With the next generation of Silverado/Sierra scheduled to debut in the next few months, with all new sheet metal, front and rear facia, all new interiors, and all new engine choices, there is one lingering question. Will the '27 model year be the end of Android Auto and Carplay? I know this will be a DEAL-BREAKER for many GM truck owners! Personally I can't see myself in a Ram or a Ford. AA and Carplay are just so seamless and easy and automatic. They're just part of the American driving experience. Your whole life is basically in your phone and now they want us to pay a monthly fee to use GM's proprietary system?. Am I the only one who thinks this is a BIG DEAL?

Your stock wheels are +24 offset, these are -18. That's a total difference of 42mm (1.65" outboard), Yes, your larger tires will rub and you'll have to trim the back of the fender liner. I have a 3.75" lift and my 285-65-20's rubbed badly with a -44 offset. Pretty major trimming of fender liner.

These are BORA spacers 1.75". The tires poke about 1" on stock 20's. Quite a bit of fender liner trimming. If you go with a smaller spacer, you'll have to cut the factory studs in order for the wheels to fit flush against the spacers. -

2021 Sierra AT4, ReadyLift 1.75 Level Kit, 285-65-20 Goodyear Wrangler Ultraterrains (34.6 tall 11.2 wide) 1.5" BORA spacers, minor plastic trimming. Sittin' perfect. -

Leveling AT4 so many choices...
Luster replied to derichio02's topic in Modifications, Wheels & Tires
I went with the ReadyLift 1.75" front level with top and bottom spacers and new UCA's. A couple comments on this kit. If you are going with stock tire size/Stock wheels, you're fine. Any tire size larger that 275 wide with stock wheels will rub on the ReadyLift UCA's. The new ball joints are HUGE. So I had to use spacers to push the wheels out to clear the UCA's. Not really a huge problem, but the entire purpose of doing a lift/level is to put on bigger tires. A 275mm tire is NOT a bigger tire. ReadyLift needs to address this so this kit will work for 35x12.50's. Other than that rant, I like the kit. Nice, smooth ride. The perfect level for me. (1/2 inch lower in front, which is what I wanted), Reasonably priced. My tires are 285/65/20's Goodyear Wrangler Ultraterrain. (34.6" tall x 11.2" wide) Love the tires and the level look. -
How do you know if DFM is working?
Luster replied to Phoneline99's topic in Engines & Drivetrain (V8, Duramax, TurboMax)
I also totally disagree with the engineer that there is no excess wear and tear on the lifters and pushrods! What a crock! All in the name of ONE mile per gallon. One word. Pulsar LT. -
PULSAR LT CONTROL MODULE?
Luster replied to Stanleyj42's topic in 2019-2026 Silverado 1500 & Sierra 1500
Yes, November ? 2020 through March ?, 2021. There is a topic on this forum specifically about the defective lifter issue. A GM tech who works at the engine plant stated that engines built before and after those dates have the "good" lifters and lifter springs and should be fine. But I still disabled DFM anyway with the Pulsar LT, even though my engine was built way after the defective date. DFM causes way too much wear and tear on the lifters and pushrods with the constant activate/deactivating! V8 all the time is the way to go. Be sure to remove the device prior to any dealer service appointment. Only takes a couple minutes to install/uninstall. Here's the link to the defective Lifter thread... PULSAR LT CONTROL MODULE?
Luster replied to Stanleyj42's topic in 2019-2026 Silverado 1500 & Sierra 1500
I just installed the Pulsar LT on my 2021 Sierra AT4 6.2. Five minutes to install the hardware. 10 minutes to program. Very easy. Speedo calibration for bigger tires worked perfectly when checked against GPS on Google maps. My truck doesn't have Auto/Stop so I cant speak to that. But the DFM is NOW DISABLED. I have a Borla exhaust and I could always tell when it kicked into "chopper" mode. Now V8 all the time. Pricey, yes. Worth every penny. -

Owners Pictures of 35" Tires on Stock AT4 or Trail Boss
Luster replied to rikhek's topic in Modifications, Wheels & Tires
Filled out the wheelwells a little today. Stock tires were GY Wrangler Territory 265/60/20, new rubbers are GY Wrangler Ultraterrain (10 ply) 285/65/20. 34.8" tall... pretty close to 35's. I had to do a little minor surgery only on the passenger side mud flap. Driver's side cleared by 1/4". Just had to trim a little off the passenger side with a utility knife. Pretty easy. Stock wheels, no level, no spacers. AT4 stock suspension. Balanced out perfectly. Discount tire... highly recommended. See before/after pic. -

Even though my 305's weren't rubbing I decided to push them out 1.5" with some BORA wheel spacers. It looks so much better and still no rubbing with 2.25" ReadyLift Level. No cutting of studs because my Factory Repo wheels have deep pockets on the backside between the lug holes. -

Looks great man! Hey, where you been? Busy Life! 4 sons, 4 daughter-in-laws, 9 grandkids, all live within 3 miles of me. Plus I've had LOTS of home improvement projects. Kitchen remodel, trim and interior painting, etc. Busy life..... -
Matt, it's not only that wheel spacers are a simple part, but a VERY important part when it comes to safety. Bora makes the highest quality billet aluminum, hubcentric spacers on the market, they also come with the highest quality case hardened lug bolts. Hubcentric is essential because the load of the wheel is centered on the hub rather than the studs. This also means you will have no vibration from the wheel being just slightly off center, as it could be with non-hubcentric spacers. Read some Amazon reviews of the cheap Chinese-made wheel spacers and you'll understand. Stories of lugs breaking, wheels falling off, trucks being wrecked, front suspensions being ruined. Bora is the trusted brand, indeed the "Cadillac" of spacers. You can buy spacers for half the price of Bora, but is it worth the risk? Nope. As far as trimming lugs, it depends on your wheels. Factory wheels have a 1/2 - 3/4" indent on the back side which provides a place for the lugs to reside, but the spacers have to be at least 1-1/2" thick. Aftermarket wheels without the indents require 1-3/4" spacers.
