Thought that this might be a thread of interest and maybe a way for some to keep track of their oil changes. Basically post the vehicle you changed the oil on, at what mileage and how long you go on the oil change. If you follow the oil life monitor (OLM) then post at what percent it was reading at the time of the change. Also what brand oil/weight and oil filter you use. Here is an example; 7/21/18 2002 Silverado 182,157 total miles on truck 5,147 miles on oil OLM at 0% Oil AMSOIL Signature Series 10w-30 out SS 0w-20 in Ea064 filter out and Ea030 filter on Sent sample off to Dysonanalysis to see how this sample did. Reason for so short is I changed out the oil pan, intake gaskets and rear main seal so there will be some sealant in there somewhere. My oil consumption went to 0 after the intake gasket change. So it must have had a small leak. I use to go through a qt in 5k miles. No more smoke on start up after pulling the trailer either so I'm happy. Also I have been running E85 for most of this oil change and I want to see what effect it has had on the oil. -
This is going to be a great event with drifting, drag racing, burnout contest and carshow. Located near Atlanta it will be easy to get to for some. I will be set up inside the track with my Synthetic Advantage AMSOIL booth.

Finally got around to installing the Eibach 2.0 Pro Kit. Not a bad install but since I also installed the Trail Boss half shafts and Cognito UCA's it took me 5 hrs. So far I love it. The ride is so much better and the front end doesn't bottom out going over speed bumps like it did before. To me it was well worth it and since the shops around here wanted $1,200 to install it, I figured I could save some cash. I have new wheels for it and getting new Toyo Open Country ATIII's tomorrow. I got 47k out of the factory Bridgstones. I also installed a 2" block in the back.

I have a 2017 Sierra with a 5.3. I have had free oil changes for the last two years and have used the dealer's supplied Dexos. My engine and transmission are working great. I have read that many people hare having issues with AFM and hard shifting trannies. I have use Amsiol signature in all my other vehicles. Has any one switched to Amsoil and experienced problems? I am wondering if I should leave well enough alone.

Has anyone else used the AMSOIL OE ATF over the Signature Series in their 8 Speed? Any issues? Looking to get a flush done soon and want to make sure the fluid is compatible. I'd rather not shell out $300 CAD for the signature series when the OE will do. Thanks. -

I had purchased AMSOIL Signature Series ATF for my 18 Silverado - 6 speed. After having it sit for a while and never getting to a transmission flush on my own time, I called a local, honest, reputable transmission shop near me that has always treated my dad very well. They’re a no-bull, honest shop, and the owner is down to earth and knowledgeable regarding transmissions, as he should be. I informed him I had AMSOIL and wanted it switched with that, and he advised that for the 6L80E, it wasn’t a great idea. He has nothing against a better fluid, but he advised that AMSOIL doesn’t treat the electronics nicely, and it’s a common issue. I’m an AMSOIL guy, and do want him to use the AMSOIL fluid, but has anyone else heard of this or advise to simply use DEXRON VI and NOT AMSOIL?
