  1. Still do not have the truck back. Will be a total of 18 days without it. Should have no issues with a brand new engine, but if things were not put back correctly, who knows...............
  2. Close, not sure of which cylinder, but had a broken push rod. Dealer did tests and found abnormal wear on the cylinder walls and are replacing whole engine per GM. They said that the only broken item was the push rod.
  3. Should be a GT or GU code. Connect with GM customer service on the site here and request a build sheet.
  4. Probably last thing you want to hear, but has it ever leaked? Might want to check for stains on the headliner, if water has gotten into the switches, you might have a faulty switch like the last poster suggested.
  5. You are very welcome.
  6. I guess I fall somewhere in middle of the masses here, my 14 was a POS, and my 16 has been 99.9 % perfect. I personally think the 18 was a great decision.
  7. Try this. Resetting the Power Folding Mirrors Reset the power folding mirrors if: . The mirrors are accidentally obstructed while folding. . They are accidentally manually folded/unfolded. . The mirrors will not stay in the unfolded position. . The mirrors vibrate at normal driving speeds. Manually fold both mirrors if they are out of sync. Fold and unfold the mirrors three times using the mirror controls to reset them to their normal position. A popping noise may be heard. This sound is normal after a manual folding operation.
  8. It is just an image on the screen, does not function. Did not move on my 14 or the 16 I have now.
  9. That looks awesome too! Nice work! Wonder if the Bow Tie comes in any other colors?
  10. And when has that ever stopped you from doing stuff in the past? It is part of her job.
  11. That looks awesome! Nicely done!
  12. Yikes, is that a dent just to the left and up of the bushing? They might balk on the warranty and say it was abuse. You might have damaged the rod that runs the length of the tailgate, number 14 in the schematic. Good luck.
  13. That is an awesome looking truck, plus looks like some really good deals on Coca-Cola products too!
  14. Yes, cut the bolt. If you bought the hooks from GM they come with new hardware, so no point in trying to save the old bolt by tearing off/moving things that don't need to be touched. Above poster with the sawzall is the best idea, exactly what i did.
  15. Did the same thing in my truck, replaced the plug and now it works great. The replacement plug is the older one so you have the sd card slot like the 14's and 15's.
  16. That is a good deal, sell the originals on craigslist/offer up and buy some more "mods".
  17. you are very welcome. Take offs or did you buy them new?
  18. That looks really good!!!
  19. Good thinking, what type of container/tube does it come in?
  20. Yea, I agree. I had to glue the seat cover on my 16 back in place. There are two plastic tracks that hold the cover onto the seat frame, they came loose, some Gorilla glue and no more problems. The sunroof pieces really serve no purpose, seems like they would use some sort of adhesive at least to keep it in place.
  21. You are very welcome. I used the Gorilla Gel super glue, it was still holding when I traded the truck in.
  22. Mostly cosmetic, just hides the guts of the sunroof tracks. My 08 did not even have anything, just exposed sunroof parts. The "bellows" on the 14 are kind of crap, the one on my drivers side kept falling off, so I just super glued it back into place. The same item on my 16 is a much better item, it is larger, so it covers more of the working parts, and fits a lot better. See if they can replace the pieces with the newer versions, overall better piece.
  23. If that is the problem, could not see why it would not be warranted. When the 08 went bad, it actually blew both bulbs, so I replace the 3rd brake light thinking that was it, but when I plugged it in, no power. The dealer was actually the one who found out it was the fuse box not sending power to the light.
  24. Check the fuse in the large fuse box in the engine compartment. Had the fuse for the 3rd brake light fail in my 08, had to replace the whole box because you can not fix just one fuse port.
