  1. You are correct. GM won't give the payoff info to anyone but a GM dealer. Same with Ford. That way they can get inventory for their dealers.
  2. Couldn't agree more. Just like the guys complaining about having to push the auto stop/start button. Really?
  3. Looks like the Technology Package is only available on the LTZ or High Country. Not an option for my LT Trail Boss. Neither are power folding towing mirrors. Its nice that you can see down the length of your trailer when you put the turn signal on. I can see down the length of my trailer by simply looking into the "big dumbo looking tow mirrors" any time I need to.
  4. I wanted to add just the power folding trailer mirrors. That alone is $2k in parts.
  5. Try the backup/reverse bulbs. They are amazing! https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B081YJ7G81/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
  6. 2020 LT Trail Boss has halogens for the backup, front turn signal and license plate lights. I replaced them all with these. 4 months with no issues so far. The backup lights are freaking amazing. SUPER bright. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07CMSD8CS/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B081YJ7G81/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0821GVXB3/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
  7. Where do you live that gasoline is difficult to get?
  8. Resale is higher because the initial price you paid is also greater. Price is a wash.
  9. So the bed power outlet will run a car fridge? Which fridge are you using?
  10. The controller wired directly to the bar is bad. Mine did the exact same thing. Email Putco. They'll take care of it.
  11. Mine took a crap after about 6 months. Putco sent me another. It's still in the box. Not really a fan of it. Was on the truck when I bought it. Have it and the wiring harness if anyone is interested. I'd let it go for $50 plus shipping.
  12. Google bought Waze years ago. Already incorporated the best features of Waze into Google Maps.
  13. The tow mirrors do obstruct your view to the sides just a bit. You need to learn to look to the right and left when approaching an intersection rather than after you have already stopped. If you wait, you will have to look around the mirror to check for cars.
  14. Nice. Been looking for a different front bumper. The only pics you ever see they are on a lifted truck. I really wondered what they look like on a stock height Trail Boss. What bumper do you have?
  15. Since 2000.... 2004 2500HD 6.0l CC LT 4x4 2012 1500 5.3l CC LT 4x4 2014 1500 5.3l CC LT 4x4 2016 2500HD DMAX DC LTZ 4x4 2017 2500HD 6.0l DC LT 4x4 Alaskan 2018 1500 6.2l DC LTZ 4x4 2020 1500 5.3l CC LT Trail Boss 4x4 My two favorites being the 2004 2500HD and the 2020 1500 Trail Boss I guess I could have just copied and pasted my signature...
  16. Just replace the muffler with a piece of pipe. Leave the flapper(s) in place. I did it on my 5.3l and don't have any drone. No louder than the Goodyear tires that the Trail Boss come with.
  17. You didn't have to get a larger truck. There are plenty of 1500s than can do 12k plus. Would have been everything you needed.
  18. Have a local shop cut the muffler out and replace it with a piece of pipe. Sounds pretty good and can easily be undone. Cost me $150.
  19. Just my opinion but it seems you bought too little truck for your trailer or too much trailer for your truck depending on which you purchased first. Towing "on the wire" is not the smartest of decisions. Short distances, flat terrain and only occasionally then maybe. Hills/mountains and/or long distances then you need more truck or less trailer. A good rule of thumb is to leave a 10% margin. Your trailer dry was outside of this margin. The letter you received reducing max trailer weight and max tongue weight is inconsequential.
