  1. Wow, they are seriously steamrolling you! Already, the other dealers should have helped you. I bought my truck over an hour away and have been dealing with my local dealership since day one of my problem. 5 trips so far. They have been nothing but awesome and have done everything they can, these words came out of my service managers mouth. If I were you I would look into the lemon law in OK. Make a detailed log of everything that has happened and how they are turning you away. Try to record some conversations if you can. Take a video of the vibration and another in a different car on the same road to show them the road isn't the issue. I would also ask if a statement from a certified machanic about the problem would help your case to show there is a problem. We saw another rally 2 (exactly like ours) parked twice at a machanics and stopped this last time to talk to the owner. The machanic WAS the owner and he said it's not normal, but he's living with it. He only tows on the highway so he doesn't care...... I guess since he can fix it himself after the fact he doesn't bother with reliability? ANYWAYS, if your Lemon law procedures are like here in FL you will go in front of a board with GM and they will decide what happens. Hope this helps!
  2. What state are you in? Also, even if you complained about the vibration and its stated on the WO what did they do? Did they fix things or did they just had you back your truck and note that no vibration was felt? Can you try another Chevy dealer near you? First step is getting the dealership to work with you, if on all work orders they deny a problem the BBB will be of little help because it's basically your word against GMs. Sad I know. Have you looked into the lemon law in your state?
  3. Thank you!!!!!!!! Glad to hear from someone here in the same state! Seems like with all we've been through it should *fingers crossed* go smoothly. We've filed the BBB autoline so we should hear from them soon. I'm trying to stay optimistic, but getting this truck back in no better state than I left it really upset me, I love this truck! When they told you to pick out any vehicle, was it within your MSRP? Or was it ANY GM vehicle? And if you don't mind me asking, what'd you pick?
  4. Brought my truck in for the vibes and they addressed a recall on it. It says recall #15203 rear break line bracket to rear axle loose. They inspected the bracket bolt, set to 18 ft lbs and retorqued the bolt. BTW the vibes are worse than when I dropped it off. I'm done. Does ANYONE have any good and deep info into getting Chevy to take this thing back? Thinking about trying to go the lemon law route. I've posted elsewhere but nobody seems to have much info.
  5. I do think since you purchased it acknowledging the vibration they may not be willing to work with you. They technically gave you things in return for accepting the shake. You could always try but in your case you purchased the truck with the knowledge of it have the vibrations. Give it a shot!
  6. We also have 22" rims and issues with the back. They completely rebuilt the differential (ring and pinion) and that's where we felt the best improvement. Both readings of the differential and the shaft we WAY off balance from factory. Pretty much the whole truck was built off spec, things weren't lubed where they should have been. I'm wondering what went on when they built ours. It's a Nov. 2014 build. They ordered a brand new shaft built within the last two months and installed that and we didn't feel much of a change after that. Still not fixed though, it's back at the dealer today and the 2015 LT Z71 with 500 miles they gave us as a loaner still has some vibration at highway speeds. We can't win!
  7. Our 2014 Rally 2 is back in the shop as of this morning. They've road forced the tires a few times, changed all four tires, lubed something that wasn't done when it was built, rebuilt the rear differential, replaced the drive shaft. Luckily we have a dealer that is really working with us. It's been in the shop 5 times now. Biggest improvement was when they rebuilt the deferential. Still vibrates. Be ready to be in it for the long haul. Be nice with the dealership and they'll work with you. If this last trip doesn't fix it we'll be going the lemon law route. Keeping our fingers crossed! Good luck to you!
  8. So just got the truck back after another trip to the dealer. That makes 4 trips total. They've changed the rear drive shaft, no improvement. Previous trips include changing all four tires, road forcing and balancing the tires numerous times and rebuilding the rear differential. One of the higher ups at the dealership understands our frustration and has told us to try the truck today (we planned a two hour trip so perfect to try it out) and if it's not fixed, to essentially throw them the keys, he'll provide a loaner, and tell them not to give it back until it's fixed. Thank goodness he's on our side! This is looking more and more like a buy back case. My wife is tired of being jostled around in her seat. Note: it's a Rally 2 edition with the 22" rims and low profile tires. They kept trying to tell us it's because the tires are "aggressive". Please.
  9. What scares me too ! We planned on keeping this truck a while , not like the last ram I bought , traded it in10 month for this truck
  10. Does your truck have rear locking differential?? Is it 4wd? Or really basic ? Does your truck have rear locking differential?? Is it 4wd? Or really basic ?
  11. I actually tried a little earlier today the whole transmission theory on my vibrating loaner @ 76 mph on cruise control . For me no change whatsoever, I put it in manual 6,5 and 4 th . Still the same vibration. Also tried turning off the traction control.... No luck either
  12. This issue is a pita!! The reason why I said the previous poster might be onto something with the rear locking differential is because you do feel it more when on a bend for example on the highway or on a uphill when your tires could have a bit of uneven traction. Somehow sounds like a possibility. Then again it could be anything at this point. Rear locking differential is an option and you have it too . Seems to me so far that the ones who have the issue have this option. Let's see if anyone without it vibrates too. I know one of the loaner without locking differential didn't vibrate but then again had only 500 miles. This issue is a pita!! 13. My 2014 rally 2 has the problem with locking differential and the loaner a Ltz z71 has it too . They both are doing the same in between 70 and 80 mph. The ls v6 loaner they gave me once didn't have any issue and am sure didn't have a locking dif. So far the have balanced the tires, put 4 new ones and balanced them . My truck is at the dealership again . Still the same . What's odd is that the first day or two after they changed the tires it was much smoother. A week later pretty much worst then before the change . You might be onto something with the locking rear differential... Seems like it's more of the higher end ones having problem. Let's hear what other have to say
