The first prototype, close but not good enough.
  11. Every vehicle I've had I would take a jug of fuel with me and run it out of gas, so I would know. I have not done it with this one because I don't know if it would be bad for the high pressure pump. I think I read something about it in the factory manual, but since I would read it until I'd wake up and it took 20 times of that to get through the stupid thing. The really need one for people who have driven before and one for the new drive that shouldn't be operating a vehicle without training.
  12. Bummer. At least you have a backup option.
  13. If sell you mine but after shipping the dealer would be cheaper. I think retail was about 600 on the front
  14. Hope it keeps working, that would be great. I will certainly be testing the extended cap tomorrow unless some unforeseen major issue happens and even then I'll still try to make it happen. I want to get this going already and I need to know this is ready for the next step.
  15. My TRS 50 watt kit has a capacitor built into the harness ans I thought that was why it didn't need the error corectors.
  16. Cool either way man. So bad news. I'm not going to test it today. Went to the car wash to clean my car and it wouldn't start after so I have to fix it before I can be without a truck again. Also, need to bring home my T56 Magnum transmission when it comes in, hopefully tomorrow. I'll try and fix the car tonight so I can test it as soon the transmission comes in. It was a lot cheaper to ship it to work than my house. I'll keep everyone posted. I'm resisting the urge to show pictures until I get to test fit it.
  17. Yeah, the handle is the second easiest thing to do after the diodes and wires for jumping BCM connections. 5 to 10 minutes. Also, once you get used to it being there you will use every time. Just another thing the truck should have come with, like the tailgate lock popper.
  18. I thought I heard the guy mention it was from the tube size in the catch can being to small. Probably a more standard 3/8" size like the RX for out motor when that boosted motor would need a larger 1/2" or something.
  19. I have the test cap and might have time to try it out tomorrow. :-)
  20. I ordered and Quicktime SFI bellhousing, does that count as doing something to it? Was hoping the trans would show up today, but it will certainly be here next week.
  21. I need to call my dealer since they were waiting on parts. I'll use the hose clamps but I'm going to make them work still.
  22. Yeah, it's over now. If I can pick it up tomorrow and it fits (not sure when I can get around to trying it now). I'll be done with him and on to someone else.
  23. Called the guy yesterday and no answer. Just got off the phone with him and he said he is waiting on the file still. I asked if he would be there so I could bring it to him and said just email it and he could run it in the morning. I told him I would email it within the hour and replied to an email from him after about 30 min, so there is no way I messed up the address. Frustrated he didn't call me and bit more that I didn't just drive 30 minutes to hand it to him. I guess there will be no test today unless he can run it off now, so I can grab it at 5. You try not to get on peoples nerves and let them do their thing, but that is almost always when they drop the ball. I resent it to him and might just drive up there if he doesn't call me back with it before I can make it there today. Okay, venting over and time to press on. Keep you guys posted.
  24. I hope I'll be picking up what will be the final test one tomorrow and then testing it before putting the truck together after work. I will be shopping best option right after it works. I've been doing to many things, so the time I've been using to push this will go to that right away. I have a quote for a non-printed way already that is cheaper, so I'll just be trying to beat that one.
  25. Agreed, but no one in this community can do that and this idea could help on other threads that have nothing to do with a GM problem.
