  1. @Gorske the tip arrived today and omg this thing is massive lol it's awesome. Interestingly it came with an instruction sheet which mentions installation on a Dodge Ram 1500... Anyhow the tip can ultimately be used on any truck/car I would imagine. The part number matches the one which I bought off of Summit which said it was "for GM trucks". Question for you... when you had it out the rear behind the tire, how could you describe the location of it, was it basically in line with how the stock exhaust is, regarding how far it sticks out? I have good faith in my installer, I'm sure he'll make it look right.
  2. Sounds a little deeper and more growl than your other vids! Guess what, I'm ordering it RIGHT now finally lol! Of course center/center is on back order. I crawled under my truck it has a offset/center on there right now so I'm just going to order the offset/center, it's still 3 inch. I don't think the fitment alters the sound. I'm also doing the Corsa tip... can't resist!
  3. Just wanted to give a quick update. I am very impressed with the Toro Timemaster 30" mower. This thing is a beast. Pros: Toros personal pace really scoots this thing along! (which can also be a con until you get used to the sensitivity of the handle) Engine runs while blade is disengaged (great for moving objects like sticks etc...) The mower is a little bit heavier than your typical 21 or 22 inch mower which I like - it feels more planted especially if your yard isn't all that smooth. Despite being heavier, it is still very easy to lift and turn around 180. Mulching power seems pretty good, at least for grass clippings. It was shooting grass clipping 4 cuts over (about 120 inches). Cons: Blue filter in gas tank (supposeivly for keeping gas from sloshing around) makes it difficult/impossible to determine how much gas is in the tank. I've filled the tank 3 times now and am still trying to figure out the best way to do it. Still spilling some gas, or removing the can too quickly which results in gas flying everywhere. That's all for now. Oh yea, it takes me approx 45 minutes to mow my entire yard. Its about 1 hour with weedwacking and cleanup with leaf blower.
  4. Yea I ended up going with a Toro Timemaster 30" self propelled. We'll see how this plays out. No sign of mowing the lawn anytime soon in SE Michigan... will definitely report back though!
  5. Thanks Donstar for the feedback. I have very good rapport with my Service Advisor (so does my dad and grandma!) so yea this is just a conversation I need to bring up next oil change and be more serious about. I casually brought it up last time and we had quick discussion but we ultimately both just kind of let it go. I'm almost embarrassed when it's my turn to drive the guys to lunch on Friday and as the truck is shifting thru the gears I can visually see everyones heads bopping back and forth because of the surging or whatever lol. No one ever said anything to me at least
  6. My 8 speed was having one of it's good days on the way into work this morning.. .well... for upshifting at least. Was shifting very smooth. One or two times I was coming to a stop it clunked, not sure which shift it was doing. Anyone annoyed with these 8 speeds when coming to a slow roll at a yield sign? I always seem to get back on the gas while it's changing gears. Does anyone know if the powertrain warranty would cover the dealer going for a "ride along" to see if the trans is acting "normal" or not? My Bumper to Bumper is out.
  7. Jealous!! What about manual upshifting to hold them gears out a little bit?
  8. Did you do the offset muffler or the centered one?
  9. So you have no other mods which would impact the sound right? I've listened to a few other videos and no one elses truck seems to sound like yours. Either they are using junk cameras or I think it may even be because they are just running a 3 inch pipe with no tip. Also, with your idle vids, are those operating temp idles or is it idling around 750rpm or whatever when it's still choking a little to warm the engine? Been watching your vids over and over daily LOL.
  10. Just listened to your new vid plus the older ones where you had it positioned behind the wheel, as well as the before and after the Corsa tip. So, you got rid of the resonator and third cat and only have the muffler. You say no drone, or minimal drone while cruising on the highway around 70-80mph eh? This exhaust sounds really good, sounds sick at idle, especially when you put it in D lol these trucks have a good lope to em!! What kind of sound difference did you notice between the single exit and twin exit tip? I'm getting tired of driving around stock and was really hoping to do a Corsa, but I'm now a new home owner and reality is I can easily justify $300 on an exhaust, not $1100 at this time. I don't want to drive stock for another 2 years or so. I think what I'd do is buy this muffler, take it to a shop and have them remove the factory system and then just fab up a quick cat back out the one side. Edit: just listened to your highway pull vid.... man I miss that sound!!!!
