  1. Different style and design... I had a capless full fill on the one vehicle I took to Idaho to bomb around on BLM land for work (it was a rental Toyota Rav4 if I remember correctly). Had inches of mud on the sides and underneath, ran through flooded roads; all in a place supposedly dry 99% of the time. The only thing that was clean was the interior and the inside of the fuel door and the fuel fill. There was nothing in that design that indicated it would have issues (I was skeptical of the capless design myself). Even spraying it down at a car wash would leave no visible water inside that fuel door. I was sold on that design...I hate tethered fuel caps because they eventually get dropped against the paint and scratch things. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk
  2. Typically the more pressure a hose will handle, the thicker it's sidewall will be and more resistant to collapse from vacuum. They made vacuum gauges for mileage coaches at one point...the higher the vacuum, the better the mileage. They were actually kind of neat...more of a novalty, but neat to watch. 3. When they screw up your order, tell you that YOU pay to ship the wrong stuff back to them before they ship the correct stuff...the best was I was charged taxes and shipping for one state and it shipped from my home state! Yeah, had two bad deals trying to "buy Amsoil online", Amsoil customer service sucked both times...I won't bother wasting my time. I don't buy the kool-aid... 4. While I don't disagree, it makes a wonderful improvement in rough road feel through the steering wheel. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk
  5. Yeah, not the best option, but at the time nobody offered aftermarket replacements since leaving off the stabilizer was a 2011/2012 thing. I'd probably buy a Bilstien if I was to replace mine. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk
  6. Nah, got to shop around... Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk
  7. The OE shock cost $70 IIRC...for comparison. Sent from my SM-T350 using Tapatalk
  8. Oh, I'm not up on the new stuff... Sent from my SM-T350 using Tapatalk
  9. Have you checked the PST fluid while it's running to see if it's foamy? Might be sucking air. Sent from my SM-T350 using Tapatalk
  10. The front should be easy, flange to flange IIRC. Rear is a little more difficult, I remember the Dodges had a plug for doing this that was just a chunk of plastic. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk
  11. Considering the dealers have a network and what one knows they can all know, saying one has better information these days than another is really unfounded...especially with Internet and instant file sharing. You're essentially saying that GM doesn't have qualified individuals working at their dealerships... I also find it funny that the "GM reps" on this forum will respond to one person having some one-off weird issue, but will chose to ignore threads like this one and the vibration issues on the 1500s with hundreds and thousands of complaints, is also kind of lame. I have no dog in this fight, I have neither a 1500 vibrator or a 2500 with steering issues. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk
  12. And responses like yours are a canned GM response...you might as well have said "it's your fault you bought a lemon", because you are making this out to be the owner's fault. Sent from my SM-T350 using Tapatalk
  13. The 17s haven't been out long enough to know if they addressed the problem... Sent from my SM-T350 using Tapatalk
  14. One or two cases is acceptable, it happens. Multiple failures with same symptoms and no real fix are a problem. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk
  15. Watch Amazon.com and Walmart.com, as they tend to have sales on Mobil 1 for $20/5qt jug. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk
  16. The average owner would never see a benefit from one to the other... Sent from my SM-T350 using Tapatalk
  17. Have you checked to see if the horn itself still functions? Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk
  18. There is no locker in the front axle, not even a limited slip... Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk
  19. As I indicated earlier, there is a TSB out for at least my 2012 for tcase noise...it sounds like a pinion bearing (coast sounds different from load). Under load you would think either the front end or the transfercase had a bearing about to implode. I don't use 4wd often, but when I do its for miles and miles of snow covered roads (which makes this noise particularly annoying) or towing/hauling heavy offroad (think cutting firewood). I have nearly 100k on my 2012 and have had it in three times for the noise...the first was the TSB acknowledging the noise, the next was a TSB for a fix, and the last was a TSB stating the fix didn't work and there was no other plans to address the issue. You can probably look those up, and see if they cover your truck. I gave up after try number three, the fluid in the front differential and the transfercase look fine, I get very little wear metal on the magnets, and the noise hasn't gotten worse in that time. I'm not going to worry about it. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk
  20. I ran a Dodge rental on some of that nastiest BLM roads in Idaho, everytime I opened the fuel door, it was clean. If they design it right, should be a non-issue. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk
  21. Personally, I think it's a multitude of things being amplified by the frame...the 2500s have frame beaming as a result of the stiff frame and poor tires. Why couldn't the 1500s also have frame beaming as a result of axles/tires/driveshaft/differential/etc? That's part of troubleshooting, keep trying things until you find what works... 22. It might be worth asking the dealer to diagnose, just for peace of mind. Sent from my SM-T350 using Tapatalk
  23. I work with a lot of inactive military types in my field, they beat that clip/magazine into me a long time ago...HA! Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk
  24. Do you have the manual shift tcase or electric? I know they have a TSB on mine for 4wd noise that has no resolution. At one point it was a bushing in the shift mechanism, but they since retracted that. I had mine in twice for it, and they finally told me not to worry about it...bought the truck new in 2012, sit with 95k on the clock. Supposedly no damage or wear from the noise, although it sounds like a bearing in the front axle or the 4wd portion of the transfercase is about to blow apart. 25. Ammunition is also stored in magazines, called igloos...but you need to deal with large amounts to hear that term. I noticed the clip/magazine thing a few pages back and just let it go...most don't understand there is a difference. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk
