  1. looking to get the tool to set up the tpms system on my2024 denali altimate for a 5th wheel RV I'm picking up soon. When I look on amazon, these reset tools are 10 bucks to 15 bucks, but when I query 2024 gmc, they all appear, but in one of the pictures it show compatibility, some units only go to 2023 DRW??? how to know if these units will work with 2024 GMC? or is it to just see if they cover 433hz is good enough?
  2. Thanks for the past posts which helped me figure out why the triangle was appearing on the phone symbol. Not sure if this is what I now experience, I place my iphone on the charging pad and the phone symbol then shows a green charging symbol, but within 10-15 seconds the yellow triangle appears??? is the charging pad not charging?? or is the darn thing broken? makes no sense to me
  3. just picked up a new (to me) 2024 Denali Altimate 2500HD and it does not have front license plate bracket. Can not find how the OEM bracket mounts..... does anyone know how? If I have to drill holes into the steel bumper, I might just skip the $40. OEM bracket and press in threaded inserts... any comments?
  4. both key fobs stopped working today. first was remote start would not work, then each button on #1 fob (only fob used since new) would not communicate with truck. inside truck no push start. was told to but fob in transmitter location.. truck started. replaced battery in #1 fob and tried #2 fob same as #1. How could both fobs fail to transmit to the truck? Also lane departure / lane keep has been intermittent for a while (6-9 months) it worked today, but on a 12 mile drive it dropped off / then on 81-10 times... what wrong with the truck with not receiving the transmitted signal from the fob, except in the trans pocket?
  5. my 2020 sierra (denali) trailer plug receiver seems faulty... the brake and turn signals work, no side lights. DIC says pin # 4 (sidelights) and # 5 are not working. The trailer has no electric brakes, so that makes sense... when I plug in the boat trailer, the side lights will light up for 1-3 seconds, then go off. Has GM has issues with these receivers? corrosion? Also the security flash on the tail lights used to flash about every 30 seconds... not there seems to be no pattern of duration, but constantly studder/flash more random.. is the receiver corroded? UPDATE: plugged the trailer into a neighbor's GMC (2018) and all lights stayed on. One left side light was out, the other 3 were on. I ticked the LED sidelight and it came on... all light functions performed correctly. Then plugged into my truck and all side lights lit up... I think the 2020 connector/software on my truck "sensed" a sidelight was out and then just shut down # 4 pin. The older truck didn't shut down #4 pin. All is ok now,,, I just wonder what the actual software is in that plug or operating system?
  6. I first put a Bak Roll X on my 2015 GMC Denali, then onto my 2017 Denali and just put it on my 2020 Denali. I verified the current Revolver II for 2017 and 2020 were different p/ns. I finally found out there was a 1/4" difference between the two versions. I was going to install the Roll X on the 2020 first, before I shelled out another $900. for the new version. I figured if I need 1/4" or 1/8" spacers, I'd have my companies' tool room make them up for me, but I didn't need them. I installed the Roll X and took some time to adjust the unit to cover the tailgate, which meant at the cab end of the cover was closer to the back edge on the bed top rail, but it sealed fine. I have no illusions that any cover is water tight. Don't care as after 5 yrs seldom get more than a few drops of water. After installing the cover, that night we had a hell of a rain storm.. over 2" of rain. Next morning there was a pool of water on right side of the bed, behind the wheel well. I contribute that water to the stake pocket openings. The stake pocket covers I though would fit from the 2017 do not fit,,, seems GM downsized the pockets on the redesign, so waiting for new ones to arrive. I have no complaints on the Roll X cover, only issue is Bak attached their label to both sides using carbon steel pop rivets, which are totally rusted. Yet, if it bothered me enough, I'd drill them out and reattach with stainless steel pop rivets. The tail gate closes fine. with the whole tail gate or with the center portion only... Will reply back once the stake pocket covers are installed to see how the leaking has changed...
  7. I installed a Roll X on 2015 Denali, then onto my 2017 Denali. With the lease running out, I went to Baks website and looked for the Roll X, now called Revolver II or upgrade model Revolver 4. Found that the p/n for the unit was good for models through 2018 as with the style change in 2019, there was a different p/n for the 2019/2020 Revolver II. I pressed on and tried to find the actual difference between them. Finally, I got someone to respond, to say the newer versions are 1/4" wider, due to the bed change. I wasn't going to drop over $800 for 1/4" difference as I figured I could easily shim one rail side a 1/4" or both rail sides 1/8". So decided to try to install the Roll X onto the new 2020. I installed it yesterday. I was prepared to shim if necessary.. but there was no need to... It fit fine. The cover is now over 5 yrs old. Living in upstate NY, the cover gets plenty of snow and salt. The only issue are the plated bolts they supply for the clamping. rust. changed all the hardware to stainless steel, so no corrosion should happen going forward. The cover is still in good shape, and the underside material remains in place. The only complaint is BAK pop rivits their name tag on each side of the cover by the tailgate and those pop rivets are carbon steel and rusted... for 20 cents more they could of used stainless pop rivets.. minor issue just annoying.. cover is dry, but always some drips, usually from the rail stake pockets.
  8. seems the drivers side power running board sometime works when opening the door, but sometime while standing on it, the damn =thing will stow itself, forcing my feet to slide off the step, other times it will extend and re-track before I swing one leg out when getting out of the truck. IS there some switch or sensor that uses the opening of a door to activate these steps? anyone else having these issues?
  9. power running boards not working

  10. Dealer told me that my 2017 Denali 1500 with new 8 sp tranny, its the tranny and GM has no answer to this problem. I did not have this issue with my 2015 1500 Denali(6 sp) was told to drop down a gear or push in button for hauling a trailer and the mis-fire /hesitation will disappear .. well, I'm not going to burn more gas using the towing feature, GM just needs to come up with a fix... $60+K truck and it shutters....
  11. have had Roll-x installed for 15 months. no problems. located upstate Central NY... I try NOT to roll the cover when its below freezing, as who wants to do hauling stuff in those temps. It has been rolled when below freezing, just not very often. again no issues. I did run black RTV under the rubber edges from the front of the bed to where the covers when rolled back stops. This has stopped the very minor drips I use to get when it poured out... overall 100% satisfied with the Roll X cover... I think it has the lowest profile on the market besides...
  12. Not sure if the AC is lacking freon, but it seems the passenger air vents blow HOT air and the driver side cool air.. cycle the different options to see if this will redirect or shut off the hot air coming out of pass side, but no changes.. I think this happened a month ago and cleared itself up, but now, even with turning the passenger side thermostat to 65, it blow hot air ??? is there a service bulletin out on this problem?
  13. suggest contacting Morrie at BAK Factory Outlet.com [email protected] he has been a real good guy to deal with. I have Roll X and it is a great cover. no issues
  14. I got 7443 amber and red for the Denali (front/rear), error codes right away. only solution I know of is to add the load resistors which I will NOT splice into the wiring harness. Maybe there will be a direct swap with 2016 Sierra, which suppose to have both LED rear and headlights...
  15. ok, popped the hood and found the fuses, but can't figure which is the one to remove to add the EP29L? turned on the turn signal with engine off, and can hear the clicking sound, but touching each larger fuse block, can not determine which one it is. And from the pictures on the internet of the EP29L, they all appear to be much larger than any of the ones in the fuse block? in reading the listing of fuses, I can't determine what the name is either??? thanks ahead for any help