  11. Alright guys, just wanted to follow up on this. I ended up buying the Toro Timemaster 30" mower. Man this thing is big lol, but feels rather nimble. I'll report back once I actually get to mow with it.
  12. I was just lookin online at a 30" Toro Timemaster self propelled. Its a $1000 tho. Or I can get the WalMart special Murray 38" rider for 974$ LOL. Its not a hydrostatic trans tho, Ive only ever used hydrostatic mowers so I think id for sure miss that feature. Part of me feels like the riding mower might be a pain turning around all the time. Ugh! I just found this landscaping lawn cutter calculator online. A 30 inch mower doing 10% overlap at 3mph would cut about 0.84 acres in one hour. So itd take me like 30 to 40 minutes for my lawn im guessing. That's not really too bad I would be ok with that. I wouldn't mind the walking too much.
  13. Thanks for so much feedback guys. Good thing I don't need one for at least a few weeks yet. ☺ It seems the older ones are very solid. A couple people mentioned they have had good luck with newer ones though too.
  14. Man, and I was wondering why when I was surfing some garden tractor forums last night, everyone seems to have old stuff. The nice thing is my lot is basically flat so wear and tear should be relatively minimal. I'll take a look online to see whats around my area for the older stuff. It sounds like a good alternative would be just get the Murray from Walmart for like a $1000 and run it til it dies. I like to think that I take it easy on my equipment and don't give er hell when using it.
  15. Dang, two for two on gettin the old iron...
  16. Hey guys. So I just bought a house this past fall and now spring is coming up here pretty quick. I have a little less than a half acre of land. It's pretty much an open space both front and back. My lot is more or less a square shape, although a little bit wider than deep. The previous owner used a garden tractor/lawn tractor (i'll keep using the term lawn tractor from here out as it seems garden tractors are higher end lawn tractors capable of heavy duty work, which I do not need) to cut the yard. I am thinking I definitely want to do the same... doesn't really seem like something I want to push mow... would take a while just by looking at it. I am looking to spend $2,000 or less. Anyone have any recommendations on what to get? My knowledge is like nothing on these. My grandparents have a newer Craftsman up at the cottage, it has been great but I believe they said it was $2500-2700. When I bought my snowblower this past fall (shout out to the Toro 724 qxe - thing has been awesome even in 4 inches of wet sloppy snow), the guy was showing me a Husqvarna LGT2654 26 HP for about $1800. I did a couple searches and videos on YouTube, people seem to like it. Any thoughts from you guys?
  17. Will be watching this thread. I'm at 31k miles and all of a sudden getting the shake at around 75 to 80mph. I can watch thr center console shake back n forth plus I feel it in the seat. I was driving with my grandma and she said " my butt is shaking!" Lmao
  18. The Michigan one will come with a "Motor City" decal as well as rusted cab corners, rockers, and quarters.
  19. dang still no update on what Chime Volume does??
  20. I remember seeing a chime volume in the settings somewhere. Mine is all the way off, but I still hear the chime, I don't think it adjusts the door open chime. Im not really sure what it adjusted.
  21. Dang you probably took years off your drivetain and overheated the transfer case. Just kidding. You will be just fine, this likely had no impact to your drivetrain components. 30 something miles isn't that many plus you caught it while turning which imo is far worse than driving in a straight line.
  22. Just drop it in D and let er run in 4 banger mode when she wants.
  23. Mine also makes a little bit of a noise, you can hear it if you stand up near the front corner of the truck. Any idea if this is putting some kind of strain on the engine if that hose is collapsing a little?
  24. hmm I will have to check mine. I don't have anything under the seats that are preventing it from going all the way down, but I get this really crazy rattle every so often. Something I noticed is that (I think that seat would be considered "60/40?") the 40 part seems to lock into place better when lowered, while the 60 part doesn't seem to lock into place as well. Your solution sounds like a good idea for your situation.
  25. I don't think I'll ever be able to decide between 2in level w 275/60/20 or 2.5in with 1in taller block and 275/65/20.
