  1. Depends on the headers. These particular ones go from 1600-1800 depending where you purchase them. Yeah, just about anything you do does these days.
  2. I don't yet but from the driving I've been doing so far the exhaust is great. No drone and it's not really loud in the cab at all. I went with Corsa specifically because of the type of mufflers they produce, I.e no drone, and there claims seem to hold up. I do need to get on the highway and stay around 70 to test it fully. To be fair I do have a custom tune with AFM tuned out. So that helps a lot with drone management.
  3. Thanks man, american racing headers paired with a Corsa DB custom exhaust.
  4. Got the headers & exhaust put on.
  5. Ah that's true, that must have been an option for older trucks. Which require different types of hardware, i.e PCM's etc. You're right though, tunes def aren't cheap but it's like they always say you get what you pay for. I had a cheaper "custom" tune a long time ago and my engine blew up. Take that how you will, just stating what happened.
  6. I believe Black Bear offers a "rented" autocal option as well. Where you pay a deposit, tune your truck, return the auto cal and receive your deposit.
  7. I didn't do this today but a couple days ago. So I got my truck tuned by Black Bear and I gotta say...I think I made a huge mistake. I waited way too long because I should've gotten this tune when I first bought the truck. It's night and day! The 6.2 feels like a completely different beast after some tuning. There's virtually no throttle lag anymore, it just "goes" when you step on it. I absolutely love it. My tune is optimized for a set of long tube headers and exhaust that haven't been installed yet. However, a shop should be getting it done very soon. I was told once my headers and new exhaust are installed the tune will be running much more efficiently. Safe to say I feel like a bit of kid again so I figured I'd share with my GM truck buddies.
  8. I wish I was that handy or had just as handy friends. Unfortunately where I'm from shops in my area all charge excessively for work like this.
  9. I know this may be a longshot but would anyone on here mind telling me how much a shop in your area quotes you for exhaust and header install? I just want to make sure I'm not being overcharged.
  10. Well I haven't installed them yet but..these just came in ;)
  11. Just curious to see if mine are going to last. Mine were originally chrome, sand blasted then powdered gloss black.
  12. Will do. Just waiting on the headers & autocal to come in and it's all getting thrown on. Those look good. Are they powdercoated or did you buy them like that?
  13. Picked up my tips for the new exhaust. It's all coming together slowly.
  14. No sir, clears 100% at least in drive. The driver side needs a bit more trimming but it's not hitting any metal anymore. So you can make it work, just need the determination lol. Indeed, these wheels came off a lifted truck I previously owned. After being able to fit them I doubt I'd lift my truck ever again, still rides nice and looks just as good imo.
  15. Oh yeah it rubs lol. Had to cut metal to clear it, which is way too much for most people. -44 offset.
  16. Somewhat washed and clean. For now.
  17. as promised, here's one pic of the new painted plastics. In this one you can see the license plate holder, fogs, mirrors, grille and bumpers. All freshly painted. I'll post more tomorrow!
  18. I agree I'm very happy with the work and no I didn't. I wouldn't know where to start honestly. Had a guy do it locally. I prepped the bumpers last night (threw all the front and rear plastics onto them) and man the gloss black looks so great next to the pearl. Can't wait to finish it. Hopefully today after work, I'll post some pics up when it's all put together.
  19. They're not on the truck yet but hopefully will be soon. Glossed all my textured plastics to a mirror black and got all my chrome colormatched. Here's some plastics, I did the bed caps, fog housings, mirrors, plastic bumper piece, tailgate handle, bumper steps and all rear bumper plastics. Tailgate handle
  20. I want some 16 lights now. Those look great! Anyone wanna buy some modified 14 lights? haha
  21. Corsa DB Series. I'm going to cut the 3rd cat, do 3" piping all the way back split into dual 5" tips. Later on add some ARH's and a CAI. Hopefully she'll sound something like this, Btw, do post a vid once those headers are on!
  22. @Rawyzf, can't wait to hear your truck with long tubes. I plan on getting some ARH's later this year. Here's the setup it's going to be linked too, just waiting to get it all installed.
  23. Toying with the idea of tow mirrors again. Played with this in photoshop, what do you guys think? Yay or Nay?
  24. Throw 40 over the shield and you'll really love it.
