I purchased all new paintable high country bumpers front and rear, as well as got a painted grille and had it repainted.the headlight bezel and mirror caps I had acid etched and painted. I couldn't tell you how its holding up unfortunately as I traded it off for my duramax. Miss that truck though! Probably the best looking truck I've ever owned! Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk

Upgraded from a 15 halfton to a 15.5 3500. Wish I would have gotten the HD originally... Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk -
Turning off Active Grade Braking
Jparker2012 replied to fjtort2's topic in 2015-2019 Silverado HD & Sierra HD
On my old halfton with the max tow package it shifted like absolute Garbage in tow haul mode and the 8 speed. It had the 6.2L and was a really nice truck but the ruff shifting ultimately led me to trade it for a Duramax, and I'm glad I did! Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk -
Honestly I didn't think so, I feel like the electronic steering on these trucks works alot better with the lift. It always felt precise and predictable unlike some of my old lifted trucks. Now that may be a different story with bigger lifts/tires though! And as far as braking I never once had an issue, they where very touchy compared to my 3500Hd. Thanks man! Unfortunately I decided to trade up to a Duramax, I really wanted to trade for a high country of the same color but the wife hated the interior so I ended up getting this one instead. Lol sorry I just saw this! My tires meassure out to be a 33.5" tall tire by 12.3" wide. Granted I have the max tow package with 3.42 gears, mated to an 8 speed and the 6.2L. I do find I've lost some power but honestly it's not terrible! I also have found that the more aggressive shift points in tow haul mode help counteract the extra mass of the bigger tires. I mean you're going to loose some performance and mileage, but I honestly think you'd be happy with the end result when it's all said and done. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk

Yeah I know it, I really wanted to be one of the first to do it. I only know of one other silverado that's done it but it's a 2500Hd. Lift is 4" Ready lift Sst, went that route because the dealership said they'd value my warranty since that's the lift they use to dress up trucks. And my wheels and tires are 20x9's BMF Novakanes with 0 offset and 5 backspacing. I was running a set of 35's but I sold those and went to these 305 55 R20 Mickey Thompson Baja Mtz's. It doesn't rub now and it looks more proportional with a 33.5" tire. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk

Well I'm glad! Here's a few in direct sunlight as well No problem man, I don't have kids yet so easter isn't overly busy for me lol. And as far as the bumpers go they are the factory steel bumpers, they just come pre primered instead of chrome plated. I had to get the part numbers off of a high country silverado for a paintable front and rear bumper with park assist sensor holes lol. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk

Yes sir it was chrome, I ordered all oem paintable parts and had a good body shop paint it all for me. Here's some before pictures of the truck And After, sorry it's kind of dirty the weather has been nasty the past few days and I just got it back on Friday! sorry for being such a picture whore lol Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk

Thanks man, do you have any request on pictures as far as front, side, or rear end pictures? Looks great dude, what are the plans for it? The oem paintable parts where about $1500.00. That's for a new grille, front bumper, and rear bumper. Then paint and labor was another $1500.00. Keep in mind I had to get the mirror caps and headlight bezels acid etched for paint which the body shop did for me. It wasn't cheap, but I absolutely love how it came out!
