    will be picking up a 2021 gmc denali 3500 dually today. just a question on break in. this truck is going to be pulling a 6 horse trailer, should i put some easy miles on it first or is it safe to just put it to work

    it is to prevent the plastic from rattling against the windshield , not a seal

    start by replacing the oil pressure sending unit, it is just below the throttle body.

    towed a tandem axle enclosed trailer last night temp got to 122, will see what it gets to loaded today

    you need to get the codes read and post them, there are few different things that can cause that problem

    if you can just lean your summer tire against the side of your truck and see if you can relearn them, if you can then you know you have bad sensors in the winter tires

    the temps here in ontario have been 20 to 30 degrees and my tranny runs at 104, in the summer when it was 80 degrees it ran 160

    as dumb as it sounds , i read another post on this problem of using aftermarket cats and the solution was to put oem cats on and the problem was fixed

    vcx nano for gm is the cheapest way to go. it is sometimes a pain in the a%% to get it to connect , but works really well. i use mine a lot

    it is been stated many times, until 2014 every gm truck ran without the thermostat with no problems. i live in canada and removed mine, dont notice any difference in how the transmission works

    would help to know what year it is, but if it is 99 to 2006 some were known to rub through the wires for tow haul mode. take the plastic cover off the steering column and look at the wires going to the switch

    dont know how to really describe it, moan, groan or drone. it only happens between 1600 and 1800 rpms. does not matter what the temperature is when it does this. the rpm's hold steady. i only hear the noise when accelerating , every gear the noise starts at that rpm range. anything above or below and the noise is gone.

    need a better scan done, need to see the freeze frame data of when the cel was triggered. your symptoms point to an injector problem, but you need to have a full scan done first

    did you replace the screen type filter, remove the oil pressure sensor again and then remove the filter in behind it
