  1. I did these in reverse and cargo to match up with my tailgate LED bar. Work great and 4 bulbs for $9 was hard to pass up. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07F77TF21/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
  2. Thanks for the information, great simple mod.
  3. Just installed my second Bak Revolver, this time the X4. Last one was an X2 and it went with the last truck
  4. There is no fixing or draining mod to the solid fold cover in my case. Water was coming in across the width of the bed from both folds. The aluminum hinge that caps the foam core panel was leaking from where it overlaps the panel. Simple test is to put some standing water on top and look in to see if it pour through
  5. That looks great! Good looks, simple design, and ease of removal and installation. I loved everything about mine except for the leaking at the panel seams. Test it before too much time passes, hopefully you have one with good seals.
  6. Put a light mist on the center of the cover with the water hose until you get a little standing water and inspect.
  7. Update on my Extang Solid Folid........Great looking cover that leaks a lot. Extang sent me replacement hinge seals that made no difference because the water is leaking from the panel edges. Asked for an RMA and they just asked more questions. Sent them photos of the leaking and haven't heard a response. Tried contacting by phone and only got through once and they claimed I was breaking up after I told the rep I had been dealing with my name (I was on a land line). Tried to call back and cant get through. The vendor is trying to get RMA so I can send back. If that doesn't work, I'll let Visa handle it. In the market for another!
  8. To be honest, I probably wont use it a lot but it comes in handy waiting with my 7 year old in the truck or waiting by myself for the wife or son. I can even see folks on the job for lunch or break watching a video. Maybe when we go hunting and I have my deer in the first 30 minutes and have a couple hours to kill in the truck waiting for the others to get cold and give up ! There is definitely a little bit of "because I can" too.
  9. Thanks tbarn. Glad you have it working. Like I said, this is all new to me and it took me a while to figure out. If you have an easier way or even more info on what you have working, I would appreciate the help.
  10. I resolved the issue I was experiencing with playing videos and put together a how to for those that are having issues with the system recognizing their videos. My system would not recognize the files on the SD card so I researched best I could using information from this site and others to experiment with formats and resolved. This may be basic information for some but I'm old and not as familiar with some of the new tech so I had to figure it out. Hopefully there are others like me that it may help. 11. Ready for more details
  12. I installed OEM navigation module, husky cargo box, weather techliner and tailgate liner.
  13. Can't really argue with you on that without any knowledge of the drawings and parts lists for the different part numbers. If you have any additonal details on the difference between a 12645045 starter and a 12655055 starter (other than origin of manufacture), we'd all be more educated on the issue if you shared with us. I will say as someone that works for an OEM, there is a considerable amount of cost associated with changing a part number(drawing, parts list, first artical test, environment qual, etc......) not trivial. I would think that they would just change the revision, group number, or production build sheet if less grease was the only difference.
  14. Got my truck back with the new design starter last night and all seems well. It will be single digits in the morning so I look forward to the test. Has anyone that received the new design (12655055) noticed that it seems to spin much faster than the old one? Or at least sounds like it does to me
  15. I'd love to hear how this works out. Part numbers of the transmitter and the buttons to install. I can handle getting a power source to it if it works, but there is a good chance the harness is in there just tied up behind something ( I put bluetooth and oil and volt gauges in my GM plug and play on existing harnesses. Hopefully they are available for this mod).
  16. That sounds like a frozen flapper that has been reported a few times.
  17. If they told you that, they lied and you should tell them that and take your business elsewhere.
  18. The dealer told me today that they needed to order a starter for my 2014 and I asked for the part number.they ordered and they told me 12655055 (thanks Maliburay55). Bad news is they wont get the starter until middle of next week. Good news is they sent me home in a 2014 Silverado as a loaner and apologized for the inconvenience.
  19. Thanks. I'll make sure to tell them.
  20. Add me as the latest member of the no start club. It has happened the last 4 days but I have been able to get it to catch. This morning it was -9 and it wouldn't go.
  21. Super sweet winch set up. Details on what parts and labor it took for that would be greatly appreciated. On the wheels, did you go with that offset and plans for 4" flares or were you planning to leave it like that.
  22. Very informative thread. I ended up going with the Extang solid fold. Impressed with initial quality and fit. Tie will tell if it holds up.
  23. Various pictures. Please pardon the frozen suds from the car wash
  24. New member and I thought I would get started with my first review of the Extang Solid Fold Tonneau PRICE: I purchased from Zig's Auto through Amazon for $689 with free shipping ($310 less than retail). I ordered late Thrusday night, it shipped via FEDEX Friday afternoon, and was delivered this morning. INSTALLATION: I unpackaged and installed in 10 minutes unassisted. Cover is very solid glass filled aluminum clad but weighs in at less than 50 pounds. I could have installed faster but I was picky on the positioning. The design is extremely simple and attaches by the cab with a single clamp on each side using a large wing nut to tighten without the need for tooling. True bolt on with zero modifications (no cutting or drilling)to the truck. Fit: High quality product with great fit and finsh. I will post up later after it goes through the car wash/leak test. At first I thought it would have been nicer if it were about 1" longer and then I realized that it would not work as the tailgate would wedge against and lift the back end up while openning. Looks: Tastses vary but I really like it. The cover looks like it is supposed to be on the truck and not an afterthought that was scabbed on. Pros / Cons: The feature I like about ease of installation and removal also means it can be stolen in less than 2 minutes wit an unlocked tailgate. I recommend you keep your tailgate locked while your truck is unattended!
