Properly treated In the very end but the process was a long hard fight. GM sadly tries to use ANY argument they can so that you lose. It's sad that I had to bring my 6 year old and 1 month old at the time just to show the arbitratior we're people and not another case. It's sad that we had to wait over a month for our decision on the case. Luckily, he saw through everything and ruled fairly! Sorry I realized I posted with the wrong name earlier, this is the username that I posted all my experiences with

Sorry you are going through this with a 2016 - you can use some of my experiences on your site if you want. Just look though my posts. I'm on my second truck a GMC, first one was replaced by GM. We just got this one back after its final repair attempt with the engineers and it's worse than ever - maybe as bad as our first Silverado. I keep forgetting to post the video of the day we picked it up. I have posted a few other videos on the thread also. What state are you in?
-
Yeah - we did not accept anything and told them we don't need help paying our truck otherwise we would have never bought it. We want it fixed or bought back. I'm not taking a third truck from them. This is it.
-
I also had these on my 2014 rally edition (we had the dueler ATs - maybe that's the difference) and GM bought that truck back. The truck was smooth until first tire rotation and that truck turned into a nightmare. I second rotating the tires just for the heck of it. I'm glad to hear you have no vibrations for now though - I wish I could say I've felt that :/

I'm im the BBB process again and the GM rep offered us ONE MONTHS PAYMENT to make us go away. Is he SERIOUS!?!? We told him we've haven't been so insulted in this whole process as we are right now. THE NERVE OF THESE PEOPLE. He KNOWS this is the second time we're doing this! They didn't even have the nerve to try offering that to us the first time! He didn't even acknowledge the final repair attempt! Nope - 1 months payment.
-
On our first 1500 Silverado they replaced ours and it did make a slight difference but did not solve the problem. We went through the BBB process and ended up settling on a 2015 Sierra and they've just replaced the shaft on this one as well. We'll be filing again with the BBB again shortly. Sorry - but for us and our two trucks the shaft didn't fix it.
-
Good luck! Everytime we drop it off, I say it will not be fixed. It never is. We're taking back the loaner and he's going to keep it and hook up a PICO meter to it. I'll be interested to see what the numbers are......
-
So RF'd number up to 20 are acceptable! 20!?!?! WTH!?!? Ours were "within range" 18,12,15 and 16. We're on another ride with him and it still vibrates - surprise. So I say "well, it must not be the tires!!!!" He actually had the nerve to say he "didn't know what else it could be!!!! everything is in spec!" Although this is fun playing these games - it's much too tiring with only 12 more weeks until we welcome our new family member.
-
Yes he did! The ride was terrible, but he stayed very tight lipped. Its up being looked at again. Not sure if they're going to open another ticket though - darn! If it is not fixed after our third attempt we'll be filing with the BBB again. This truck is already a replacement for our first vibrator which was a Chevy. That's nice of them to try the shocks! They never tried doing that to ours!!!! Check the lemon law guidelines in your state - most are 3 repair attempts and you can file. If you are rally fed up go this route, they'll require one more attempt with an engineer and then you settle.
-
Just picked up our truck, they changed one tire - I think GM is playing a sick joke. We didn't even have to get on the smoothest road, it's that bad. Called the SM after 5 min on the highway - made a Uturn and going to pick him up now. We asked "if we turn around, can you take a ride with us?" His response was "sure", kind of like darn it - he knew it wasn't fixed. At least this'll be our third service ticket opened in 2 weeks. After this, it's off to the BBB again. Edit: He didn't even ask why we wanted him to come with. Hahaha that made us laugh ?
-
Just an update - the loaner we got this time was a Sierra Elevation Edition V8 DC with 20's. This one has Continental tires and although the ride is rough (compared to our SLT) it's pretty smooth. Not sure if it's the truck itself or the tires? Funny that it came stock with a different brand. Anyone else get a GMC delivered with continentals? Asked another stranger with a GMC Sierra CC SLT exactly the same as ours and he says his rides like a car, beat ride ever - I'm boggled.
-
This is becoming a second full time job for us too! Second truck, second attempt already - it's starting to get old!
-
We are 2500 miles into our new GMC Sierra SLT CC coming from a Chevy Silverado LT DC Rally 2 and we already had them look at the slight vibration it developed. Got the truck back yesterday - worse than before. Looks like we're starting this process all over again. We did not buy on employee discount so I think we will push for a complete buy back and switch brands. Absolutely in love with this truck but with a new baby due in 3 months I can't keep dealing with this.

