  1. Only ticking I hear is in V4 while under a slight load. I've had many trucks and all have had some kind of noise, so its never concerned me.
  2. Those look like they come with new springs too, but not the spring hat, so you'd still have to have a spring compressor. No big deal about that though. I'll have to do some looking around but those look interesting. I wouldn't mind waiting for those to come out. I'm not in a big hurry to spend a couple grand on wheels and tires yet anyway. Oh wow, those are pricey! $699.
  3. I might try to pick some up on eBay, hopefully I can find them without gouging. Bad part is they already spent me the Bilstein rear shocks. I may be a nut, but I want a matching set or I may just do a spacer and get it over with.
  4. Finally had to cancel my Bilstein front leveling shocks with Suspension Connection. I bought them in April and they kept being pushed back a month at a time until finally they said it would be mid-september. I'm thinking I'll just buy some spacers, but maybe another site has them in stock.
  5. Still waiting on my Bilstein front leveling struts. Been backordered for over a month.
  6. Looks good to me. I like it more than the outgoing model. I'd definitely choose it over a mustang. Interior looks great.
  7. I can only speak to my experience where I had leaky shocks already. To do things properly, you need to replace the UCAs when doing a level to be sure or just leave the whole thing alone and keep it factory. You may actually be leaking but just didn't notice it. If you have the ranchos, look at them at the back of the truck. If there is black build up on the white paint then there is most likely a leak.
  8. I decided to go Bilstein because after 4500 miles my stock rear ranchos were already leaking. Didn't instill much confidence that they'd last long. May as well upgrade them now and get the benefit of a level.
  9. Just picked up a set of Bilstein adjustable shocks front and the rear to go with them. Autozone spring compressors work fine for the install or should I order something better?
  10. Yeah, I agree. I noticed the carpet looking covers. I just sprayed them with degreaser when I was washing the wheels and tires. Let it sit for 2-3 minutes and sprayed them out with a garden hose. Came out looking brand new. I found that the plastic liners were hard to keep looking brand new as they would discolor over time. I think the mottled look of the carpet will hide the imperfections and look better than the plastic over time.
  11. Thanks for the reply. Anyone run Quicklift with 275/70-/18, stock Z71 wheels? Any rubbing?
  12. I know its probably been asked before, but I can't find a decent answer to it. Will the Rancho Quicklift struts fit the Z71? It says "excludes Z71" on their website, but I'm not sure why it would be excluded. If the Quicklift doesn't work, will the Bilstein 5100 ride adjustable work?
  13. $27k more for special leather and some screens. Ouch.
  14. Has anyone brought up the KR issues with a dealer?
  15. I can't find much about that, any links?
  16. Why are people running premium? Higher octane is only to prevent detonation in higher compression engines and doesn't contain any more chemical energy than regular. Doesn't seem to be worth the 30-50 cents more.
  17. I think an MSRP of ~$37k loaded doesn't seem too far off the mark. I got my 14 Sierra 4x4 Z71 with a sticker of 43k for 35k, but it was an SLE. I'd imagine the loaded Canyon will drop to low 30's with rebates and such. That's loaded. The meat of the market will be mid-high 20's with nice options. Not too bad. I'm curious to see what the diesel will be.
  18. I just picked up a 7/14 manufacture date and it still has the waxy coating. Seems thin. The diff is painted on mine. I was able to rub my nail on the frame and remove the wax, so I doubt the clear coat stuff on the newer manu trucks means much. I'll probably buy a can of that touch up stuff posted earlier and go over all the spots after each wash.
