FXR is a specific projector from 'The Retrofit Source' (link below) that alot of people are swapping out inplace of the OEM projector in conjuction with an HID system. Most using the Moimoto brand also found at TRS. Where did you order your LED's from? Removing is probably the best option, makes the truck easier to clean too. I just used fishing line and then peel pulled up the sticky stuff with my fingers. It comes off somewhat easy. Any residue left I cleaned with goo gone. Then I waxed the area. Tailgate took about 15 mins or so for the bowtie and then 10 mins for the letters.

I vote to remove all together. You really don't have any black gloss items that it would accent with. I think a matte black would look better than the gloss since it would at least match the side steps. But these tracks really have such beautiful side profiles that removed would look best IMO. Still need to get around to pull mine, did you use an eraser wheel to get the gunk off?

Thank you! I had the tails painted, was really worried about going to dark again (was pulled over in my last car for this). The light shines through these just fine, but I think they are a tad too dark again. I have a backup set that I am going to bring to the painter and see if he can go lighter still. My last debate for now is: 1. Leave Silverado in Chrome on Side 2. Plasti Dip it Black and Put Glossifier over it, so it's gloss black. 3. Remove it all together

That color combination is spot on man. Looks great! I like how you shaved the tailgate too, smoked taillights/headlights aren't my thing, but truck looks great.

Nice! Those have always been my favorite chrome GM wheel, both in 20" and 22".

Couldn't edit the first, post but decided against the SCA bumper 2820$ is too much to throw at a bumper. That's damn near all my exhaust upgrades. I think instead i'm going to try and have everything color matched. Essentially dechrome the truck, maybe with the exception of the Sierra and z71 badges. Also decided to go Airaid Jr rather than a full CAI since it will still give the same benefit of a CAI, and most of the noise from the setup will be due to the catted Y pipe and Corsa exhaust. About to order the Airaid Jr and Dually D2s. I'll make a video comparison between stock engine/exhaust tone and with the Jr. Kit. Going to try and install the Morimoto HIDs this weekend too.

Hey chuck1219, not that I'm a pro but I believe you install your rear shocks upside down. The body of the shock attaches to the lower bracket.
