  1. Tell that to the $100 ticket I got for having my offroad lights uncovered...not in use, just uncovered. And a friend got tagged for not having his fogs on with low beams. That was $87.50... And still another friend got his inspection rejected for not having lights on with the highs and for having tires past the fender well (by a 1/4" mind you). Don't tell me, or preach to everyone on here, that it won't happen... Sent from my SM-T350 using Tapatalk
  2. Until you're ticketed... Sent from my SM-T350 using Tapatalk
  3. Some states have laws about how lights need to be wired to the highs and lows, if not covered. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk
  4. That's perfect for someone who uses their truck for racing...easy to get access. I had a 22 gallon mounted in a extra large aluminum crossover toolbox when I had my diesel...then I bought a 60 gallon tank/toolbox combo. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk
  5. Rock Auto may even have replacements, they do for my 2012... Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk
  6. Within a household, yes...not like you can hand it to some stranger on the street. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk
  7. I replaced mine at 50k, just because I was doing other PM at the time...used a Wix, no mileage difference noted. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk
  8. Does it happen as it's downshifting? Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk
  9. Have you inspected the rotors? Since you ruled out bad tire, I would look for a bad rotor. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk
  10. Not my happiest moment... Cleaned out my grandfather's shop on Saturday. He passed away recently at 90 and I was promised his tools. Being he was a retired auto mechanic (a real mechanic, not a technician), you can imagine the tools he had from being in that profession for nearly 50 years...he owned his own repair garage for nearly 40 years. I would guess most of his tools were older than me, some have his name stamped on them, likely from the days before he had his garage. Was pretty surreal since I helped him build that shop as a kid, and used most of those tools at one point or another on some fixit project or wild fabrication project. 11. I like that! Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk
  12. I just read of someone buying fleet chassis cabs with 3.73s, and relatively recently? Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk
  13. By now, the standard gearing for a 6.0l is 4.10 and 3.73 is only available via special order in the chassis cab. I want to remember that happened in 2013, it was shortly after I bought my 2012, which has 3.73s. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk
  14. Perfect, thanks! Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk
  15. Come on forum...we talk all the time about "grounding issues" causing all sorts of odd behavior. Someone must have been down this path before now?!? I found a few, where are the rest hiding? Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk
  16. No guesses? Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk
  17. Wow, I did mine for about $150... $75 for the battery, $75 for the custom battery cables made to order...the battery hold down cost $3. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk
  18. I'm touching up all the grounds on my 2012. Essentially pulling them, wire brushing, adding electrical anti-corrosion compound, and reinstalling. Just PM stuff, not chasing any issues... I found a group back by the fuel tank, a group under the driver's feet; both on the frame. I found two on the cowling in front of the driver (engine compartment), one of those leads to the left rear corner of the engine (braid) and the other leads to the hood (plus a batch I've installed for various electronics). I found another group on the front right corner of the engine (one for the battery and the other runs to the top of the engine). I know I pulled one under the grill for the horn, that was a while ago... The only group that was questionable was those attached to the aluminum engine block, there was corrosion at both locations. But I also oil my truck, so nothing is really rusty. Any others? I'm thinking there may be one under the spare tire for the trailer harness or tail lights? 19. Just saying, we haul heavy with our 2500hd and have no issues whatsoever. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk
  20. We have OE sized Duratrac on a 2500hd company truck...put 2400 pounds of water in the bed and our gear, and the truck handled just fine. These were factory 265x17s... They are more a mud tire, so they are going to squirm. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk
  21. These can also appear when a truck is suspended on a hoist where the frame is bowed. I've seen it happen on three Dodge 2500s, all were on a lift that supported the frame just behind the cab allowing a lot of weight to hang from that point t to the rear. I've been adamant about not having a truck put on a smaller post lift since that point. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk
  22. Hmm, I have the original battery in my 2012...that would make two I have to replace cause I added the second battery. Can't really go wrong with Deka... Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk
  23. When Dodge introduced this in the 2003 2500/3500, they claimed it was to better distribute weight buy putting it behind the axle and to help ride quality...the previous generation was out on the nose, the later generation was back by the cab. If you consider that each battery weighs near to 75 pounds, I can see that. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk
  24. Most 2500s have the second tray, but no second battery... Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk
  25. If it's RWD, load it on the dolly rear first, front wheels on the ground. I know full time RV'ers flat tow all the time...got to be possible. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk
