  1. Several years ago I had the Pedal Commander (PC) installed for about 2 months and it was great at first. Untitil one day while driving I had a ton warnings pop up and the truck went into limp mode. Thankfully I was close to work when it happened and not on the highway. I removed the battey cable and disconnected the PC and I've never had that problem again. Maybe it was a onetime thing, but I wasn't going to risk to it happening again.

  2. Sorry to have read about the events in the posts above. That's very sad news. My $0.02 here because I'm in the thick of it: Update your wills, create one if you don't have one, establish plans for end of life care and decisions, get your Medical and other powers of attorney updated, and squared away.

  4. Hey guys, wanted to just share something that ive been working on for the last couple weeks. I got my 2026 Silverado 2500 with the 6.6L Duramax. I previously came from a 2020 3500 with the 6.6L Gas motor. So far im loving the new truck and the Duramax. I wanted to get the iDash Pro for the truck but with the gauge and the pod, man it was pretty much over $600 after shipping. So instead i decided to try to build my own application that could display similar data on the trucks nice infotainment screen. There is tons more real estate there anyways. So thats what ive done. I bought the OBDLink MX+ to get data off the OBD-II CAN bus. I bought a small ESP32 dev board to interface with the OBDLink, and then i built an Android Auto app that i installed on the truck through a private Google Play release. So far everything is working great. Im still very heavily developing the software so there are lots of things i want to implement, but here is a screenshot of the screen so far. I have configuration screens and some other data that is not in the screenshot but this is the main area. I think im going to redo the way these gauges are shown and put more of the large gauges up instead of the 4 that i have now, with the smaller ones below. Has anyone done anything similar? Sorry for the finger prints all over the screen... ill get some better images later

  5. Just installed the Hellwig rear sway bar (#7780) on my '23 Silverado. Set the bar at the lowest setting (outer hole) for starters. Noticed the improvement immediately! Truck has much less sway taking corners. It also feels more "planted" taking corners. I don't have any cloverleafs near me but the 90 and 180 turns I did felt a lot less challenging and the truck had a lot less sway taking the corners. I like it. Gives a feeling of more confidence taking corners. Recommended. Also noted several others posted about the parts bag being wrong. So it wasn't a fluke with mine. Hardware store trip was required.

  6. I've been using the App of several years. I use it as a general guide but have a short list of stations that do in fact keep current in updating the data base. As a member, and I am not one, have liberty to update pricing in real time as well. There's a note on the page about last update times. It is more inaccurate during times of extreme price volatility. Like any tool, it is as good as the data it is fed. Where I find it really handy is on long trips in areas I haven't explored much in finding stations of a particular brand. Or finding E-85 for Pepper outside my 'loop'. I agree, it isn't perfect but still useful to a degree that i keep it loaded on my phone. My 2 cents...
