  1. Waiting on last parts lately, but got a lot done since last post, I think. Just need rear brakes and parking brakes so I can finish axle. Then my tranny crossmember and it on to wiring with custom dual exhaust last to get it running. After a while when it's all tuned I'll take it back off the road for a roll cage. 2. I've been running them since post 901. Just added the brackets a couple months back and that is much better, but could use a pocket to hold the nuts for the lower projector bolts. I glued them to hold in place for install. Sent from my SM-N900V using Tapatalk
  3. How much and more details of it all. I'm doing this my car with JVC head unit now. Don't use the traffic enough to pay for it monthly and it is already on our phones, plus it is better. Sent from my SM-N900V using Tapatalk
  4. The relay is the only part of this harness with no seals, but the other connectors are not quite OE quality either. Sent from my SM-N900V using Tapatalk
  5. I build and tune boat motors with EFI so my theory that works for me is all connectors get filled with dielectric grease so it comes out when connecting. If it's full of that there is no room for water to even get in the connector. Sent from my SM-N900V using Tapatalk
  6. Yeah they could have changed it you always have to wait until you see one. I'm curious if it's gotta drain back system like Spurs making Sent from my SM-N900V using Tapatalk
  7. I'm guess it was people on here that ordered my extended caps. Got two who did and would like to hear if they liked them. Sent from my SM-N900V using Tapatalk
  8. GM engineer talking about the catch can he designed for the 2016 Camaro with LT1 to prevent pre ignition detonation in Hot Rod Mag. For the few still doubting the use of a catch can. Sent from my SM-N900V using Tapatalk
  9. If he is testing them on a Silverado for 6 months then they are probably close. Can't see them needing testing for over a year since they are just tuning them to work the best on the application.
  10. Installed last of the ARP bolts that showed up today to hold the tranny to the bellhousing. Also installed and bleed the McLeod clutch master.
  11. Spur is right larger capacity will handle more movement and not get as hot. Also the variable in the valves is the flex in valve stacks, so the quicker the move the more they bend and close of the passage to control rapid movement different from low speed changes. The large valves allow for more progressive control.
  12. I've got $2400 in my cars coil overs, so $800 isn't bad at all. These are suppose to be a lifetime shock also. I won't be going off road at first as the truck is to pretty, but that will change. As a matter of fact I already have 2 dents, a scratch, and a door chip in the right rear corner thanks to other thoughtful people (I'd be in jail if I caught them). For that reason I'll be putting these on soon and not using them for off road right away.
  13. Most cars back over better than go forward. My older car is really low. Leaving my cousin's wedding, I pulled into the spot closest to the road and waited for an opening. Watch a new Porsche drag it's front and then I backed out just like I pulled in to the church. No scrape and applause from the groups standing around.
  14. I like the LED DRL, but don't like how it imbalances the flow across the truck with the big step up of the painted trim. Also less light. Not worth giving up mag ride for it but there were no valuable upgrades to me in the Denali in 2014. I never felt it the high county because I don't do brown. Sort of like Ford interior in 2014. Couldn't even consider it, just made me sick. All just preferences, not bashing anyone's choice. For instance black is the best looking color ever when it's clean, I just won't be the one keeping it clean ever again.
  15. Had a new rail mount put in mine last week, so far it's solid.
  16. I did similar with LTZ since I don't care for the one interior option on the High Country. If they could have give us a black option, I'd of went that way. Of course, if GMC would have had mag ride in 14 I'd would have put up with the headlights.
  17. Put in a new fuel pump capable of 850HP, new rear bump stops (just a little work to jeep stops from energy suspension), started bleeding the brakes until I ran out of fluid. Put on Wilwood 6 piston front and stainless braided lines a while back. After this it's time to put in the new motor when I can get access to a lift and some help.
  18. There is a sticky thread to keep fogs on with high beams using a 50 cent diode.
  19. I use ACAR on android. Full backup. Supports import from almost anything else. Fuelly.com purchased it but no auto upload just yet
  20. Had a 2015 6cyl 4x4 CCSB rental for a week. 3.42 axle so the same as mine but smaller tires. It was easier to run around town and keep 17 mpg but over all only 3 or 4 better than my 6.2L. If the V8s had start stop there would be almost no advantage to the V6 motors as the big difference is how fast 25 mile log drops setting at lights and in drive throughs. I also needed more pedal to get going at the same rate.
  21. I have 50 watt HID with projectors swap. LED high beams just to match color since new projectors do high also. Then LED fog lights. I have so much light it's crazy and the highs travel very far. Hope that helps.
  22. The hardest part are two of the 4 bolts underneath, but once you do it you can take it all out in 30 min or less.
  23. I grounded on the stud below the in the same exact way without grinding anything. The nut will get to metal as it threads on.
  24. These newer systems have external ignitors, but I don't see them in your pictures. Based on what I see your kit is also a 35 watt kit, so you need capacitor on the one lead that connects to the factory wiring. It needs two if it is a dual connection system, but only noticed one with a quick look at the pictures. With the single connection you also have to flip the lead to the factory connection. If you said it had capacitors then you might be talking about the ignitors and still need a capacitor for proper day time function. Edit. I don't have these new ones, but I'm pretty sure the external ignitior goes after the ballast and before the bulb. The capacitor goes on the stock connector and before the relay. The relay then goes the ballasts, to ignitors, and finally the bulbs.