The sales manager at the dealership we picked up our new truck at said the same exact thing. It's the front end, he also added that it was too light. He also said THEY ALL DO IT. Yup, they all do it. Now does everyone feel it? Maybe not. Do small differences in the build make a difference? Maybe. Who knows why it's so bad in some and not in others. The Chevys we drive were SO bad and they were brand new. All the sierras we not as bad. I wonder why?
-
You sound like us, haha! We resorted to stopping people and asking them as well. We went through the exchange process and picked up our new 2015 GMC Sierra CC SLT on Sunday. We got out of a 2014 Silverado LT Rally 2 DC that shook like crazy. We drove 3 Silverados and 7 Sierras. This one was the smoothest by far. I can honestly say it rides "as smooth as glass". It has slight vibes but you can feel it's road related and you have to remember it's a truck. But my goodness what an improvement. It truly is a pleasure to ride in now, just keeping my fingers it stays this way! When you are looking for a new one be sure to accelerate hard and feel for a grinding vibration at around 4500 rpms. We've found on a lot of ones we tried. They rebuilt our diferential and it improved so we found that it was directly linked to a differential that might be out of spec in turn creating problems down the line. Our new truck does not have it on hard acceleration. Good luck!
-
We as well have driven 7 Sierra SLTs and a total of four Silverados. All 1500s, al with 20s. We finally found ONE that has *almost* no vibrations. The guy at this dealership said they all do it plain and and simple. He blamed it on the front ends being too light. Granted I think certain trucks like mine have way bigger issues because it's a freakin mess now. Something is bound to fall off. Hopefully giving this one back and picking up our new replacement next week!! ? we're prepared for it to vibrate down the road sadly enough, hopefully the new truck can be fixed with tires if it happens!
-
True, I'll mention it to the GM rep dealing with our case! Can't hurt!
-
This has been our service dealership and they have been nothing but awesome. The sales people have all been awesome except for this guy. Funny, because when I showed him the video of one of HIS loaners on Tuesday he was SHOCKED. Now, today it "wouldn't bother him". Please, he's shady as all hell and the sales guy wordlessly apologized about him on our way out. If we end up with another Chevy I will continue bringing it to that dealership for service, but no way will I ever give them a dime!

2015 Silverado LT Vibration/Shaking
Bdkfl replied to MA-Silverado's topic in Troubleshooting & Recalls
They had to order 4 to get 2 straight ones for us. The multiple dealers have also confirmed to me that they have issues with new tires. They are not happy with Goodyear. I know this for a fact. -
Haha! YUP! Nice to see you on here! She called me yesterday ?

Just went to my Chevrolet dealer to drive another truck. Took a 2015 CC with 20s and thing shook the crap out of you at 74. We took it back and we asked the salesman if he'd drivin it at 74, he said no he only got to 70. Went in told the manager that at 74 it was jnbearable(seriously, no where near as bad as the GMCs we drove) and he said it's probably time we buy something else. Then proceeded to tell us he'd bet us $1000 it wouldn't bother him. WTF. You don't say that. Because you're on. My Husband said lets go and of course he didn't have time. I looked him straight in the eye and said "yes, it will bother you". We will NOT be returning to that dealership to purchase a vehicle EVER. Edit: it had 31 miles on it when we took it.

We know someone that just bought a Sierra SLT Z71 last week and has less than 1,000 miles on it and went down to Key West and felt the vibration. First thing she did was start googling.

2015 Silverado LT Vibration/Shaking
Bdkfl replied to MA-Silverado's topic in Troubleshooting & Recalls
In our search for our replacement truck, we have driven 4 2015 Sierras, all of which had a mild vibration, two worse than the other two. The Sales manager admitted to us that some have smoothed out after 500 miles (I've talked to some people who have had it happen) and they've had quite a few come back with the problem and they've managed to fix "most" of them. Most. Now he also disclosed to me there was a Denali owner with which things got VERY heated with and he wanted to bring the truck back. The dealership paid for a set of Michelins out of their own pocket and problem solved. As the owner of a truck that they have replaced a bunch of tires, rebuilt the differential, replaced the drive shaft and loosened and tightened a bunch of stuff, don't let them tear apart your truck too much, because I'm pretty sure in my case it made things 10x worse. Good luck to you! -
Hopefully it helps! Unfortunately for us I feel like all the rebuilding and messing with our truck has messed it up beyond repair. Now when we drive it feels like something's just going to fall off. I can't even drive 30 min on the highway without feeling like I just want to jump out.

2015 Silverado LT Vibration/Shaking

This is the vibe on my 2014 Silverado 5.3. You don't want this. Trust me, it's to the point where it's making me car sick it shakes so much. They've torn apart my truck and it seems every week it gets progressively worse.
