  7. I had the same thing done about 10,000 mile ago. Truck was 5 months and 6500 miles old. Driving down a spiral parking ramp felt something like traction control sort of pop. Noticed a couple inches of slop in the steering when I got on the highway. Dealer had to pull the new part off another truck on the lot so I could take the truck on a planned 3000 mile road trip pulling trailer the following weekend (part was going to take over a week to arrive - dealer has taken extremely good care of me). They took care of the slop and replaced the part to get me on my way. No issues since then. Anyone else have this replaced and have the problem come back? I'm at 10000 miles since they fixed it and nervous it'll happen again after the truck is out of warranty.
  8. Had a brief foray with a Ram 2500 that had the 6.4L V8 Gas engine. Loud engine tick at cold start and constant clatter at idle - the thing sounded like an ecodiesel. Dealership acknowledged there was something wrong, but could not determine what it was. Chrysler recommended to "tear into the engine to see what's wrong". Dealer refused to do any work until they knew what was wrong. Tried to convince me nothing was wrong with it. Never had an issue with my previous 2 Silverado 1/2 tons. Shame on me. Dumped the Ram, disclosed the sounds with the Chevy dealer, took a loss, and got the 3500 Duramax/Allison. Happy camper. Here are some pictures. Had the running boards installed yesterday. Will get some more pictures up later.
