  1. 275/70 fit no problem, no rub. I have 6112s now, which are good for approximately 2".
  2. Hey folks, looking for fitment issues with 305/70/18, oem wheels with BFG ko2. Got 70k on the 275/70 ko2 and time for new ones. How much trimming, if any? 2014 Crew/4wd.
  3. This seems way too simple. My brake booster is acting funny, already had some kind of a recall done on it where the dealer increased pressures. Lately though, especially in low speed traffic, I'm getting the abs activated even though the wheels are not locking up. Thus, pointing me to a soon to fail brake booster. So basically the steps are: disable 4 cyl mode, cut belt, remove booster, fill holes with plugs and re-route some piping as stated in post 1?
  4. Apologize for not getting back to you sooner, I'm sure you were pretty frustrated after completing a routine job and seeing all the CELs. I know I was. So this happened so long ago, I don't recall what I did to fix the issue. Do you remember what you did, for documentation purposes? I'm sure someone else will run into this.
  5. There was a specific reason the CTS-V from a specific year group was recommended over the ZL-1. I believe their stalls are identical, had something to do with mounting. I don't recall the details. Shop that did the work on trans and converter (my converter failed at 80k, all stock setup but I towed a heavy trailer often) has a world record holding C7 so I'm gonna go with their recommendation.
  6. I'm running the cts-v tq converter on a built 6L80. Feels almost stock. Feels kinda sluggish at low speeds, especially when cold. Shifts are crisper. Didn't even need a trans tune. No codes. Since I just crested 100k miles, going to start massing parts for a top end rebuild (cam, heads, L86 IM/TB).
  7. I have LT275/70/18s, no lift Ko2s and no rub. 2014 silverado CC 4wd. So you should be able to do at least that.
  8. Currently running 275/70/18 Ko2 on OEM suspension for the last 50k miles. Shocks are toast now; never had a rub. Anybody running 285/75/18 (OEM wheels) with the 6112? That's a close to 35" diameter tire.
  9. I'm at 100k miles. Stock suspension all around. Anyone tow heavy (9-10k) and do 6112 and 5160? Also doing the z36 brakes + stainless brake lines at the same time.
  10. I must be missing something. Nothing on the distro block looks like a fuse. Are they integrated? Replaceable?
  11. I will check the battery cell. All the terminal connections are good and tight. Is there a large fuse located somewhere that controls these functions?
  12. I've changed dozens of batteries, never had an issue. Specifically on this 2014 Silverado, this is the second battery. Disconnected neg then pos as usual. Reconnected new battery, slight spark on connection nothing abnormal. Now I have a service stabilitrack, abs, trailer brakes, power steering lights all on... Read something about big fuse that probably got zapped. Looking girl recommendations and location of this big fuse. Thanks.
  13. This. I need to see a pic, 4" lift + 37s on 17" wheels would be SICK.
  14. Awesome, I'm definitely going to attempt to stuff them on OEM suspension. I'll zip tie the liners back if I have to. I don't really want to lift it, because it will hurt MPG & towing. It's bad enough the ko2s are Load Range E...although the negs will outweigh the cons when I have my 9k trailer hooked up. Thanks for the pic upload, truck looks like a truck now.
  15. More pics from further away please. I plan on doing this, no lift.
  16. Is yours leveled or OEM?
  17. What size are those tires? I don't want a level or lift. Looking at 275/70-18 or 285/65. Looks good.
  18. I tow heavy (10k~) and also would like to lift 1"to 1.5" to stuff a larger diameter E rated tire. How would this setup perform with a load? Better than 5100s? Just trying to determine if waiting for 6112 is necessary for my use.
  19. Anyone running 33x12.5x18, stock wheels...no lift?
  20. Shit. I spoke too soon. The 40-50mph vibration is gone, that was the one that felt like a rumble strip. That was fixed with new pinion, shaft & gears . Now I have the 70-75mph shimmy. Any solutions for that vibe/shimmy? Going back to the dealer in a few days...
  21. Haven't seen 6112s offered for purchase anywhere. I'm going to hold out for those and 5160s for rear.
  22. I went for a drive with the tech to ensure we were feeling the same vibe. As I noted, at 42-43mph, his vibe sensor hooked up to his laptop picked up the oscillations. The order of troubleshooting went: balance tires = vibe still there new drveshaft = vibes still there rear pinion/gear replaced = vibes gone For me, it felt like going over a rumble strip, in the steering wheel. A little in the console.
