  1. Well I finally solved my vibration issue. Ordered a 2018 Jeep Rubicon the other day. Between the hassle with the dealer on the vibration issue and the wife complaining the truck was too big, I have thrown in the towel. Will miss this forum...take care.
  2. Got a call from the GM advisor and was asked about the truck, told him it's still the same. Then he told me that I have the wrong tires on it as they are ATs from Bridgestone. I advised him that the GM specs for my truck called for ATs not those cheap Goodyear all seasons. And when I first got the truck it had the Goodyears and it vibrated then. I also told him that these tires were put on by the dealer and that according to GM requirements they are considered OEM and that's the reason I went with them. I told him that if GM wants to buy new tires, have at it. Also told him I was going to be in a different state for awhile, surprisingly, he told me that to call him and he would arrange for me to go to a GMC dealer where I am.. The story continues, ....a different brand is looking better and better..
  3. The solution is trade it in for another brand...
  4. Well got my truck back today. Was told they did find the left front tire and wheel out. Road Force was at 37 lbs but they said it was brought down to 13lbs. Drove it out on the interstate for 70 miles at 75, still vibrates but not as bad, even passenger felt it in the seat. Still has slight vibration at 41-50 too. Gonna be busy next few months but I think this fall I will dump this piece of garbage. Damn shame, never thought I would be a Dodge or Ford man..
  5. Got a call from dealer today. Told me tire guy found a front tire and 20"rims out of spec. Something about the rim not flush on the hub..now they want the truck for another day...hey you never know, maybe they will fix it
  6. Careful what you say!!They might take over your truck out on the freeway and that would be bad...
  7. Well GM now wants me to take my truck back to the dealer so they can compare it to a 2017 truck off the lot. I asked the GM Rep , what if the truck on the dealer's lot vibrates, does that make mine normal?? This should be interesting.
  8. This is my 5th GM truck in about 20 years and most likely my last. Hell, at this point I might even consider a Dodge..
  9. Well, got a call from an 800 number today, hung up the first time, all I could hear was the background of a call center. Turned out it was GM calling about my vibration complaint. Evidently they are now using a call center to make the calls. The guy who called could barely speak English. I am so enthused about the outcome of my complaint....
  10. If it's outside then I would suspect the cat, Toyotas had this problem years ago, they finally had a recall on it, something to do with ecm. My Father had one of the Toyotas, stunk like hell in his car.
  11. Last summer the truck vibrated like hell at 75 so I took it to a Bridgestone dealer, they road forced and rotated the tires on my 20" rims, all was fine until local dealer rotated the wheels. Now it vibrates at both 41-50 and around 75. But at 75 it comes and goes. Contemplating just saying the hell with it and buying new 18" rims and tires.
  12. My dealer had the truck for another day today, said they were going to do all sorts of tests. Got it back, was told "performing as designed"..the SOBs even scratched my rims again too! I sorta knew that they would say this after "consulting" with GM. Wrote GM today, guess I will start the bullshit with GM now. The service writer did not even write the complaint down right.
  13. Here you go.. http://www.ebay.com/itm/New-OEM-2006-Ford-F-150-Frame-Damper-Kit-Vibration-6L3Z5D008B-6L3Z-5D008-B-/191972089076?hash=item2cb26d9cf4:g:No8AAOSwmLlX2vRR&vxp=mtr
  14. Dealer called today after I complained no one had called me back for 4 days. They want the truck for tests and will give me a loaner. Will have to see what they find..
  15. My truck has the 20" wheels, when I first got it there was a slight vibe at the 41-49 mph, bitched about the Goodyears and dealer put on Bridgestone ATs. Rode pretty good for awhile, then one day got a hell of a vibration at 75. Took the truck to a Bridgestone dealer, they road forced the tires and rotated. All was good after that with only a slight vibe at 41-49 once in awhile, which I could live with. Few weeks ago had dealer do service , they rotated the tires and bingo, back to vibrations at both low and high speed. They have balanced the tires few times, nothing but a hassle. Been seriously considering buying 18" rims and a set of Cooper ATPs ..also been looking at different brand of trucks too.
  16. I know someone that used the dryer sheets in his MH. The mice used them to make a nest
  17. After reading these posts I decided to check mine truck seeing as we spent last summer in CT where the truck was parked outside. Sure as hell, the filter was full of crap along with a mice nest and about a 1000 mice turds...nice to know I had been breathing this for a couple of months ......that little ball of lint you found is a mouse nest....
  18. Yup, bring it to dealer. Mine has never gone over 210 and we have a lot of mountains out here.
  19. Thanks, it's going in for service in a few days so I will bring it up to the service writer for what that is worth..
  20. I noticed that for the past couple of days I can hear and slightly feel a clunk towards the rear when I come to a stop. I am thinking it might be the splined shaft on the drive shaft need lube....any thoughts?
  21. This will make your day......GM just posted the biggest quarter profit ever....
  22. I doubt you will get an even trade, Gm will factor in the miles you have put on your truck...
  23. I would not bank on it but it sounds like a problem with the auto memory, truck is supposed to remember your last heat, radio, seat positions etc...works off specific key fob.
  24. If anyone has noticed, the post counter has been at the same number for all of the "GM" posts...troll.......
  25. If that's the case, you would probably have to pay for a new tune.
