  13. Guy Gene, FWIW: On my high mileage 2008 CC 4wd with 5.3, etc.: truck used to burn oil like they all seem to do. After reading up on the issue I went old school to confirm: I ran a compression check on all 8 cyl. (with AFM, I considered only checking 4, LOL). All cylinders were high and even, therefore rings were good. The topside was the culprit, I changed valve cover to get new PCV design and disabled AFM. No can was installed. ALL oil consumption stopped, like nearly zero. I do not have to add oil btwn changes, and its been like that for over 100K miles. I did not have to add "can", that seems to only treat the symptom, i.e. catch the oil vs stop the leak. I have been very pleased with the 2nd life in the truck. She likes running on all 8 cylinders all the time, gas mileage has not changed, oil stays in crankcase, computer tweak got the govt out of the engine. She actually runs better today than 4.5 yrs ago when I got it with 99K. Daily Driver - 353K

  16. Dont do it. It is perfect the way it stands right now. The two inch drop shackle gives the truck a perfect stance. Leaves the back just 1 inch higher than the front. I have the same drop on my truck. I was going to take the blocks out too but loved the stance like it is. Here is a pick I took after the new exhaust. Sent from my HTC One using Tapatalk

  17. My 2WD Z71 was recently lowered about 2" in the rear for leveling (although it might not look like it) using McGaughy's 2" drop shackles only. I'll probably paint the rear inner fender wells flat black to further de-emphasize the wheel well openings. I would like to lower it more but just don't need the associated issues and headaches. Also added Corsa "Sport" duals (first class 304 SS hardware and yummy sound) and an UnderCover Flex bed cover atop a Line-X spray bedliner. Lightweight Centerline 18X8 wheels are ordered with Nitto 421Q tires. Having fun, fun, fun. Cheers!

  18. Looks good, I've decided to go with the Belltech 3/5 - 4/6 adjustable drop PN#996. I'll have to lower it 3/5 until I get wheels, the factory tires on the LTZ 20's are too tall and wide and will rub when lowered 4/6.
