  2. The tow mirrors do obstruct your view to the sides just a bit. You need to learn to look to the right and left when approaching an intersection rather than after you have already stopped. If you wait, you will have to look around the mirror to check for cars.

  4. Nice. Been looking for a different front bumper. The only pics you ever see they are on a lifted truck. I really wondered what they look like on a stock height Trail Boss. What bumper do you have?
  5. Is this still available?
  6. Since 2000.... 2004 2500HD 6.0l CC LT 4x4 2012 1500 5.3l CC LT 4x4 2014 1500 5.3l CC LT 4x4 2016 2500HD DMAX DC LTZ 4x4 2017 2500HD 6.0l DC LT 4x4 Alaskan 2018 1500 6.2l DC LTZ 4x4 2020 1500 5.3l CC LT Trail Boss 4x4 My two favorites being the 2004 2500HD and the 2020 1500 Trail Boss I guess I could have just copied and pasted my signature...
  7. Just replace the muffler with a piece of pipe. Leave the flapper(s) in place. I did it on my 5.3l and don't have any drone. No louder than the Goodyear tires that the Trail Boss come with.
  8. You didn't have to get a larger truck. There are plenty of 1500s than can do 12k plus. Would have been everything you needed.
  9. Have a local shop cut the muffler out and replace it with a piece of pipe. Sounds pretty good and can easily be undone. Cost me $150.
  10. Just my opinion but it seems you bought too little truck for your trailer or too much trailer for your truck depending on which you purchased first. Towing "on the wire" is not the smartest of decisions. Short distances, flat terrain and only occasionally then maybe. Hills/mountains and/or long distances then you need more truck or less trailer. A good rule of thumb is to leave a 10% margin. Your trailer dry was outside of this margin. The letter you received reducing max trailer weight and max tongue weight is inconsequential.
  11. So you installed a catch can after you started having CELs? I am truly sorry for the issues you are having but you didn't do yourself any favors there. They may not be able to get away with voiding your warranty but they can make things might difficult.
  12. It's 6.8A max. If the circuit has a 10A fuse you are fine.
  13. What was your mileage before adding the air dam?
  14. Can I ask how much this cost (seats, controls and WAMS services)? There are only 2 things I wish my 2020 LT Trail Boss had. Power folding towing mirrors and cooled seats. Neither are options available on an LT.
  15. Yep. Just push the button. Sucks but it is simple and FREE. On my wife's 2017 XT5, stop/start cannot be disabled unless you spend $200 on a Range device. That SUCKS!
  16. You are expecting DFM to be garbage. That's not a good way to start out with a brand new truck. Why in the heck did you buy it expecting problems? It hasn't been available long enough to determine if that is the case or not. I never had an issue with AFM and neither have hundreds of thousands (quite literally) of others. As you said in the OP, generally speaking, only folks that have trouble post in the forums. A VERY VERY small percentage. Just like the 8-speed trans issues. Never experienced that either. Not saying there were not AFM and 8-speed issues, they just never happened to me or anyone I know for that matter. Love my 2020 LT Trail Boss. I have the 5.3L. Got the 5.3L because I was tired of feeding my 2018 LTZ 6.2L premium fuel. With the payload and towing exactly the same I saw no benefit to the 6.2L in the TB. Also, I have never been able to tell when DFM is active. Some with aftermarket exhaust say they can tell and they complain of drone and make negative statements about DFM when it was their exhaust modification that cause the "issue" in the first place. In any case, I wish you nothing but the best of luck with your new truck.
  17. To each his own brother. You make it you spend it any damn way you see fit. I'll never say otherwise. I'm sitting behind a desk with a DAC, EQ, tube amplifier and headphones that cost more than I paid for my first car (1975 Camaro LT) back in 1985.
  18. LOL! I totally get it!
  19. Simply the cost to charge a single device. Just put one of these in the back seat for the kids and you can charge whatever you want. $15 - problem solved. https://www.amazon.com/Updated-3-Socket-Cigarette-Splitter-Charging/dp/B07G8Y94PJ/ref=sr_1_46?dchild=1&keywords=car+lighter+usb+adapter&qid=1610724825&sr=8-46
  20. $150 for knob covers? ?
  21. After reading every post in this thread it appears that the "issue rate" for these things is very high. Too high for a $400+ device! I wouldn't quite call them junk but it doesn't seem like they are too far from it.
  22. Are you certain? When I shut off and then restart mine is back in normal mode. It does not stay in sport or off-road modes.
  23. I think the last year for power extend was the old body style 2007's. My '04 2500HD had them. They were nice. Would love to have power folding tow mirrors on my '20 Trail Boss but they weren't an option on an LT and they are way to expensive to add. New mirrors, harnesses and BCM programming.
