  1. Part number for the quick lift you want is RS999901 Yes.. you can adjust the firmness of the struts.... but not the height.
  2. Yes, Yes and Yes. an expensive lesson, but I'll never have any kind of spacer again.
  3. Yes... kinda confusing.. let me break it down... I had the Bilstein 5100's with an additional 2" leveling kit. I had to keep my 2 in level installed ( I got last year) because the top threads on the springs were to cut. Long story short... they could not remove the 2in level. So we went ahead and installed the Bilstein 5100's at the STOCK adjustment - NOT extended 1.8in. ( since I already had a 2in level) I had many people tell me even if we could have removed the 2in level and extended out the Bilstein 5100's to the 1.8 (as originally intended) the ride would have been about the same. Obviously, the 2in level makes the ride harsher..... but so does the Bilstein 5100 at MAX adjustment. So it's hard to say which one would be worse. So today, I got it all removed and got the Rancho 2in quick lift installed - struts are preloaded in new springs. It's much better....
  4. Bilsteins were removed today after one day... new Rancho Quick lift was installed in the front....with new Rancho adjustable in the back. .only have about 10 miles .. but I can already tell the Rancho is 10x better... ( unless you like a harsh off road ride) Plus I haven't messed around with the adjustments yet.. Remember... all these new Rancho's are adjustable... I'm probably the first one that has had BOTH the Bilsteins and Rancho quick lift installed on a new body 2014-2015 GM... so take my option for what it's worth.... If you are looking for a 2in level... get the rancho quick lift set up (loaded with new springs) beats a level kit / and or extended out Bilstein anyday...
  5. Yes, I'm sure the level isn't helping ... but is the level ( with shocks set at stock height) a lot worse than having NO level and the shocks fully extended?? that's the million dollar question...
  6. Well I got them installed today. And to be honest... it was a $650 dollar mistake on my part. I should have never messed with what I had. The new shocks may handle the bad bumps maybe a little better... but defiantly not worth the cost. Actually seems like everything else may be a little harsher, but the bad bumps.. A side note.. they did have keep my 2in level installed. Something about the top bolts were cut when the level was installed a year ago. Anyway... instead of removing the level, and extending the shocks out to max 1.8 in.... they left the level in place and keep the shocks at the "factory" stock adjustment..... no extension. Not sure which way would give the best ride.. as I have heard extending the shocks to max 1.8in can also make for a a harsh ride. Anyway.. the whole deal was a waste of 4+ hours and $650 bucks.. in my opinion....
  7. boone9 - I been researching this same thing all week.... since I had a 2in level installed a year ago, but having the bilstein adjustable installed tomorrow. The consensus it, I should remove the level and fully extend the shock to 1.8in. I know this will be enough lift for me ( that was never my concern, since I only run 275/60/20) MY concern was always the ride quality. Some say the bilstein at full adjustment will ride a little harsher. But leaving in the 2in spacer ( and the shocks not adjusted any) wouldn't be any better since the spacer makes everything harsh.
  8. """"what is the point of vent shades again? sounds like a bad idea from the 80's. """ that was exactly what I was thinking. They do nothing .. and screw up the aero of the truck. People install this stuff and wonder why they have all kinds of mysterious wind noise after the fact. Truck today are real aero sensitive to changes like this. I'm in Florida.. with a dark truck and black interior.. and I don't need them on a 100 degree day. just crack the back widow when I park...even it rains real hard ... may be only a few drops in the truck.. no harm. The best thing you can do is tint your windows...
  9. Just got mine today as well. Every place around here wants 300 to install all 4 shocks ( alignment included)

  21. 90% of you guys will be more than happy with just the Moto HID kit. Spend the $170.. and call it the day. Your lights will be at least 2x better than stock.
  22. blackwall out.... clean!
  23. I wrapped every connection on my Moto kit with electric tape for added water proofing. I also added silicone to the seams of the ballast .... anywhere it looked like water could enter. all my connections, etc are air tight.
  24. love the look. I have the stock 275/55 ... what is the difference on the 275/60 ? Just wider? or taller as well?
