  1. Prepare to be jealous, girls. Hood mounted brackets for light pods. Big thanks to the boys of Alternative Off Road in Cali, for the custom work and all it cost me was a bottle of fireball. Note: still in the early stages and as it sits, I might have problems with the antenna interfering with the light pod. Details to follow.
  2. Hard wired the mini 0806 I purchased a few weeks ago. I broke cardinal rule #1 ... I didn't test before installing the hard wire kit so now I have to go back and test all the wiring. On the plus side, the camera survived about a week on just battery with all features turned on. I'll test and fix the hard wire kit whenever I have more time. And yes, the camera is tiny.
  3. Nothing major or appearance / performance related, but added a USB Hub that will allow me to charge and use more devices at once.... Because yes, the 4 available ports aren't enough. Nothing's ever enough (Tested and works)
  4. Finally bed-lined the Bushwacker pocket style fender flares and installed them. I've fallen in love all over again with this truck.
  5. Remarkably easy. Simple quick connector. I didn't use the module by the bumper, I ran a write straight to the wire on the taillight
  6. 18" problems haha I read that 295/70/18 rub with RC 2.5" on stock rims. I love the Z71 rims do i went with the safe bet 275/70/18 Cooper Discoverer. Love em
  7. 275/70/18 Cooper Discoverer ATP. Not over the top, but they don't F-around either. Went from 20" Chrome to 18" flat. No regrets. No rub. No trimming w/ RC 2.5"
  8. You know what bro? I have to be honest. I think I did it all wrong. My handle is slightly loose and only comes with one real tab that pins on the body. But yes, the factory panel just comes off
  9. Few things got done today ... Driver assist handle: Step rail lighting: AVS AeroSkin bug guard:
  10. Had vinyl laying around so i used it on the back window ... Not sure how I feel about it, but I'll let it sit a few days before I make my mind up. Before: After:
  11. I can confidently recommend this kit. I have it on my 32" 180W bar and the response is instant! The "B" button adds strobe (4 different settings) and it too communicates commands well. 100% worth it.
  12. Not bad at all bro- jump over to the dedicated thread and check out what the other guys are saying. The routing of the wires took me the longest ~30 mins. The actually install of the unit only took 10 mins. Very straight forward and easy.
  13. Had been sitting on this one for a while and finally decided to do it. Added pop n lock. No complications. Love it.
  14. Thanks bro. Great minds think alike haha sick truck.
  15. What did you use to hold the clearance lights in place? I used a black plastic sheet that I then plasti-dipped to match the grill along with some 3M automotive tape. It looks clean, but I'm thinking of using something sturdier
  16. Finally got around to rewiring the grill lights and mounted a 32" flood/spot combo LED bar w/ a wireless remote.
  17. $1000 in labor is just simply absurd. The LEDs for everything except headlights, highs and fogs, should not be more than $100. I know, I've done all of them except my break lights and running tail lights. I'm currently looking into those and will likely not spend more than $50 for quality bulbs and capacitors
  18. F me. The capacitor worked for 1 hour of driving. Buzzing is back. I'm going to have to try the recommended ones
  19. So thanks to everyone who helped, but a capacitor was the answer. Had an extra one laying around a bingo!
  20. Forgive my ignorance and I'm sorry if used the wrong terminology, but isn't a relay + harness the same thing? In order words, I do have power coming from the battery. Thoughts? How would I go about installing this solid state ready?
  21. Someone sanity check this and confirm please-- I installed 55W HIDs with single beam relay. Works fine at night, but during the day (with the DRLs on) I get buzzing and endless flickering. Sounds like I need a capacitor between the stock output and relay, correct?
  22. Made a square template using plastic sheet and then used Maxxima led. Clearance lights is what they really are. Wired them to the headlights, but since I have the HIDs working off a relay, the power between the ballast and the bulb is too regulated and they don't shine at 100% so I'm going to either tap into the city lights or just set them on their own relay.
  23. Busy day. 5k HID all around. PlastiDip the honeycomb. Added raptor style amber LED lights to the grille
  24. Added reverse flood lights. I normally like lights... And lots of them, but I think this might be overkill, even for me haha I might change my mind and replace with others.
  25. Ambient light tapped to the dimmer switch for power and function. Big thanks to Toddfather for the help. Aqua blue LED strips match the interior perfectly. https://vimeo.com/111366237
