  1. Doug, are the cargo lights still incandescent from factory? Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
  2. Is that GMC blue the same as Chevy Northsky ?
  3. How long does it typically take for the truck to be on the shipped from the time it's built? one week? (Zane - I know your truck was held up for QC issues and not typical )
  4. So you will be about 3 weeks from build to delivery. cool. Post pics and details when you get her...
  5. cool, let us know if you hear anymore info..
  6. I have only heard about wavy windshield... I would think any trucks built in the last few weeks, moving forward should be ok..
  7. I thought I saw this info once, but can't find it. Anyway.. for you guys that have received new 2019 orders - how long did delivery take after the truck was build?
  8. Let us know what the dealer says..
  9. Anyone done this on a 2019? Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
  10. I agree. I think the reason they don't offer tank size options has to be production cost stay lower. They pinch every nickle. I also agree GM will not be #1 anytime soon.. they are lucky if RAM doesn't overtake them as #2 in the next few years. I would have ordered the 2019 RAM.. but as nice and as far advanced as they are over GM... they have a ton of issues right now. So I went with a 2019 Silverado.
  11. The smaller tank = less weight. 2 gallons of less fuel in that tank = even more weight savings. Lower weight = more MPG Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
  12. Weight savings, CAFE requirements, gas mileage, etc, They have to trim weight with each new design. Smaller gas tanks, Auto start/stop, Aluminium panels, front air dams only inches off the ground, awful driveability. I'm not sure why everyone doesn't understand this.. I for one could care less about a few MPG... I would rather have great driveability and real steel, but there are many truck buyers that choose solely on this, they could care less if it's Ford, GM, Dodge. Either way, no need to complain. Either keep your 1999 truck, or adapt.
  13. RST.. and any configuration for that matter that has Z71 will have duel speed transfer case with 4L. I have one on order now. 80% of the people that have 4x4 will never use. And when they do.. they will use 4H ..or "auto" most of the time. I have a Sierra 4x4 and Silverado 4x4 and I'm in the woods every single week... and even I rarely ever need or choose 4L
  14. I just ordered a 2019 Silverado (current production spec, nothing special) this week... how long should it take to get VIN?
  15. I had a 2014 with the 5.3. I now have a 2016 with the 6.2. Never had any shakes, oil burn, or any of the other "common" issues. Any yes, pick your poison... all manufactures have their issues. Just go read the RAM or Ford forum. These trucks are so technically complex today, it's a wonder they get any of it to work..
  16. Yes, I read something about this. Since I will be taking my 2019 to only the dealer for service.. no worries.
  17. Are the painted bumpers, etc only available on the RST? Or can you order a LTZ with the color bumpers?
  18. no, entire gauge cluster comes out in 2 min. The motor on the back is easy to change... see youtube for video
  19. stepper motor on gauge would be my guess or Oil pressure sender.. both cheap easy fixes
  20. I only drive in 4x2... almost never use the 4x4. As for the trans, it shifts and works perfect.
  21. Not a bad idea , thanks Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
  22. Just replaced with nickel plated slip yoke - still have the clunk. only when letting off gas at low speed around 20-15 mph. Seems like the 3-2 downshift. If I put the truck in neutral.. it doesn't clunk at all when breaking at low speeds. Also installed new U Joints front and rear. . Any other ideas?
  23. This looks to be the correct part - https://www.amazon.com/APDTY-708613-Driveshaft-1992-2005-01-04-17-004/dp/B00C8E8BH0/ref=sr_1_cc_1?s=aps&ie=UTF8&qid=1522285772&vehicle=2000-47-491-96-30-31-6-8-7910--9-2-145--3-0&sr=1-1-catcorr&ymm=2000%3Achevrolet%3Asilverado+1500&keywords=slip+yoke
  24. Both U Joint were replaced about 2K miles ago.. never changed anything. Any other ideas?
